  1. The Sweet Smell of Success: "The cat's in the bag, the bag's in the river..."
  2. Bill Simmons is c*** and has always had a hard on for Buffalo
  3. Agreed, and with the rookie salary cap they aren't the same risk financially
  4. I can't imagine bailing now, when we are so close to the ultimate event horizon as Bills fans. Ralph is ancient, he is going to be gone soon, then we will either lose the team via relocation or, for the first time ever, experience the Bills under new ownership. The days are growing short, the team is at least mildly amusing to watch compared to the Jauron era, how could you pull the plug when armageddon is close at hand?
  5. This George Gillett that Kelly has allegedly been linked to looks like a carpetbagger nightmare. I have given up on Ralph for a while now, but the devil you know factor could be a real factor here.
  6. Is Buddy under contract for next season? Then you have your answer. Ralph would rather move to Buffalo than eat a contract.
  7. in my line of work a new regime never wastes a second in cleaning house and trashing any thing or anyone the old regime left behind. You can't make your name on someone else's leftovers. It's a crap approach, but one that opportunists have been using for a long time. I was a full on Maybin hater, but this just does not look good for a team that can't sack the quarterback.
  8. Totally agree -- we got teased by the fast start this year and expectations got out of whack. But for the first time in a long while, i think we are building a winner. Gotta step up with the top draft picks, get two pass rushers, things get interesting and not an illusion.
  9. There you go. Next year, teams allegedly have to spend close to the cap, can't wait to see how Ralph finds a way to wiggle out of that one. He and Mike Brown are probably hashing that out in an underground bunker as we speak.
  10. I thought they were going to suck this year. Despite this losing skid, they are much better than my expectations. However, even while we were winning this was not a playoff caliber defense. If we snagged a wild card it would have been followed by a blow out. This year sets up next year because it has isolated where we need to improve so clearly -- and it's the usual suspects. The offense is working, will get better, but the lack of pass rush and run defense are the killers, as was the loss of Kyle Williams. If we can actually draft well and maybe lure the right free agents here, this is a playoff team next season. BIG if's, since we have failed to get either of those issues together for a long time, but I have a shred of hope left.
  11. We need defensive help priority #1 -- pass rush, run stoppers. Chris Johnson averaged 12 YPC in the first half.
  12. Maybe you're right, I just don't remember him putting together an entire game like he did last night.
  13. Lynch is a slug finally delivering in a contract year. He never ran in Buffalo like he ran last night. Never. And his mother cheats at Bingo!
  14. I can't remember how long Gailey's contract is for, but you know Ralph isn't buying him out. I would like to see him coach a team with a better than laughable defense.
  15. It was going to be a surprise! Oh well, I'll get you liquored up and we can go from there.
  16. Well so much for my plan to take my robot lover to her first Bills game
  17. How anyone who roots for a Ralph Wilson owned team can write this is beyond comprehension. The Jacksonville fan base is about to experience the out of town owner experience. All they have to do to break the lease and move is three $ losing seasons. Year from now cheap teams have to spend right up to the salary cap. Mission accomplished
  18. At the very least, Ralph could reward all of us with a succession plan. I'd settle for that, instead of this seemingly petulant, childish cloak of mystery. At his age, he has probably reverted to an emotional five year old.
  19. Del Rio is completely burned out. Lots of Jax newspaper articles about him putting in bankers hours this season, throwing his offensive coordinator under the bus repeatedly. I agree with the groundswell for promoting the Stache -- at one point at least, he was a world class D-coordinator.
  20. My instincts say under, logic says over thanks to more opportunities to break some long ones.
  21. I live out of the area and I think the team will be playoff-caliber next year PROVIDED they find some talent that can pressure the QB
