  1. I don't agree with the assertion that we cannot be a top 5 defense.... We technically have * A all-pro CB * Two well rounded Safeties that don't make mistakes * Two all-star Linebackers * A DT picked in the top 10 in the draft and an all-star DE This core group with some exciting peripheral players definitely has a chance to be a top-5 defense.
  2. The biggest issue with Wallace is that he does not have the speed to close the gap.
  3. I think this is still the best chance... Watson to Carolina Wilson to Seatte Darnold to Seattle
  4. We have to PAY Allen, Edmunds, Oliver and possibly Knox in the near future....We have to be cap conscious
  5. The AFC Championship proved otherwise
  6. Actually, the Bills offense that year ran through Thurman Thomas. The failure on the Bills was NOT using their MVP on every down. He was that good.
  7. Wouldn't that still cost 6-7M against the Cap this year (if it were a one year deal?)
  8. especially considering that th Texans are paying him almost $6M over a two year period
  9. especially in a cap-starved year
  10. For several years, the difference between their team and us had been the QB and it will continue to be that way
  11. we did over pay for Jefferson, Addison and Butler last off season on day 1 and day 2
  12. I guess they have to improve the technique. You cannot expect to the do the same with the same players and expect a different result. I think some of the run game blame is due to the lack of confidence in our RBs.
  13. We did cut Jefferson and then did not re-sign Murphy. So currently we have a major hole at DE in terms of Depth Chart
  14. May be Rex Ryan is secretly their General Manager !!!
  15. because why would players agree to that.
  16. I am not sure if they can afford or pay another FA contract for the OL. Feliciano will be outside looking in as far as Bills are concerned with FA. They will get one of the low end FA or a mid round draft pick, I am not sure Feliciano contract requirement will now fit the BIlls budget for 2021
  17. wow. our bookend tackles under contract for next three seasons. Now they have to find some cheaper talent for the LG position and hope Cody Ford will be back at the RG position
  18. hometown discount. Great show of respect from both parties.
  19. May be they don't want big money on a 3rd WR but instead use it to get a #1 TE....
  20. The issue is the Bills NOT cutting him last year. If we had cut him last year, the cap savings he would have provided would have been rolled over to this years Cap space which would have allowed us to be more flexible this year.
  21. I think Josh is focused on winning a championship and like Brady will do right by the team to ensure that they can put a competitive team around him.
  22. One of Mel's arguments in favor of Josh is that his (Allen's) stats in college are skewed (especially the completion percentage). He mentioned that (on the draft day when Allen was picked) Allen's completion % is lower because he was asked to throw less than 25 time. For rhythm passers, the 25 number is not sufficient., He says that if Allen had an opportunity to throw 30+ times in a real offense, his % would have automtaically increased with the extra check downs to RB/TEs and to slot receivers
  23. he would have been gone if we had a stellar back up in waiting. The window of opportunity for the Bills is the next 2-3 years and then thre will be a rebuild once again around Josh Allen. Continuity during this window is very important
