  1. I thought you weren't going to be there. Hi, Annie! Wearing your hat again??
  2. That's what the ladies say about you!
  3. Only in winter, when I need the heat. I will be there, of course. I think I only missed one lunch since we started. Probably on vacation.

  5. The largest concentration of TBDers for the home opener will likely be at Hammer's. Always a good place to stop.
  6. Maybe she wanted to see the view from the Rockpile section.
  7. If you're not up for a plate, Chris, have a diet pepsi. Don't worry, my head will be shaved, so I will pose as the cancer patient for you. Looking forward to seeing you and Mrs. Campy again!
  8. That is my prediction for the first offfensive play of the season!
  9. Jim Kelly lost his first game to the Jets, but split game MVP honors with Ken O'Brien,
  10. At the moment, 14 of 18 threads preceding yours are about football, mostly the Bills. Helps when there is a game to talk about. :Pm Hang in there!
  11. Someone said yesterday that prices were higher at the reservation. Can anybody confirm that?
  12. Anyone else remember the stink that was made when "rocky mountain high" John Denver actually did this in the middle of the 70's fuel "shortage"? Mr. Natural was just making sure that at least HE had HIS!
  13. I don't know, but that is exactly what I am seeing here. I was just thinking back to the "gas shortages" in the early 70's when they would close the station, barricading the entrances with signs that said "out of gas" when they HAD plenty. That was when I lived in Jersey, and many of the gas station managers had big dogs and shotguns. One time I ran out of gas, while waiting in a long line of cars for my turn to buy a $5 ration of gas (yes they rationed gas!). I think prices were pushing up close to 50 cents a gallon. We were pushing my "hippie" van along the line when the barricades went up. I went and talked to the manager who told me to just discretely hang out until the mob (literally an angry mob) left and he would fill my tank. I had only asked for enough gas to get home. I guess being polite paid off.
  14. Some larger stations are placing orange cones around some of their pumps. My speculation is that they are either trying to ration their current supply so they stay open all week, or they are holding back gas they already have to sell for 20 cents a gallon more tomorrow. I just don't know.
  15. Cheapest Friday reported gas is at Refiners on Culver between Nortion and 104 - $2.95. Seems $3.03 is the best average price today. I wouldn't count on it. The used car lots are filling fast and the trade in value is poor. On the plus side, brought home my new (2005 year end ) Honda Accord last night , and the tank was full.
  16. Remembering a two and a half hour drive from the Holland Tunnel to the Brooklyn Bridge on a Saturday afternoon, with no crisis in sight, I can only imagine trying to evac a city during an emergency. What does make me sick to my stomach now is seeing the Gulf Coast look like a third word disaster area. It seems like we could get some food, medicine, water and big guys with guns to restore order in there by now. <ding> Whoops! Gotta go!
  17. I am not in favor of it, but do not care enough to vote no. I will probably not visit there.
  18. ...and didn't they lose that game? The future is now. I will repeat what you said, "JP is the ONLY choice."
  19. Moulds, Evans, and McGahee should play one or two series., same with most of the D "stars". On ST leave in Lindell and Moorman, but pull the starting return men early. The unit that needs to gel is rest of the offense. But what do I know anyway.? You would not be a Bills fan if you were not an optimist.
  20. Send Scott's message to everyone you know.
  21. I do not spend money on any of those things. I guess I could cancel RoadRunner and the base package Dish, but that's just two tanks of gas. You are right that we all spend a lot of money on sh-- we don't really need, then cry about the cost of essentials. Most can afford gas. To me the biggest deception is that gas HAS to cost this much, and cars cannot get better mpg, without mortgaging the farm for a hybrid. We are being schtupped. BTW: The place I usually buy my gas (cheapest close gas) went from $2.51 to $2.75 a gallon. Luckily both the wife and I live within two miles of our jobs. Many of you seem to be getting really hosed !
  22. Of course this refers to the Detroit game!
