  1. They should simply trade down and collect picks to fill all those holes on the roster.
  2. At this point, if Geno or Barkley are not there at #8, this team should trade down and get more picks for this year and next year. If we can change our 6 picks into 10 picks with the new picks in the 2nd-3rd rounds, it would help rebuild this team quickly. Kolb is definitely a serviceable QB who knows the WC offense and Bills will not be pressured to pick a Nassib or Manuel at the #8 spot. They can let this draft come to them.
  3. Nix himself quoted (at the Owners meeting) that there are 2 QBs who are NFL Caliber in this draft and finding those two is the challenge. The Kolb signing indicates that the team simply views him as an upgrade over TJ and probably wants to protect the team in case the rookie QB is not ready. I still think the Bills will draft a QB this year. Look at the amount of QB scrutiny the Bills are doing. They are holding individual/private workouts for most of the QBs that are likely to be drafted this year. The Kolb acquisition simply allows them to be flexible with not having to push themselves to get a QB in the 1st Round (When most of the QBs are considered 2-3rd talents).
  4. Why do the Bills care what the Media thinks about their draft. The Bills were toasted for drafting Spiller with the 1st pick when they had Lynch and Jackson in the fold. They were screamed at for Troupe over Gronk. They were thrown to the wolves when they traded up in Rd 3 to draft T.J Graham instead of picking the QB. The Bills don't care what the Media thinks.
  5. (I am sure the first year is not 6.5M...Probably gets a 3M signing bonus and 1.2 Vet minimum...The rest should be his 2nd year salary. It allows the Bills to cut him at the end of the season without killing themselves. For Kolb, he gets an opportunity to compete for the starting job in training camp.
  6. Philadelphia is still very much a team in the picture for Geno and they will be standing in our way.
  7. My biggest problem with Palmer is his lack of leadership. I have never seen him take responsibility and take charge of the team. He always seemed to play second-fiddle. And the guy who said "sign for Veteran Minimum" is smoking something really hot...The guy is refusing to take a pay cut from 10M....I definitely can see Arizona sign him to a 5-7M a year with incentives deal.
  8. May be the Bills are trying to get Raiders and Jax to pick Flynn so that they get a clear cut shot at Geno Smith.
  9. If EJ is the complete player that you are talking about, then he would be projected as a #1 pick, especially in the days when "read option" QBs seems to be the hot thing....I am yet to see a single draft expert put Manuel at the top of the draft board.
  10. Harrison and his agent is literally begging the Steelers to consider Harrision at a much lower salary than what they offered him initially before releasing him....How the mighty have fallen and can't seem to rise!! Yes
  11. I am sure Barkley and Geno are on everyone's list at the top of the board. E.J Manuel is a project, someone like Chip Kelly may be inclined to draft and have him learn for a year while Vick finishes his contract. There is likely to be a run on the 2nd tier QBs from the end of 1st round to beginning of 2nd round. It kind of hurts the Bills that their 2nd rd pick comes only after the Jets. If they stay course, they are likely to lose out on their choice. The Bills have a choice...Just pick their highest rated QB that is still available at #8 and everything else is moot. If the Bills take the risk of trying to draft one in the 2nd, they may have serious competition., +1. It is a deep WR draft.
  12. +1. Brad Smith is a wasted spot on the Roster and also costs ~3-4M this season. Just don't see what the value is.
  13. I don't think so. Posters have posted real arguments regarding the other draft picks and not-picking-a-QB. Good GMs prepare for the future not for the present.
  14. And he needed only 15 minutes to do it  Is Gilmore a Reporter for ESPN or Fox ?
  15. See..That was his way of avoiding his thread be shut down as a *duplicate*!
  16. +1 and this is a big part of the failure for the past three years.
  17. And by a eerie coincidence we now has two of his college linemates playing for us (Williams and Manny)....
  18. Nelson himself quoted that the Bills probably did not tender him because of medical reasons with regards to his knee.
  19. They still need to wipe their mistakes by cutting Brad Smith and may be Ryan Lindell.
  20. For me it is all those losses....You win them and you could have had three superbowl championships......There...I got that off my chest
  21. At this time of the year, there is *smokescreens* everywhere. You simply cannot believe what comes out of GMs (except for Nix) mouth. Considering that both the Chiefs and Cardinals require a long term QB solution....Umm.. Why would you called Ben that!!.....You are sick. Ben was never convicted of anything and the guy is married now. Some people can't just let things go..
  22. What other positions...Another DB ? This team will continue to falter when it keeps ignoring the most important position.
  23. As Dibs (thanks for the input) posted, not even close.... Brees: 2004: 262-400-3159.....65.5%......27TD......7INT.....Y/A 7.9.....104.8QBR....11-4 win/loss......All-pro 2005: 323-500-3576.....64.6%......24TD....15INT.....Y/A 7.2.....89.2QBR.....9-7 win/loss Fitz: 2011: 353-569-3832....62%.......24TD.....23INT.....Y/A 6.7.....79.1QBR.....5-8 win/loss 2012: 306-505-3400....60.6%....24TD.....16INT.....Y/A 6.7.....83.3QBR.....6-10 win/loss Fitz had 23 INT as opposed to 7 by Brees....That is a Grand Canyon size difference between a good and bad QB.
  24. Let us not jump ahead and call Cousins as a Franchise QB after a few games in relief role !!!!! +1....Decent OC - Yes....Horrible HC - Yes...
