I'm Surprised by Zay Jones' Slow Start
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of what is going on to Zay is the speed of the NFL game. The timing is like going from 33 to 45rpm. He's trying to show what he can do but he's over thinking it. He'll calm down and be o.k. -
Does it feel different NOW?
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to MarlinTheMagician's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't see any "The game is out of reach let's just go through the motions" like the last few seasons. They fought like warriors on the field. The guys ran out to congratulate each other almost to a man. That's a team! Is it a fluke? I don't think so. They are coming together. It might not be overnight but you can definitely see a difference in their play. -
I always consider the glass half full, but I admit I was a wee bit doubtful about the outcome. But HALLELUYA the Bills circled the wagons. I do see a difference in this team, they are gelling. Still have work to do but..........

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy. Get my drift?

30 years a fan
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have been a Bills fan for 51 years. Went to my first game when I was 16 at the old rockpile. I will be a Bills fan till the day I die. I just hope I'm still here when they "win" a Superbowl. Like a friend said once "Just once before I die" -
Tyrod to strong safety? J/K
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to behind a post WMS69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod is too short to play DB. Maybe safety position? I'd rather see him as a running back and thank God this topic is only a what if!! -
What Other Surprises Await The Bills ??
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We as the fans don't have a voice in any decisions they make. We just gripe and whine and gnash our teeth, bang our heads on the wall, drink, dream and speculate. But do we give up going to the games? Do we give up on watching them on tv? Nope! We just sit and suffer. Will the Bills get better? Who the hell knows!!! It's the prospect of them actually, maybe, hopefully having a winning season that keeps us coming back. If nothing else, we Bills fans are eternal optimists. I for one will be a fan win or lose. Go Bills!! -

So Boldin retired?
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe a combination of both him knowing that he was not going to perform at a high level, and that the Bills probably not going to a playoff game. He really did not look good in the preseason game ( too slow) but he was very valuable as a teacher to young players. I suppose he had his reasons for bailing. Ok nuff said, let's move on. -
Watching the 2 preseason games I had that same old sinking feeling. But you know what? They are just that.....preseason. We have a smart GM and a dedicated coach and yeah they made a huge wave when they traded Sammy and Ron, but they knew that without some new talent (better?) picked up in the draft, there was no end in site for the playoff drought. Stock piling draft picks is a great way to have leverage to wheel and deal. New England does it all the time. Not to mention the Bills will find that diamond in the rough through the draft eventually. Yeah it gets frustrating waiting for the time has come scenario but I think there could be light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully that light is not a train coming in the other side! GO BILLS!

REAL Trade Proposal - Jerry Hughes
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah you're right. Just thinking it would be good if we got a receiver with speed. -
REAL Trade Proposal - Jerry Hughes
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not either one but he may not play very much before the injury pops up again. So we trade him and get a healthy LT AND maybe wr? -
REAL Trade Proposal - Jerry Hughes
BillsfaninMyrtleBeach replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, you don't want that trade. Jerry will be a bright light in our defense. He is made for the 4-3. He gets up to speed and he will be a monster! How about trading Cordy? If his foot is better we might be able to get a good trade for him? -
If they are in "tank" mode I am done with them. I have been a Bills fan for a lonnnnnggggg time but if they tank it that is it! I hope they have more integrity than that. I really don't think they would do that but you never know. Sammy was a great receiver but was injury prone. Darby, well I don't know about why they traded him.

Call your doctor if an erection lasts more than 4 hours???? Hell NO, I'm going to call another woman over!!! -
You hate to see any player injured. But unfortunately it is the nature of the beast. Football is a violent sport and it can end a career in the blink of an eye. The players know it and it is always in the back of their minds. For the love of the game (and the money) they are out there risking their health full knowing that on any play they could get hurt. They are tough guys and I admire them. O.k. not ALL of them but most.
