I hope everyone realizes...
White Linen replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks and you too. Interesting that you bring up Roman which I think is part of the evaluation process. I think the Bills have to make sure that it's not just Roman's system that's making Tyrod successful - and that he's actually developing into an NFL QB. I think the FO has to be conscious that Roman wants to be a head coach and you can't be left with a QB that can't transition to a new OC. Similar to what may have happened to Kaep. There's a lot to think about when determining whether to give out that top 15 QB money. My hunch is the same as yours - that the Bills and certainly Rex (however long he stays) are Tyrod believers and the contract thing is we're going to wait but we think he'll step up. -
I think I'd rather take the away game without Brady and the home field advantage with him.

The part you're missing is that a projection is needed now on what the FO foresees Tyrod doing this year in terms of progression. That decision should dictate whether a QB is taken in round 1 or 2 IMO. They can already reasonably assume he'll get 18-20 mil if he has a similar season or tagged - if he plays better statistically he'll get 20-22 mil. The decision on whether he's worth that should also be considered prior to determining if they take a QB. Once that decision is made and I think it already has - I believe we'll know based on the draft results. It's interesting indeed. -

No kidding they're not drafting in the top 5 - so if that's what you want then enjoy your dream. I was speaking in terms of their situation with Tyrod and having to decide to draft a QB - so in those relative terms they're not in a bad spot. You just said it - if they finish in the 19-20 range they'll be in the same spot next year if they choose to not draft a QB in round 1-2 this year. You really didn't think I meant great spot relative to picking first overall did you? -

The Bills really are in a good spot except for one thing. They have to decide by now or by the draft if they believe Tyrod is a $20 mil QB. If they don't believe it now they will draft a QB in round 1 or 2. That's the tough part. I do not believe they'll choose to wait and see with Taylor and with drafting a 3-6th round QB - even though that definitely could end up happening if they chose the probability of Tyrod as being a $20 million QB - and he doesn't prove that. If they don't draft a QB in round 1 or 2 and Tyrod doesn't jump forward - they'll tag him and do what they didn't want to do this year, next year. If they draft a QB early and Tyrod does jump forward - they simply sign Taylor to a big contract and the young QB will wait. If Tyrod doesn't jump forward and they draft a QB high - then they have the option to turn over the reigns in 2017 or tag Tyrod for one more year for the young QB to get one more year. Those worst case scenarios really aren't bad - so that's why I say we're in really good shape. -
I'd switch Bruce with Kelly for the simple fact that he is the most important player in Bills history.

I think it really boils down how the FO feels about Tyrod. If they reasonably think he can make a big jump forward then you wait on a QB. If they really feel he has a ceiling and he's almost reached it then you have to draft one early. If Tyrod has a similar year to last year - he'll get 18-22 million. If they draft a QB after the 4th round they have to franchise him. The Bills are in a good spot but evaluating each QB as they've done extensively is a great plan. -
Pretty much what I had but I didn't differentiate inside or outside LB so I had LB, DE, WR, DT, OT and Safety/Corner.

This is going to be a fun/wild draft. We have no idea which player or position we'll be drafting. I have it down to 6 possible positions.

Guess who we drafted 5 picks ahead of Tom Brady?

We should have signed Winfield. -
How bad are Bad Boy Browns supposed to be?

Is it a guess when we know who they drafted? -
Yeah and we see how that killed us.

4-19: Doug Whaley On the John Murphy Show

The Bill signed the best guard and tackle in free agency along with some other decent signings - restructured a couple non-cap friendly contracts. They've done a ton in FA? -

Rex to introduce Trump in Buffalo

I'm not a Trump apologist and I've clearly said he's made some off the wall stuff comments. If you think Hillary has less rhetoric then you've only heard what you've listened to. What I'm saying is all politicians are coo coo and liars. You're right Trump makes inflammatory comments and the Clinton's do inflammatory things. They are a corrupt couple and Donald is nuts. For me it's listening to a bunch of people flat out lying to all of us - so my only choice is to judge the amount or the magnitude of the lies. Ah yes, let's keep an open border so that the black people we pretend to care about get hurt the worst. Illegals are spending any hope of spending money on helping our black people / poor / elderly get out of their distress. We'll keep the blacks down and dependent and secure their vote - that's "great again". -

Bernie definitely believes what he's saying but it's a situation where it's not a lie if he believes it. It's like running for 9th grade class president and promising less homework. It's not possible to promise that. -

I know right. They should buy into Hillary really loves black people and that Bernie thinks he can actually tax everyone at 70% to pay for all the free stuff. -
Why we will draft a DB early
White Linen replied to Nostradumbass's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could absolutely see this happening. I think Gilmore is very good but he's going to get paid among the best in the game. -
Yeah I'm not getting this either. It seems he would be a much better asset as a situational pass rusher. Maybe they just don't see him making the team and this is his only shot.

Rex to introduce Trump in Buffalo

You don't think every politician says ridiculous and outrageous things? Seriously? Hillary constantly lies and let 4 Americans get brutally murdered. Cruz says he won't run a campaign of insults right before he insults them. I can't believe how much I pay in taxes and Bernie wants more - his model of taxation isn't possible. The Donald certainly says some wacky things - I think he's fitting in nicely with a bunch of politician scumbags. They all lie to us - isn't that obvious? You hear what you want to hear. -

Exactly. Free speech should be suppressed and politically correctness should reign. -

This is the problem with America today. If people don't agree with us we don't respect them. This is the genesis of hate in our country not the actual differences of opinion.
