Why ? They have an extremely good defense and a very talented QB. Their biggest concern is their WRs/RB. They also have a pretty good OL

And he sucked after his first few games...Our OL was horrible last year. If the line can be decent this season, all the 3 QBs actually have a shot.

People keep short-changing Geno Smith. I am not a Geno smith follower or supporter. But look at his stats in the 2nd half of the season. He made a tremendous jump in his completion percentage and cut down his INTs . He is definitely showing progress and IMHO has played better than Manuel. Baltimore and Pittsburgh definitely would have better odds to win the AFC Championship. Both have very good QBs and a good OL.

The problem with the Saints si that their window of opportunity closed and they have a weak team at different positions. Even if they have one of the best QB in the league, they struggled last year due to the OL. And Spiller needs the perfect OL to run East-West.

I think EJ lost his confidence and started waiting for the receivers to come out of the break with no anticipation. He was unsuccessful and the coaches did not help him.

But then how is it fair to single out the QB play (in shorts) when playing against the best DL. We can't have it both ways. Currently, this OL is pretty suspect. They were horrible last year. They set history in rushing the ball for the fewest yards.

We must temper this a little as he played against the backup Defense. Again, my worry is our OL's ability to hold at the Point of Attack.

+1 Especially with the talk of not paying Glenn at the end of the season (they have to decide who to pay between Dareus, Nigel, Gilmore and Glenn).

May be we should question the ability of the OL too. The OL has been below average during the OTAs.

He si not going to be the #1 TE. That would be Gronk. When Gronk is double covered, Chandler can worked the seams very well. Brady will find Chandler.

If Greg Roman can get this to a middling offense like Chan Gailey did with Fitz, this team will make the playoffs and even win a game in the playoffs. If the line protects well, then the QB's will be above average and make enough plays to win games. Greg Roman has to work towards that

Why wouldn't the Bills want to keep Cassel as a mentor and insurance policy if EJ were to win the job ? The Bills are staying put unless a Philip Rivers or Eli Manning is made available.

Everything you say in that last paragraph requires a very accurate QB who is on target with his WRs. From what I have seen in print, Taylor is an inaccurate QB. If that is the case, then having the speed WRs is useless.

Levy had a Jim Kelly. I hope Rex gets one half as good as Kelly and he will definitely do better than Marv

Cassel is a Journeyman QB Sammy had a pretty average rookie WR season considering where he was drafted McCoy comes to a Bills offense whose weakest link is the OL. Will he get room to run, cut etc. He had a fantastic OL in Philadelphia.

Nothing can beat the overspending this team did on Chris Kelsay !!!! All because they thought he was a great leader in the locker room

For the past few years, I have been watching NFL games on HD through live streaming from NFL gamepass and I have not had issues with buffering...I am 10K miles away from the live game. Networks now have the capacity to deal with this. The fear would be is this might be a boon for the service providers. My local provider caps my 20 Mbps link at 80G of data per month. After that I have to pay for every bit of transmission. A 3 hour HD NFL game is around 10+ GB and that doesn't give much chance if you are playing xbox online etc. They do this in India. It is a gold mine for the service provider.

Talent on Paper and on the field are two different things. The Bills have to show the ability to win on the field. That is the biggest difference between the Bills and the Patriots.
