  1. Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. born and raised in rochester, new york. go bills!
  2. You know they are making a new one right? Also, that they originally used Chinese soldiers but then had to change them to North Korean? Also, it will be awesome!!!!!!!! http://www.reddawnmovienews.com/
  3. Best story ever. I hope Wood always stays with the Bills and crushes all enemies with his giant head and neck.
  4. Haven't we all been expecting McKelvin to play well? Haven't we all been expecting McKelvin to play well since his rookie year? I am not convinced that he will be any better this year than last when he was regularly toasted. In the Raiders game he was beaten consistently by a rookie 5th rounder and Jason Campbell. I do not think he turns it around this year any more than he did last year or the year before that.
  5. in that, Brooks could have been starter but his grades kept him off the field. This is because the LSU coach has a provision in his contract that gives him more money if his starters have better grades. That is what I took from the post "It's like what Lenin said, man." "I am the Walrus." "If you look for the person who will benefit, then . . ." "I am the Walrus." "Shut the F*** up Donny! V. I. Lenin! Vladimir Illyanich Ulionov!
  6. As to LT needing to be an athlete: the Bills coaching staff described a pass blocking LT as one who has a wide range on a play. That either means they have good foot work to create the arc that prevents speed rushers from taking shorter angles to the QB or they have longer arms that accomplish much the same object. This is important because most Qb's are right handed and they tend to keep their eyes on the right side of the field. Therefore, they are less likely to see rushers coming from their left, hence the left side is referred to as the "blind side." This means that a team looking to be successful passing must be able to protect the Qb from pressure coming from the left side and raises the importance of pass blocking for LT's rather then RT's. The RT is often seen as needing less foot speed or able to succeed with shorter arms because the Qb will be able to see the pressure from that side and get rid of the ball quickly. Miami might be trying to get ahead of the curve in the new passing NFL if they do use Martin and Long at RT and LT respectively, in that both tackles are capable pass blockers. But some draft dorks have been questioning Martin for the role as RT as he is seen as two weak and too small to be the prototypical big body on the right. he might grow, which seems likely or the Dolphins will have begun a new league standard of having two capable pass blockers on the field at both Tackle spots.
  7. Says they got Upshaw to replace Jarret Johnson. Lost both starting olb's from last year; that is rough. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7885596/terrell-suggs-baltimore-ravens-tears-achilles-sources-say
  8. Throwing it out their for post draft prognostications on the record vs the AFCE. Wild prognostications commence! I call a split with New England two wins against the Jets and a split with Miami. Are we good enough to accomplish even this?!? Do you think the Bills will be undefeated in the division!?! Or, will the 2013 season bring a new coach to Buffalo and the long road of rebuilding begun anew??!?
  9. That is exactly what happened to the Brooklyn Dodgers. Won the World Series and left the next year cross country.
  10. If he can kick it out the back of the end zone on kickoffs I will love this seventh round pick.
  11. If you attach to a team as a kid it is fine wherever you live. I started watching the Minnesota Twins after the 1991 World Series. my close friend chose to support the Saints back when he was a kid during the stretch of terrible Saints teams. Now he gets to rag on bandwagon fans. You can live in NYC and support the Patriots or the Red Sox, live in San Francisco and support the Dodgers; these are fine choices. If you switch teams as an adult then it gets more tricky.
  12. Thank you! When Miami takes your team apart, twice! Then I know that defense is absolutely pivotal to improving this teams performance. An improved defense will be the difference between last year and this coming season. I don't want to be swept by Sanchez and Moore again and we shouldn't be! That was some bullSchmidt! Sorry, I know this thread is about Easely but I got side tracked. I am puling for him as a player and a human being to get healthy and get on the field. Either way, the offense didn't bury this team last year it was the awful defensive play.
  13. Using the pick on an offensive player. I was sure we would go wide out and get whoever was best at the position. I have come to the conclusion that the pick should be on defense.
  14. 1: Ryan Tannehill QB to the Dolphins 2: Michael Floyd WR to the Seahawks 3: Courtney Upshaw OLB to the Jets 4: David DeCastro G to the Bengals 5: Luke Kuechly LB to the Bills Tremble before my perfect list of complete guesses!
  15. I think we got a solid foundation drafting Losman . . . er, I mean Tannehill at ten. And then trading back up into the first to snag Evans. . . uh, I mean Wright. With these two Bills Dynasty is around the corner as soon as Bledsoe . . . I mean Fitzpatrick goes down!
  16. Chris Brown mocks Barron to the Bills http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Chris-Browns-2012-Mock-Draft/6340ae74-bb8c-464d-bae1-e99cbdb87aab

  18. With the Bills spending draft picks and big free agency money on the defense I think they are going to continue to try and build a credible defensive unit. While they could pursue this through the later rounds, 2-4, I believe they will continue to shore up one of the worst defenses in the league. While the offense has been below average, especially in games against tougher defenses, the defense absolutely buried this team last year. We fired George Edwards and kept the Offensive coaches, I believe this is a vote of confidence in the offense. The Bills' spread Offense seems to be more reliant on the run than the pass and drafting a future QB would run opposite to this trend. Freddie and CJ drive the Offense, make it work, Fitz is an ok point guard, who is adept at handing the ball off. Tannehill, with a strong arm but little experience, would be valuable a few years from now if he pans out but the Bills would have to then work to equip him with better receivers and tight ends. I still believe defense is the pick this year and Tannehill is just a wild card thrown out there to generate interest in trading with the Bills to beat out the Chiefs.
  19. Put any trepidation on this matter to bed. http://www.couriernews.com/view/full_story/18335065/article-Hogs-hire-John-L--Smith-on-interim-basis
  20. Funny, I just wrote a long post on BPA versus Fill-a-Need strategies in the Draft. I think BPA is the way to go and if we get Barron I would not be dissapointed. I a sick of watching Gronk dominate us twice a year.
  21. As we head into the 2012 Draft Thursday I wanted to start a conversation about BPA strategy and this community's thoughts on it. Winning teams, some argue, are built entirely through the draft by taking the Best Player Available in the team's slot. This drafting philosophy is opposed by that of the fit-based pick, taking a player who fills an immediate need on the team. In 2009 many were as disappointed and shocked as I was when the pick came in at number 9 for CJ Spiller, the electrifying Running Back. The Bill's at the time had recently released a former Second Rounder in Travis Henry, then they released Willis McGahee a former late First Round Pick only to select Marshawn Lynch the following Draft in the First Round. When the Spiller pick came down Marshawn had been having troubles on the field but the emergence of Fred Jackson was just beginning as he lead the league in total yards the year before the Spiller pick as I recall. Please excuse me if my dates are slightly off and time dilates and contracts throughout the argument. This was the situation at Running Back before the 2009 Draft. Afterwards, we watched CJ struggle through his first year and he never played up to his potential. The results of this past season seems to have confirmed the wisdom of the Spiller pick as we maintained a strong running game into December with CJ as lead back. This has lead to some discussion on the Boards here as to whether the Spiller pick was justified and I believe a consensus has formed around the performance of CJ that it was in fact a good choice to take him 9 overall in 2009 even though he did not fill an immediate need, to my understanding. This Draft offers a similar situation, there are needs on this team that should be addressed but it seems unlikely that the player chosen at ten to fill one of these needs will be the Best Player Available. If a consensus has formed on the wisdom of the CJ pick will the members of this board support a pick that fits the BPA category, or will we be up in arms about the lack of a clear need position taken in the First Round? I, for one support the BPA available strategy even if this means ignoring one of the needs on the Offense or Defense. Was CJ a good pick even though we could have kept Marshawn? Is BPA the best strategy when working the Draft? And, is this a unique year where no true talent emerges to make a claim to BPA at ten and we will fill a need out of a pool of the best players available?
  22. Easily the Jets. I can respect the Patriots for being so unearthly in their excellence but the Jets Stink. The Jets have always stunk and yeah, I remember when they went to those AFC Championships but I still think they stink. Jets fans are, without a doubt, the worst. How familiar are you with the internet, sir? You should know that the ratio of silly garbage far, far outweighs any content of public significance.
  23. I also hope to make it out to see Mr. Wilson this Tuesday.
