  1. Mike Wallace is the Lee Evans of the Steelers. He disappears at critical times in the games and is a one-trick pony (a downfield threat). It will be hard for the Bills or any other team to pay him 15M a year.
  2. They will franchise Levitre even if it will cost them 10M and then sign him to a long term deal. He is their best player on the OL.
  3. Make Bobby April as our HC. He can motivate this team into a top team (like he did with his special teams) and he may be available due to the crap in Philadelphia. I don't think this team is close enough as you suggest, they have strong weakness at QB, WR, TE, LB, CB, SS. What is the likelihood of filling all this with the draft and FA. It makes it worse when they have to fill up slots for getting rid of veterans such as Kelsay, Barnett.
  4. Barnett may also be free lancing and trying to cover for others causing big holes. There has been no accountability from the HC or the DC on the players...The players are running the asylum.
  5. Good Coaches adjust after seeing the tape during the game; Unfortunately, our coaches has no such ability. Look at how flat we are after coming back from half time.
  6. Romo takes too much crap for that crappy football team. Jones has had as bad drafts as Levy and Nix together and hence the mess in Dallas. At least, there team is playing for a playoff spot on Week 17. Fitz is currently the worst starting QB in the NFL. Stats and TV don't lie.
  7. Now there will be a new thread as to how we missed out on Gronkowski!!!
  8. I would rather take the couple of years of successful QBing than the Sh*** that we have right now.
  9. The reason the defender made that play was because they must have seen that innumerable times on tape. I have seen Fitz attempt/make that throw so many times that it was only a matter of time before someone jumped on that play. When your team has no #2/#3 WR and your TE is out of the game, where do you think the QB is going to throw.... 2nd round DT, Aaron Williams, TJ Graham, what a waste of 2nd and 3rd round picks....
  10. I watched the Steelers/Bengals game....Dalton was going against the #1 defense in the NFL and made some clutch throws that Fitz cannot even dream about. Buddy really screwed up in not getting Dalton two drafts ago and the Kid has taken the Bengals to back-to-back playoffs and instead of that we have a bust in Aaron Williams.... The change of guard in the NFL...except that Brady/Manning are still passing for 4000+ yards/30TDs ....Damn....Where did we go so wrong....
  11. When you are 31st against the run and can't stop opposing QBs from running the ball at will, your LB cannot be good against the run!!
  12. It doesn't matter...Chan would have never put Wilson on the field.
  13. And most of them are the regular sad sacks of the 21st century except for the Eagles. Things just went terribly wrong there the past two seasons. Losing their DC to god turned this franchise upside down
  14. I don't thin so. SJ still has concentration problems, drops passes, short arms passes...Agreed that having a sub-par QB does not help. But let us not heap all the Sh.... at the QB's feet. Just like Fitz, SJ has lost quite a few games by his dumb play.
  15. And that is what baffles me the most. Why not put Jacskson at least as a backup so that he can get bacukup REPS during the week. Right now the guy is not even holding the clipboard and making 3M to do that. Why are Nix and Gailey not answerable to this.
  16. The Bills...starting from the draft..... Missed out on potential starters in the draft. Cut Vince Young just because he had a horrible pre-season game Traded for Jackson (to replace Thigpen) and yet after 14 games, Thigpen is still on the roster and Jackson is yet to be active for a game Signed Brad Smith for 15M, but are yet to get a meaningful play out of him. Continue to play Fitz in spite of his fallings.
  17. Agree with 2 and 3...From the owners perspective, I am not sure if Robert Kraft is any different than Ralph Wilson. Both are NFL owners in it for the profit. Nothing more and nothing less!
  18. Players are also worried about getting that one big injury and ruining their chances (and their life earnings) and would rather sign now for the guaranteed signing bonus that takes care of their life. After that what they earn through the contract is a real bonus. So it goes both ways...Players will willingly sign a good deal when they see it, irrespective of which year they are in.
  19. Are you Ralph Wilson ? You want them to retire so that you don't have to pay them B-)
  20. The problem is that the Bills needed to offer Market Values to both of them at the beginning of this season. In Feb next year, when they have the choice of picking a team, Market value is not sufficient. Of course the Bills can Franchise tag one of them for another additional year of service. Trading your good players for draft picks that you turn into lousy players is also not an option. The Bills need starters @ QB WR RT MLB WLB SS and depth at QB WR OL DL LB CB
  21. Excellent diagnosis. Can't argue with any of the questions you have posed.
  22. ESPN is reporting that Kansas City Chiefs will be making Bill Polian their next GM. May be we can hire Scott Pioli and get him to rebuild here.
  23. I don't think the Bills failure is anything to do with the opening or not opening the purse by Wilson. It is simply the uncertainty that comes with his age that is keeping good HC/GMs from coming here. They simply do not want to become scapegoats as part of the transition to a new owner (See what happened to Mike Holmgren in Cleveland). While the Bills have had a decent team, lack of a good coaching staff has been a big problem. Unlike coaches, players have restrictions in selecting their team as they are drafted or signed as FA. Also, in sounding on about Donahoe, the fact that Donahoe has failed to get another GM job since being fired by Wilson is good evidence that Wilson was more right than Donahoe. I agree that we cannot compare Whaley situation with Donahoe and shy away from making him the GM and allowing him to run the 2013 draft. It is time we move to some young blood and let them work through this mess. Once again, it all starts with the QB. Good QBs make plays at the end to win games. Average/Bad QBs lose games as they can't make the tough throws.
