  1. This morning my wife equated my endless journey to nowhere as a Bills fan to my endless voyage to nowhere professionally
  2. This raises the inevitable question that haunts every Bills season -- at what point does our focus shift from a winning season to our position in next year's draft? I say the over/under is next week.
  3. Fun list, though I agree Cribbs deserves better -- Ralph is cheap. Tom Modrak Walt Patulski Phil Dokes And my fav, Mcargo!
  4. You have a point there, I do remember Mayock being the only draft expert who predicated the Whitner pick, as well. You make a great point -- it brought me even further back to Pat Williams and Winfield. You can also make the point that cheaping out on Hangartner has had a major impact on our ability to stay competitive down the stretch this year.
  5. Ralph has had a handful of great years as an owner which have been overwhelmed by the number of bad, small ball low dollar years, but the one thing that remains true is he never relocated the team. It's a money maker, despite all the small market whining, so why should he? I don't know about the rest of you, but I think were gonna end up missing him when the team gets sold. Kelly's alleged partner sounds really creepy, highest birders can snatch the team away, I really want to be wrong but I got a baaaad feeling.
  6. Still worth noting that Mike Mayock -- arguably the most qualified analyst on player evaluation -- seemed to go out of his way to call out Whitner's bad play on two distinct occasions
  7. No pass rush for a decade, no run defense for a decade. So far the Nix drafts have done nothing to improve either area, although it looks like Dareus will be a part of fixing the run D eventually. If the Bills don't draft a DE next year, we will be looking at the same problem.
  8. I used to follow everything in sports, almost out of a sense of obligation. I'm older now, and just like I will give a book 30 pages to win me or I toss it aside, I only follow the Sabres and Bills. Haven't watched hoops in years, watched this year's World Series because it was on during a family reunion. Lots of fun, but a regular season baseball game? Not in years.
  9. Regarding Spiiler and touches, it's weird because I loathed Aaron Maybin, he could never get snaps here, and now Rex Ryan has found a way to utilize him on a team that already knew how to get to the quarterback. Spiller is getting a milder version of the same treatment, are we missing something here again? Regardless, with Wood out next week along with the left tackle situation, this could get fugly.
  10. 5) This should have been thought #1. We have NO pass rush. News Flash: Romo and Sanchez are so-so qbs at best. Neither is as good as Fitz. They really are not, but 2 weeks in a row these guys were laughing on the sidelines. There is absolutely NO pressure at all. Yeah, we made a couple of flaky QB's look like HOF'rs. I love Dareus, but there's a part of me that wishes Von Miller had slid to us. Romo's 23/26 passing the best day ever against the Bills. 88.4%. -- Even when we were winning, I didn't see this as a playoff defense. Now I think our D is a complete liability.
  11. Ralph's too cheap to pay off his contract
  12. So you're telling me i won't hear them called "the Beeyools" this weekend?
  13. We need to get healthy, which is slowly starting to happen. The way they plugged the hole at LT has been impressive -- I thought that was going to be turn style-city. Big test this Sunday with Ware.
  14. You could make a case that drafting a guy with Whitner's talent #8 overall is the biggest proof of all the Bills weren't dedicated to winning. And jumping back into the first round to take McCargo pretty much proves it.
  15. I think Chandler needs to be a factor, but this is the perfect game for Spiller to make his mark, even if it's just as a receiver. I saw the potential for some big RAC yards against the Redskins. Make him the check down.
  16. Personally, 8 pages of rampant speculation based on a teen's tweet is exactly WHY I love two bills drive
  17. That is correct, sir Maybe the Redskins get Luck, but I just think we're going to be just mediocre enough to miss out
  18. 1) The Bills win six games 2) They watch the 4-12 Titans draft Andrew Luck 3) They finally draft a viable tackle
  19. The first thing I pictured in my mind when they picked Dareus to join Williams was a pass rush up the middle to finally fluster Brady. That would be so sweet... almost as sweet as stopping the run for the first time this century.
