  1. It doesn't matter...Chan would have never put Wilson on the field.
  2. And most of them are the regular sad sacks of the 21st century except for the Eagles. Things just went terribly wrong there the past two seasons. Losing their DC to god turned this franchise upside down
  3. I don't thin so. SJ still has concentration problems, drops passes, short arms passes...Agreed that having a sub-par QB does not help. But let us not heap all the Sh.... at the QB's feet. Just like Fitz, SJ has lost quite a few games by his dumb play.
  4. And that is what baffles me the most. Why not put Jacskson at least as a backup so that he can get bacukup REPS during the week. Right now the guy is not even holding the clipboard and making 3M to do that. Why are Nix and Gailey not answerable to this.
  5. The Bills...starting from the draft..... Missed out on potential starters in the draft. Cut Vince Young just because he had a horrible pre-season game Traded for Jackson (to replace Thigpen) and yet after 14 games, Thigpen is still on the roster and Jackson is yet to be active for a game Signed Brad Smith for 15M, but are yet to get a meaningful play out of him. Continue to play Fitz in spite of his fallings.
  6. Agree with 2 and 3...From the owners perspective, I am not sure if Robert Kraft is any different than Ralph Wilson. Both are NFL owners in it for the profit. Nothing more and nothing less!
  7. Players are also worried about getting that one big injury and ruining their chances (and their life earnings) and would rather sign now for the guaranteed signing bonus that takes care of their life. After that what they earn through the contract is a real bonus. So it goes both ways...Players will willingly sign a good deal when they see it, irrespective of which year they are in.
  8. Are you Ralph Wilson ? You want them to retire so that you don't have to pay them B-)
  9. The problem is that the Bills needed to offer Market Values to both of them at the beginning of this season. In Feb next year, when they have the choice of picking a team, Market value is not sufficient. Of course the Bills can Franchise tag one of them for another additional year of service. Trading your good players for draft picks that you turn into lousy players is also not an option. The Bills need starters @ QB WR RT MLB WLB SS and depth at QB WR OL DL LB CB
  10. Excellent diagnosis. Can't argue with any of the questions you have posed.
  11. ESPN is reporting that Kansas City Chiefs will be making Bill Polian their next GM. May be we can hire Scott Pioli and get him to rebuild here.
  12. I don't think the Bills failure is anything to do with the opening or not opening the purse by Wilson. It is simply the uncertainty that comes with his age that is keeping good HC/GMs from coming here. They simply do not want to become scapegoats as part of the transition to a new owner (See what happened to Mike Holmgren in Cleveland). While the Bills have had a decent team, lack of a good coaching staff has been a big problem. Unlike coaches, players have restrictions in selecting their team as they are drafted or signed as FA. Also, in sounding on about Donahoe, the fact that Donahoe has failed to get another GM job since being fired by Wilson is good evidence that Wilson was more right than Donahoe. I agree that we cannot compare Whaley situation with Donahoe and shy away from making him the GM and allowing him to run the 2013 draft. It is time we move to some young blood and let them work through this mess. Once again, it all starts with the QB. Good QBs make plays at the end to win games. Average/Bad QBs lose games as they can't make the tough throws.
  13. Levitre has been the lone stand out on this line that has played all the games without an injury. Levitre and Wood are the center piece of this line and the Bills simply cannot let him walk. No good NFL player is easy to replace irrespective of the position. Urbik plays on the right side and Levitre plays on the left. Why does one sign and the other left to go to FA. If anything, wouldn't you want to sign your best player on the line.
  14. Can you please name the starting and backup WRs/TEs of the NFC East leading Washington Redskins. A good QB makes his supporting cast better. Same goes with the Steelers....Once Ben was back, both Miller and Wallace are back to catching passes. And look at the Green Bay Packers -- They don't miss a beat even when Jennings and Nelson are injured....It is not as if Cobb and Jones are superstars coming from College. Aaron Rodgers makes them a better football player!
  15. I would rather have Norv Turner as the OC rather than Chan Gailey. At least Norv will attempt to run the ball with Spiller and reduce the mistakes from his QB. (As a HC he sucked).
  16. To not give Jackson a chance is so humiliating especially considering that he was going to replace Thigpen who was stinking up the joint in pre-season. For him to be not even the backup after 14 games into the season is embarassing. This is one of the bad advertisement for players to stay away from Buffalo. Another blunder in the line of many by Nix and Chan.
  17. Retain Nix, Chan and Wanny. Fitz is back as the starting QB Lose Levitre and Urbik to Free Agency Draft a CB in the 1st round of the draft Ignore the LB position Cut Fred Jackson, who the signs with Bellicheat Sign a 5-year extension to play a home game in Toronto
  18. :wallbash: He was a horrible coach with the Bills. We need some tough coaches that will maximize the potential of the players on the team. This team really needs a disciplinarian.
  19. For every successful Kaepernick, Wilson and Daltons, there are duds in Ponder, Clausen, Skelton etc, And to be honest the data samples for Cousins and Kapernick are so small to assume that they are already successful draft picks. Having said, still the axe is on Nix for not even attempting to draft a few of them in the 4th-5th rounds of the draft.
  20. They lost of the Titans, Colts and Rams all with leads well into the 4th quarter. I have no confidence they can beat the Hawks, Dolphins or Jets. They very well could be finishing 5-11 to close the season.
  21. The problem is not that they have not tried, but tried in an unconventional ways and then not stuck with it. 1. Gave up a 1st rounder to get Bledsoe. Then when he lost to the Steelers, Donahoe cuts Beldsoe. He goes on to have another 3 seasons with Dallas including a playoffs. 2. Picked Losman with a 1st round and gave up a 1st round next year and then blew it as they could not put a good running game or a good defense around him to win. 3. Drafted Edwards in the 3rd and at one point appeared very promising, but then having shitting OCs eveyr season derailed his confidence and into oblivion. The problem is that they had a shot at picking a few other Prototypical QBs that could have succeeded here, but went the other way. But that is hindsight and we just cannot keep barking up the wrong tree.
  22. At this point if the locker room is favoring Freddie over a Red hot player like CJ, then this team is doomed.
  23. If the Bills continue to stop the run by playing weak running teams (except Seattle this week), our front office will have a wrong idea that our Run defense is fixed with Sheppard and Barnett and will probably pick another Safety at the top of the draft.
