  1. Because I think a lot of teams have adobted the philosophy of not running the ball out of the endzone. I agree with Gailey that the risk is much greater than the reward. He's probably got the stats to prove it. You don't think I should put stock in a stat like; 104 yards and a 3.6 yd average on punt returns? We're last in the league per return, our average is half that of the 2nd worst team.
  2. Average? There's been nothing average about being the NFL's last in return yards. By design we don't return kickoff's from inside the end zone, I agree with that. But Spiller has been awful, and I'm a Spiller apologist. His first move after making the catch is to either side and it needs to be forward. He's running to either side and trying to get to an edge. Everyone that knows anything about returning in the NFL knows that a quick cut to allude the initial rush and going forward is the only way to successfully return punts in the NFL. It's also the most dangerous to your body. So he's either not being coached properly, he's a bit skittish (scared), or the Bills brass are ok with him just not fumbling and staying healthy.
  3. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  4. The only issue I would have is if they had the Patriots ahead of us on a standings chart. They don't, so technically they have it right. In saying that, I don't have any issue with the general statement that we are tied with them.
  5. Who have we drafted only for the 3-4? And who do you think couldn't play in a 4-3? We run a hybrid and are predominantly in a 4-3 now.
  6. First thank you for acknowledging I'm an expert at player evaluation. I don't think we should be drooling over players like Leigh Bodden, in fact I wouldn't sign him even after he clears waivers. My only argument is that he is better than McKelvin and certainly Corner. McKelvin's performance against Oakland was one of the worst I've seen in recent years. He looked dishevelled against a rookie WR. At least Bodden has had success and some semblence of an NFL career. He got cut from Detroit because he criticized the organization after the 0-16 season, they brought in a new GM, and was due $8.6 mil for being on the roster. For you to say he's worse than McKelvin is lazy and baseless. Saying "Mckelvin has been decent" is ludicrous, he has struggled mightily all year. You weaken your argument even more when you think the 30th ranked passing defense has the right to not look at any CB. So to answer your question, yes Bodden has been a better player and is. All I can say is thank God Mcgee is back. I thought he looked outstanding in his return last game. And put McKelvin in his rightly place as the Nickel Back.
  7. "Yes, McKelvin is better than Bodden." You're embarrassing yourself junior. "You would've been better off just saying "your momma". Why would that have been better? How do I know if your mom passed or something terrible had or has a happened to her? Then after an anemic diatribe about my level of education you contradict yourself by attempting to coach me into following your pubescence. You're a sheep young man.
  8. You think Mckelvin is better than Bodden and you think I have an issue with drugs? Your football acumen and handicapped attempt at making fun of me are less than useless.
  9. To say he's not an upgrade over Mckelvin is laughable. Mckelvin is so bad he's a slight upgrade over Corner.
  10. I don't think we should be overzealous buffoon's about our team. But I don't see a thing wrong with Bills fans saying "We're 4-2, we think we're good, and we're not ashamed or afraid to say it. I guess you are just one of those fans that want us to shut up just in case we go 2-4 over the next 6 games in fear of other fans thinkin we're all idiots. I say piss off. We're good, we're going to get better, we're not the team to overlook in your schedule anymore. If you don't think we as fans have earned being proud of our team thus far, then you shut up and stop making us look bad.
  11. I can't stand when people don't read the thread and then post the same exact thing as someone else.
  12. It's just been reported Brandon Marshall is going to try to get kicked out of the game after the first offensive series.
  13. He seems like a nice guy. I wish people would let the legal process take it's course before prematurely judging someone. I bet she was talking all nice to that old boyfriend and deserved the beating she got. I agree with Chris here, there's obviously another side to this story that will explain everything.
  14. Why would this posters sexual preference need to be brought up?
  15. I don't get this. Fred is signed for the next two years and is just complaining about his contract. So you're skeptical about signing Fitz in fear of losing Johnson? First things first my friend.
  16. Being burned by "early-season success" once since 1996 is hardly an excuse to not lock up Fitz.
  17. I disagree with almost all of you. Especially those that think teams are scheming for Scott Chandler. No disrespect to Chandler but that's laughable. I think it's much more of a simple answer. We have a lot of options in the passing game, and a coach that has interchangable parts coming in and out of the game, guys are moving around, etc. A guy or two will become as the poster would say invisible, but then in another game will have a breakout day. I think Chandler will have a big game and we'll see a guy like Nelson's numbers go down. If any of you play fantasy you'll know what I mean. Just take the Patriots, the Saints, and the Colts (when Manning was playing) for example. Besides their obvious number one targets it's nearly impossible to start any other receiver on those teams, because they just spread the ball around too much. They have so many weapons and a coach that has so many different sets. I think that's the simple answer to Chandler's lack of involvement. Spiller got involved in the passing game Sunday, next week it will be someone else. I think this is a testiment to the talent on our team and our coach that is utilizing everyone. I think it's obvious teams would struggle to gameplan against us in regards to shutting down one specific target. I think teams try to shut down Stevie Johnson, but beyond him, where would they start?
  18. With all due respect "you win and lose as a team" is oversimplifying. Fitz took a crucial sack with penty of time to get the ball out of his hands that took us out of field goal range. The two interceptions where poorly under thrown balls, and basically the same patern and the same mistake. The o line controlled the line of scrimmage for him almost all day and on those 3 particular plays it was all Fitz. They were subsequently the reason we lost. I really like Fitz so I'm not bashing on him. But I bet he'd take responsibility for this loss. As he should. I could see if they were tipped balls or if he was under extreme pressure, but that's not the case, he just didn't get it done and it cost us the game. Florence didn't play well but Fitz had the game in his hands to win.
  19. Nothing. Fitz lost this game on his own. I had a bad feeling we were going to lose by a field goal when Fitz took the sack knocking us out of field goal range. So disappointing, this is how our QB's of old acted.
  20. I think I found it ............ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk-gaGbMCpA
  21. Don't forget their back up DT Jimmy Kennedy is out. Got suspended for 4 games this week. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/2011/10/11/2011-10-11_jimmy_kennedy_ny_giants_defensive_tackle_suspended_4_games_by_nfl_for_violating_.html
  22. There isn't one successful GM that doesn't value draft picks.
  23. I'd be remissed if I didn't mention that Kelsay is playing some damn good football.
  24. What makes you think we would have him for the next 3 years?
