  1. Once again, the NFC representative in the Super Bowl is a team that beat the Buffalo Bills during the regular season. I don't know the odds of this happening, but seven years in a row seems kind of ridiculous. 2006: October 8, 2006 at Chicago Bears L 40–7 2007: December 23, 2007 New York Giants 1 PM EST Ralph Wilson Stadium Fox L 38–21 2008: Sunday October 5 4:15 PM CBS at Arizona Cardinals L 41–17 4–1 2009: September 27 4:05pm EDT Fox New Orleans Saints L 27–7 2010: September 19 1:00 p.m. at Green Bay Packers L 7–34 2011: October 16 1:00 p.m. at New York Giants L 24–27 2012: October 7 4:25 p.m. at San Francisco 49ers L 3–45
  2. 785 Thanks for taking the time to do this
  3. I wonder if that is John Candy's daughter in the sketch with him? Last i heard she was working with the Second City in Chicago.
  4. 11/18/2007 SNF vs. NE: L 56-10 oh god that was a heartbreaker. we got flexed in because we were playing strong and then shat the bed. i'll never forget john madden's bewildered comments about the depths of football terribleness in buffalo that night. and by bewildered i don't mean the standard john madden was constantly pulling a reagan, i mean that he was completely nonplussed by the bills' awful play.
  5. Again, we want to dump our coach again? I mean these guys (we've had for the last decade) haven't been great for the bills but the bills have also been shittily stocked with talent the whole time. If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, which is more crazy: changing the HC every three years or sticking with a guy who has a losing record? Personally, I say stick with chan. I hoped for a big year from this team and didn't get it but the offense is still a top 15 offense. The perennially terrible offenses of the 2000's were much, much worse. We still need another receiver or one of these scrubs needs to step up in a big way. either way, no change. stop the revolving door!
  6. Couple of Bills on the team: http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/41846/179/nfl-midseason-all-pro-team?pg=2 Jairus Byrd Leodis McKelvin
  7. An article in the Atlantic about how to analyze a QB's success. If anyone wants to crunch the numbers on Fitzpatrick I would be curious to see how he did by this scale. http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2012/10/finally-an-effective-way-to-rank-nfl-quarterbacks/264154/
  8. What a great human being George Wilson is. A toast! A toast to the Senator! Lift your coffee or early morning drinks of an alcoholic nature and drink deep to honor the kindness of George Wilson.
  9. Anyway, NFL.com writers beat us to it. "The Golden Rule" is the official nickname and it is pretty good. What do you say TBDers? Can you beat the NFL's best writers at 2 am?
  10. That isn't exactly catchy
  11. I suffer hearing about the "Music City Miracle" all the damn time. Anyone want to come up with a catchy nickname to make this game more relevant and hopefully blot out the Miracle? Seattle Zebra Attack Tate's, Golden Shover Simultaneous Disaster The Gouging of Green Bay
  12. Check out the rankings for the Bills' O-Line at FootballOutsiders.com: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol First in pass defense as of last week. Also, the Bills are far and away the best blocking team at the second level according to their analysis.

  14. This is the second worse opening day since that New England game for me. Someone else posted in anohter thread how it just ended their day. they left the house and and just tried to forget feetball. I did the same. I went to get my passport at the library. Waiting in line for two hours in the library to have my papers processed. That was much better than the Bills game. Anyway, sorry to hijack and B word.
  15. Very nice thread. You keep posting them and I'll keep reading them.
  16. Defer. Deflate. Dominate.
  17. Wonderful article for tempering my enthusiasm.
  18. A quick tip. If you really want to see a D&C article or any paper's site and you have used up all the free articles, go to google news and search the article's title. For some reason, when you get a link through google news it won't stop you from reading the article. I use it all the time to read stuff on the New York times and it seems to work for the D&C as well.
  19. Unless it is nationally televised the game will be done by the local team's media crew. that is what I have been seeing in checking out other games with preseason live. Also: Rochester > Buffalo. Mainly because our city don't stink like a General Mills cereal.
  20. Just signed up for preseason live and used this code: directv And I got a 15% discount. Sorry if this shoud have been posted in another thread. Go Bills! Watching the game now. Can't wait to see the BIlls in action.
  21. That was not the worst thing posted here by any measure. Take it easy, it was just a preseason game. The Bills offense did struggle. Bad penalties. The defense gave up a long touchdown drive. There were positives too. Vince Young can do it with his feet. Nice to see Graham get a lot of time on the field. According to Chris Brown Marcel and Kyle looked great in the first half. Try and temper all the angst. Realistically, the Bills need to improve on this performance going forward. Also, check out Trent Edwards for the Eagles. He looks huge in the neck area. Dude put on some weight but he still lofted a ball on an out route that should have been picked. Master of checkdowns looks like he went with the HGH over the past season.
  22. I wonder if that is why Jim Kelly and Andre Reed were at Bills training Camp today? Maybe they will be involved in some way with Schumer's announcement?
  23. Hey, Kelvin Sheppard isn't some food crazed freak! He is a sweet man. (Sheppard drives by in ice cream truck) Oh that's Raspberry!
