  1. "Hello I start threads and have no idea what I'm talking about" - jahnyc
  2. I wouldn't say it's worse, same old dribble. Understandable though, a team without a QB that gives you hope is a terrible thing.
  3. Oh damn, good work. I did take you seriously. The yoke's on me.
  4. I'm not trying to piss you off but Levitre wasn't our best player. If you truly believe that than we have worse problems than you mention. Not to disrespect the importance of the o-line but if I had my druthers and had to let a very good player walk in free agency, I'd hope it's a guard every single time. I'd also disagree that it's the "worst QB draft ever". Granted there's not a blue chip(s) QB, but picking 8 with 4-6 teams potentially needing a QB ahead of us you're picking from the same crop anyway. I'd be more pissed if there was a couple obvious stars knowing there's no chance we'd get one at 8, or if we had pick 1 or 2 in this years draft. Look we one 6 games man, we're picking 8th, it's not anyone's fault, they just have to find a diamond. It's a difficult thing finding a QB, i'm frustrated too.
  5. You're exactly right. What we do outside of the QB position becomes futile unless we end up with one. Just speaking in regard to other positions the salary cap naturally creates holes for teams. We are no different than any other team and have to make decisions on filling needs. I also believe outside of the QB position we are just as talented as many of the playoff teams.
  6. First you're calling them smokescreens - then say our chances look bleak. I'm not sure I get what you're saying we have to do?
  7. Not bad at first, then it went on too long.
  8. I agree too. We still have a ton of talent on this team. I remember a time when we were completely and I mean completely void of top end talent. That simply is not the case now. Every single team has needs we are no different. If we solve our QB dilemma (not saying that's easy), this team can win. I have a ton of confidence that Pettine will fix the defense. Maybe not in year one, but I think more reasonably by year two. I think Marrone's experience in the college game should give him a unique perspective in aiding the FO in chosing a QB. I'm excited to see who they pick and support the hell out the decision.
  9. Neither does Mike Glennon.
  10. Marrone does have a plan and it's simple. Get a viable DC so he can concentrate on the offense and most importantly identifying a QB he wants/can work with from the draft. We will see if the plan works.
  11. I really learned a lot. For those glancing at this thread take 15 minutes and read this article.
  12. I'll trade a Wallace to Miami for Welker leaving NE anyday. Net good for the Bills.
  13. This doesn't make any sense as an example.
  14. I don't think he said "to hell with Levitre", more that we just are not in the position to spend that much on a guard. We just can't afford to do that.
  15. Miami traded Marshall so they now had to pay Wallace an ungodly amount of money. They broke the bank for Dansby exatly 3 years ago now sign Ellerbe to huge money. Yeah they definitely have their house in order.
  16. I'd say that's a positive.
  17. Just give it some time man. They are going to sign 4-6 guys in free agency and I think at least two of them we'll all be happy with. Filling out the training camp roster is of very little importance right now. The focus for the FO has to be spending smart money in free agency and spending every moment possible deciding on a QB. Letting Levitre go of course sucks but was probably the prudent decision. We've secured some time to work on Byrd, signed McKelvin, fortunately Kelsay retired, we made some smart non signings in Jones and Nelson (I believe his injury is a real problem), and made some necessary cuts in Barnett and Wilson. New coaching brings in their own type of guys. Lets allow this to play out before we say for sure their not doing the right things.
  18. We absoluely have the money to spend. We don't have a "cap mess", we have the 10th most money to spend in free agency. http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2013/03/bills-rank-about-10th-in-cap-space.html. What are you talking about? We are in good shape and have been in good shape for several years.
  19. This was one of the guys I really hoped we would target. The others are Barwin, Alexander, and now Winfield.
  20. Excellent point. We need to spend smart. It's much harder to do than just have a lot of money and spend like hell.
  21. This free agent class is strong as hell, what are you talking about?
  22. The Bills and 20 other teams aren't doing anything. They must all be asleep.
  23. Barwin, Maualuga
