I saw DCastro's name called multiple times against the Bengals and you could see that he was pushed so far back towards Big Ben. I don't believe DeCastro is having a good rookie season. Pouncey is a pro-bowl center who provides them stability at the center. Rest of their OL is garbage at this point. The Steelers play in a different zone than the Bills. They can effectively re-load and be back in the playoff hunt as long as they have Big Ben.

We know Chan's a goner. Here's Ralph's list.

Perry Fewell as HC Chan as HC (along with Fitz as his QB)  My personal choice for HC, who will be tough and get the best out of this under-utilized team - Bobby April -
Kyle Shanahan and Geno Smith = The perfect combo
ganesh replied to SBUffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The chance of us getting Geno Smith is pretty slim. Two QB needy teams are ahead of us and with slotted salaries, the Jaguars are not going to let him get past them. And without a sure fire QB, HC candidates like Shanahan and Arians will stay away from Buffalo. THey know that they have no chance to win with Fitz. We are going to be stuck with another run-of-the mill coaches. That is why I would like the Bills to make a play for Bobby April. Not many teams are going to give him a chance. He is a fiery coach who has his unit @ the top in Seattle, Buffalo and Philadelphia. He can go ahead and bring in some up coming QB/WR coach to be the OC. The key will to be able to get a good DC. Are any of the HC that are likely to be fired be a good DC candidate and will run a 4-3. -
The problem is that there are always 4-5 QB hungry teams and will make him a 1st round pick like we did with Losman and the Jaguars did with Gabbert. This will be even more true with the success of the rookie QBs this season

Chandler is solid, but he has been a no-show for most of the 2nd half of the season (Just like last year). And Fitz stops finding him when he needs him.
-
And add the fact that he (with Mike Brown) showed 30 other owners that they were asinine to sign that CBA in 2006 only for them to reject it a few years later. That vision (or stating a simple fact that the owners haven't had a chance to look through the deal) differentiated him from the rest.

Gailey's Stubborness - "Fitz Gives Us Best Chance"
ganesh replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
\ Wrong. Jackson is much better than Thigpen. At the worst case, wouldn't you want Jackson to back up Fitz, in case he is hurt in the game. Chan, Fitz, Thigpen, Jackson all must go this off season -
Bills vets on "CJ gets winded" (from twitter)
ganesh replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan has screwed up in every single QB decision: Trent Edwards Vs Fitzpatrick Thigpen, Vince Young, Jackson. And chose three drafts to not draft a single QB in any round except for the token 7th rounder in year 1. Chan Must Go. I would rather have Munchak if he is fired in Tennessee. -
Mike Wallace is the Lee Evans of the Steelers. He disappears at critical times in the games and is a one-trick pony (a downfield threat). It will be hard for the Bills or any other team to pay him 15M a year.

Make Bobby April as our HC. He can motivate this team into a top team (like he did with his special teams) and he may be available due to the crap in Philadelphia. I don't think this team is close enough as you suggest, they have strong weakness at QB, WR, TE, LB, CB, SS. What is the likelihood of filling all this with the draft and FA. It makes it worse when they have to fill up slots for getting rid of veterans such as Kelsay, Barnett.

Good Coaches adjust after seeing the tape during the game; Unfortunately, our coaches has no such ability. Look at how flat we are after coming back from half time.
-
Romo takes too much crap for that crappy football team. Jones has had as bad drafts as Levy and Nix together and hence the mess in Dallas. At least, there team is playing for a playoff spot on Week 17. Fitz is currently the worst starting QB in the NFL. Stats and TV don't lie.

Now there will be a new thread as to how we missed out on Gronkowski!!!
-
I would rather take the couple of years of successful QBing than the Sh*** that we have right now.
-
The reason the defender made that play was because they must have seen that innumerable times on tape. I have seen Fitz attempt/make that throw so many times that it was only a matter of time before someone jumped on that play. When your team has no #2/#3 WR and your TE is out of the game, where do you think the QB is going to throw.... 2nd round DT, Aaron Williams, TJ Graham, what a waste of 2nd and 3rd round picks....

Young QBs leading teams to the Playoffs
ganesh replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched the Steelers/Bengals game....Dalton was going against the #1 defense in the NFL and made some clutch throws that Fitz cannot even dream about. Buddy really screwed up in not getting Dalton two drafts ago and the Kid has taken the Bengals to back-to-back playoffs and instead of that we have a bust in Aaron Williams.... The change of guard in the NFL...except that Brady/Manning are still passing for 4000+ yards/30TDs ....Damn....Where did we go so wrong.... -
It doesn't matter...Chan would have never put Wilson on the field.
-
And most of them are the regular sad sacks of the 21st century except for the Eagles. Things just went terribly wrong there the past two seasons. Losing their DC to god turned this franchise upside down

I don't thin so. SJ still has concentration problems, drops passes, short arms passes...Agreed that having a sub-par QB does not help. But let us not heap all the Sh.... at the QB's feet. Just like Fitz, SJ has lost quite a few games by his dumb play.
