  1. But how would these players from smaller universities get invited to play in the minor league - versus the kid from Alabama that didn't get drafted?
  2. I'd argue upper body and arm workouts would diminish arm strength. I think you can improve arm strength a little but not significantly. It's kind of one of those things that you just naturally have by all the things other posters above have mentioned coming together. Hate to sound cliche but to have a strong arm ready for the NFL is a gift.
  3. He's a great college QB, but imo opinion his game won't work in the pros. At 6'1" and 200 lbs he is going to be susceptible to getting hurt real bad. I think at best he could have a Jake Plummer type career, but I don't think he'll even get there.
  4. Do scouts ever use stats or should you ever use stats without scouting?
  5. You see the future huh? So let's just spend every dime we have in free agency because YOU don't like who's coming out in the draft. Guess what cheese ball picking eight you'd be picking from the same crop of QB's anyway. Oh but you're probably so smart you know the second tier of QB's will be better next year.
  6. Every single NFL team has holes and non of them have adequete depth. It's a ruse and a farce to believe that. The salary cap doesn't allow for depth. Why the hell does it have to be said over and over again? The common denominator to win is having the QB position resolved. This team has enough talent to win right now with a good QB and could win a superbowl with a great one. Everything you do in FA or the draft becomes relevant when you have a QB, without one nothing is. I don't give a damn how good your O line and D line and Safety, and CB depth is, if you don't have a QB you have nothing. Everything and I mean everything teams like Miami did will go for naught if Tannehill doesn't become a top 10 QB. Nix has done a good job, but he hasn't found a QB. But to complain about depth is so ridiculous I can't stand it anymore. Be "active in free agency"? for what? They went all in last year because they thought Fitz had a chance to lead us, he didn't. Blame that on Nix, but not a lot else. Good god.
  7. I feel bad too, so I'll reply to your reply.
  8. Word is he was a locker room problem. But I've seen him play and he gets open. I think he's got a real good skill set that could definetely help our team.
  9. You don't upgrade it when other areas aren't broken their shattered.
  10. Why do you say Manuel has IT? I haven't heard a lot out of him so I'm curious.
  11. We lose a guard and our fan base goes nuts. See what happens when you have a great QB, it doesn't matter who leaves.

  13. I wouldn't say it's worse, same old dribble. Understandable though, a team without a QB that gives you hope is a terrible thing.
  14. Oh damn, good work. I did take you seriously. The yoke's on me.
  15. I'm not trying to piss you off but Levitre wasn't our best player. If you truly believe that than we have worse problems than you mention. Not to disrespect the importance of the o-line but if I had my druthers and had to let a very good player walk in free agency, I'd hope it's a guard every single time. I'd also disagree that it's the "worst QB draft ever". Granted there's not a blue chip(s) QB, but picking 8 with 4-6 teams potentially needing a QB ahead of us you're picking from the same crop anyway. I'd be more pissed if there was a couple obvious stars knowing there's no chance we'd get one at 8, or if we had pick 1 or 2 in this years draft. Look we one 6 games man, we're picking 8th, it's not anyone's fault, they just have to find a diamond. It's a difficult thing finding a QB, i'm frustrated too.
  16. You're exactly right. What we do outside of the QB position becomes futile unless we end up with one. Just speaking in regard to other positions the salary cap naturally creates holes for teams. We are no different than any other team and have to make decisions on filling needs. I also believe outside of the QB position we are just as talented as many of the playoff teams.
  17. First you're calling them smokescreens - then say our chances look bleak. I'm not sure I get what you're saying we have to do?
  18. Not bad at first, then it went on too long.
  19. I agree too. We still have a ton of talent on this team. I remember a time when we were completely and I mean completely void of top end talent. That simply is not the case now. Every single team has needs we are no different. If we solve our QB dilemma (not saying that's easy), this team can win. I have a ton of confidence that Pettine will fix the defense. Maybe not in year one, but I think more reasonably by year two. I think Marrone's experience in the college game should give him a unique perspective in aiding the FO in chosing a QB. I'm excited to see who they pick and support the hell out the decision.
  20. Neither does Mike Glennon.
  21. Marrone does have a plan and it's simple. Get a viable DC so he can concentrate on the offense and most importantly identifying a QB he wants/can work with from the draft. We will see if the plan works.
  22. I really learned a lot. For those glancing at this thread take 15 minutes and read this article.
  23. I'll trade a Wallace to Miami for Welker leaving NE anyday. Net good for the Bills.
