This has been a phenomenal offseason. Great HC hire to a team where big names historically have chosen not to come Made a daring trade shipping out Fan favorite Kiko for an all-star RB Was not afraid to bring competition to the QB position Willing to pay star DT top-tier money Paid a ransom to get the top FA TE in the league They have put the players in position to succeed. Now can the coaching staff get them to succeed. I can't wait for the season to start.

I would rather play Kyle Williams as a TE

The days of re-signing a average to below average Chris Kelsay to a huge contract because he was a nice guy is gone. The Bills are aligning with the league more so in not babying their players. Jackson clearly showed his frustration by attacking Whaley. He needed to be a professional and move on. The Bills have to sign young players for the FUTURE. I think the Pegula's are ON board with this approach. After all the guy has been injured for the past four years. Consistency was never there with any of the Bills RBs.

Why didn't the 49ers tab him as their HC. Instead went with a line coach

My concern is still the OL. Last year it was average to poor. Will they be able to get the run game going and protect. Will Glenn and wood raise their level of play. Can the RT be solidified. Will miller be up to the task as a rookie. Big questions

Completely agree. Don't judge by their height/weight, but judge by the plays they make. The only issue people usually harp on is how does a small QB play in the cold and windy buffalo come November/December and possibly in January. Everyone always pointed out to the success of Jim Kelly and how his strong arm helped beat the weather. People forget that Kelly had weapons like Thomas and Reed and was not necessarily ripping the ball downfield every play.

Unfortunately, Rex Ryan did not draft him and owes no allegiance.

Why ? They have an extremely good defense and a very talented QB. Their biggest concern is their WRs/RB. They also have a pretty good OL

And he sucked after his first few games...Our OL was horrible last year. If the line can be decent this season, all the 3 QBs actually have a shot.

People keep short-changing Geno Smith. I am not a Geno smith follower or supporter. But look at his stats in the 2nd half of the season. He made a tremendous jump in his completion percentage and cut down his INTs . He is definitely showing progress and IMHO has played better than Manuel. Baltimore and Pittsburgh definitely would have better odds to win the AFC Championship. Both have very good QBs and a good OL.

The problem with the Saints si that their window of opportunity closed and they have a weak team at different positions. Even if they have one of the best QB in the league, they struggled last year due to the OL. And Spiller needs the perfect OL to run East-West.

I think EJ lost his confidence and started waiting for the receivers to come out of the break with no anticipation. He was unsuccessful and the coaches did not help him.

But then how is it fair to single out the QB play (in shorts) when playing against the best DL. We can't have it both ways. Currently, this OL is pretty suspect. They were horrible last year. They set history in rushing the ball for the fewest yards.

We must temper this a little as he played against the backup Defense. Again, my worry is our OL's ability to hold at the Point of Attack.

+1 Especially with the talk of not paying Glenn at the end of the season (they have to decide who to pay between Dareus, Nigel, Gilmore and Glenn).

May be we should question the ability of the OL too. The OL has been below average during the OTAs.

He si not going to be the #1 TE. That would be Gronk. When Gronk is double covered, Chandler can worked the seams very well. Brady will find Chandler.

If Greg Roman can get this to a middling offense like Chan Gailey did with Fitz, this team will make the playoffs and even win a game in the playoffs. If the line protects well, then the QB's will be above average and make enough plays to win games. Greg Roman has to work towards that

Why wouldn't the Bills want to keep Cassel as a mentor and insurance policy if EJ were to win the job ? The Bills are staying put unless a Philip Rivers or Eli Manning is made available.
