  1. A friend and I watched the game in a bar. It was blacked out locally, but bars could still legally show a satellite feed of the game. The place was elbow to elbow the whole first half, as I stood there with a glass in one hand and a pitcher of beer in the other, and not even a wall to lean on. When it was 28-7 at the half the place emptied out a bit and my friend asked what I wanted to do. I pointed to some now open seats with a good view of the big screen, reminded him the wives might want us to take them to a mall, or fix something, or watch the kids if we went home, and noted that the beer was cold. So we sat down. On the opening of the third and the quick turn to 35-7, half the bar left, and he asked me again. I looked at him and said "the beer is still cold" so we stayed. The rest is history.
  2. This action, combined with Jauron saying Peters played well, is excellent coaching. As far as WE know Jauron ripped Peters a new one after the press corps left. Kudos to Kirk Chambers! Even Peters admits he reported in shape, but after looking at his peers, he knew he was not in GAME shape.
  3. The sad part is that you're right!
  4. Actually they went in 28-3 at the half. Beginning of the third they went down 35-3 (on an INT?). Your point is well taken. Fans who left were climbing fences to get back in by the 4th quarter. Hobs has a valid point: "Even the kids . . they've got the kids out there, where I'm hearing they're even crying over this and that's a direct relationship from the parents down. Is it that bad? You've got people dying every day. This is a sport. And you've got kids out there crying over a loss in the regular season? It makes me look at it like, 'Am I supposed to be crying?' "
  5. I will start by saying I hope the Bills go 16-0 and win the Super Bowl. I have been saying "wait til next year" for way too long. To say the Bills are #6 in Power rankings in the whole NFL, when their opponents records so far is a combined 3-6, is absurd. They also have one of the easiest overall season schedules in the league. That said - they have the potential to be the best. They are learning what it likes to be winners. GO BILLS !
  6. At least it was not 8mm.
  7. I pulled a Ray Romano and taped over the Yankees last game, as well as the ESPN special on the Stadium and the YES Network show "Yankeeography: Yankee Stadium" The wife is P*ssed and I am in the doghouse. Can anyone help?
  8. The once and only time I was there was 2006 (or maybe it was 2005) with Babyrock - when I met up with you and Phil and Matt. Quite the experience! We made the "photos of the year" album.
  9. All I know is we have two consecutive 4th quarter comebacks.
  10. Please post comments there, not here. Linkee thing
  11. FINALLY! I had to paste in the URL, beacuse te linky thing did not work. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/567241170WnnZAi
  12. What is the difference between a Raiders fan and any other football fan? Lipstick! Did Oakland ever pay back the money Ralph Wilson loaned Al Davis to keep his franchise solvent back in the AFL? How many stadium seats do you cover to call it a sellout? I hope it is 51-3 because the Oakland Raiders could not beat the ROCHESTER Raiders! spam, spam, spam, spam
  13. I did a double take for just a moment. I love lots of offense and high scores too, but as long as Buffalo ends each game with the most points I will be very satisfied.
  14. I grade them "W".
  15. You got that right. All that matters is that the Bills win. At the end of the season, that is the only stat anyone remembers!
  16. Actually the 2004 home opener attendance was 72,390. Get yer facts straight if you are going to report them. (I made that up)
  17. Would you please stop making sense? Why should I be happy the Bills are 2-0 ? All the critics should go read the Jacksonville news headlines on TBD's front page, THAT WAS THE BILLS NOT TOO LONG AGO! enjoy
  18. I am just taking it a week at a time and am delighted the Bills are 2-0. They are building confidence, and need to not become overconfident. The bandwagon bus is in the driveway, waiting for the next game as usual (metaphorically speaking). Come on board!
  19. True, especially since they have a defensive end lining up as an offensive wideout. Apparently there was already confusion on the Seattle side. They only had ten players out there, sent the 11th in late, and no one picked Denney up. I have a feeling if he was covered, Lindell makes the kick. Bill Game Highlights Select tab for Teams/Buffalo Bills and watch full highlights "Buffalo 43, Seattle 10" (3:46) or select Ryan Denney "Can't miss play: Sneaky Bills" (:58) to just watch that play. The announcer calls it a return (to Buffalo?) gift from April to DeHaven.
  20. That was my first thought.
  21. I am not able to see farther than one week ahead. I have had my heart stomped on too many times. Even my daughter (Babyrock), after the Bills went up 34-10 looked at me and warned "Don't say it, Dad!" I told her all I wanted to say was "Holy sh--"
  22. My problem is that I usually buy between 10 and 20 tickets. I ended up buying 10 tix (with fees and shipping) $67 each for $45 seats on StubHub. I had to return money to eight others and wish them luck. I paid the tailgate party separately, but no grudge about that! Thanks to all. It was GREAT! There will eventually be pictures posted.
  23. The noise level and crowd participation level in upper level 315 was just fine! You could hear the "roar" in the lower bowl. No one did the wave. It was a little quiet in Q1, when we had to adjust from sunny and 70 to rain showers and cold winds. We had rain gear, but were in t-shirts and shorts and it was cold. BUT all things considered it was a wonderful day! Never left the tail gate until maybe 6:30.
  24. 1. If you have something written on the ass of your shorts, I will read it. 2. Girls farts do not stink.
  25. Thanks Lori! The thing that worries me the most, and has been the bane of Buffalo's defense, has been "third and long". How does Seattle perform in that situation, and do you think Buffalo's D is better at breaking that terrible tradition? I expect to be sharing a Sam Adams with you in less than 24 hours if you want to answer me then! My goal is a bowling ball shot for breakfast!
