  1. I live in Watertown, NY and our local CBS did not switch over until after the Browns game ended.
  2. Love the wrestling reference there. Well done.
  3. Imminently, it means Spectrum subscribers cannot watch Jessica Pegula’s U.S. Open match tonight.
  4. For anyone that argues against tanking for any altruistic reasons: When we started 0-8 in 2010 and then went 4-4 in the second half to drop from the top pick to the third pick, the two players chosen in front of us were Cam Newton and Von Miller. Then we took Dareus. I'd take Newton or Miller over any single player on our roster right now.
  5. I don't see how your response discredits Billsflyer's point. Think of it like the housing market. You can use your equity to pay cash for a house now, or you can take out a loan because you think a better house will come on the market in a year, but then you are saddled with that debt. The debt is only worth it if you believe the second house to be far superior. If they are even roughly equivalent, use your equity to pay cash (use your own draft pick). It's the best analogy I could think of on the spot.
  6. This. So much this. Those who are comparing the current supporting casts and noting the Andy Reid influence are missing the point. The point is we could have drafted Mahomes with our regular pick, no trades. Instead we traded multiple starters to acquire the draft capital to trade up twice for Allen, and gutted our roster in the process. We could have drafted Mahomes without trading anything.
  7. I absolutely subscribe to this. Witness Christian Hackenberg.
  8. The worst that can happen if you move to 5 now is that all four QBs go in the top four and you get your choice of Barkley or Chubb at 5. Both are elite. Not an awful worst case scenario.
  9. He saved the program at Penn State. He doesn't get nearly enough credit for the job he did there.
  10. Agree with those that suggest using the franchise tag. It's there, so use it.
  11. I agree with you on this. He is not ready to start this year, and we will win at least the first game in Buffalo if Hackenberg has to start it. That's why I think we were a better landing spot for him than NYJ. He wouldn't have to start for us year one. Week 17 is a difficult to predict because it could be meaningless and feature non-starters more than normal. I'll be sporting though and take your bet. As a Bills fan, it's a bet I'd be happy to lose.
  12. I will go on record saying that Hackenberg will be better than TT in five years. Screen cap it. I overreacted with the 10x comment, but thinking that TT will be the better of the two long term is Kool-Aid.
  13. We'll obviously never know what he might have looked like under three years of O'Brien. I doubt he would have regressed like he did under Franklin. His ceiling is higher than Tyrod's, but which way their careers will go is anyone's guess.
  14. That is completely possible. Maybe even probable.
  15. Christian Hackenberg has 10x more upside than Tyrod Taylor. I say this as a lifelong BIlls fan. Penn State had a high school level offensive line because of the NCAA penalties.
  16. Yes. This. Absolutely. Cook is the reason we should NOT trade future assets for a quarterback in THIS offseason. Then do what it takes to go get him in April 2016.
  17. With the quality of the 2016 QB draft class (Connor Cook, Dak Prescott, Kevin Hogan, Christian Hackenberg), the Bills would be stupid to give away the farm for another also-ran QB in this off-season). I swear the sometimes the average fan knows more about college football than the Bills' front office does. What does their scouting department do on Saturdays?
  18. San Francisco. Columbus Day weekend.
  19. Ok, we can't just run the ball three times and punt. We need a DRIVE.
  20. Can anyone explain why when there were offsetting personal fouls after the play in the first half, we had to replay the third down, but on this one the down counts?
  21. I am going with a friend that lives in Manhattan. He assures me there is bus transportation from Port Authority to all Meadowlands events. So anyone can get out there from midtown that way.
  22. so NOT the one near VCU, right? It's the one on the south side instead?
