  1. I'm not an expert and only have basic understandings of defenses from reading. Are you saying there is absolutely no reason to be concerned about your NT situation when switching from a 4-3 to 3-4 because you just change gap schemes?
  2. I live in Charlotte but don't know Gamble's game per say, but he gets killed around here. Even the fans bash the guy constantly. The sports radio show will be rejoicing Monday. Like I said I don't know how he plays, but there hasn't been a more maligned player in years here.
  3. I don't think either one will be there at 8.
  4. Over my head? You don't even know i before e except after c.
  5. No, the poster said all QB's are equally bad.
  6. This is the weak argument I'm speaking of. "Brazen, punishing, passrush with the 8th pick? Then "fire sale"? Relax and watch? C'mon man. What if the team you say to "fire sale" to needs a QB?
  7. I can't believe we passed on Ben, oh wait we didn't.
  8. Why do people say "go after a QB next year"? It's the most aggravating comment to read. As if it's just some automatic thing. What if you're pick 11 next year? They say it as if there's no other factors, just choose to get one next year, that's it.
  9. Gap nothing, wait till you see what he costs.
  10. The 49ers were singing Hallelujah when Smith got hurt. They had their opening to make the change and did. Still got beat up a little over it but clearly they didn't make that decision based on a game or two with Colin. They had to have been thinking about that for a while. Look at Smith's numbers compared to Fitz's, the only thing he has over him is interceptions. If you don't like Fitz you would have disdain for Smith.
  11. Keller is a very good tight end and it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to have him. But I'd like to see Buffalo take a run at Jared Cook, who I think has much more to show in the receiving department.
  12. I'd like to hear their definition of "catchable" before taking this too seriously.
  13. I'm not so sure Fitz is important to the locker room mostly (as Hopeful mentioned), due to the losing. I think we have a locker room of guys that aren't the type (s) to turn on their teammates. It's locker room ready with quality guys for a QB to flourish in. I don't however believe that's a result of Fitz being the calming force. I think their most likely like us thinking he's an easy guy to get behind but just isn't good enough. I'm going to have to challenge you on the second part also. I don't see Fitz as someone you would want to groom. No doubt he's smart and by all accounts seems to work hard, but with his limited ability has also been limited play calling. I'd say Gailey had to weaken his offense due to Fitz's lack of physical skills. So how much he actually knows about the game could be parallel.
  14. Interesting. To be honest I never heard about this being measured until your post.
  15. Since I love it when guys do this, I'm going to in a different vain. What would it hurt to bring him in?
  16. I actually think he would have sounded more like a moron if he would have said "The playoffs aren't good enough and I'm not looking to just be relevant and have winning records, we want championships".
  17. Really we're no different than any other team in respect to holes. Of course we are different than the teams that have their QB, but I'm talking about just holes to fill. I'm talking to my neighbor yesterday in the driveway who's a Steelers fan. He's like "we need a corner, 2 WR's, a Linebacker (2 if they can't sign Foote), Harrison's probably gone, Woodley's not living up to his contract. Troy and Keisel are old and not the players they were, and we need a RB. Oh and we're like 54 million over the cap." I was like damn you just don't think about the Steelers like that. Radio here in Charlotte this morning. The Panthers are absolutely desperate for 1 WR if not 2. Just as desperate for a D tackle and linebackers. They need a TE, DE, LT, Guard, etc. You get my point. The issue is when you're hopefuls don't become answers it leaves not only feeling this way, but it's the reality. For example last year. In our minds we counted on Sheppard, but when he doesn't become an answer it's a problem. I'm not a Nix basher by any means, this is just what these young draft picks will do to you.
  18. I could never hate the guy despite how the team tried to get me to with that crazy contract.
  19. Thank you for posting this, it's exactly the way I've felt for a long time.
