  1. We don't need someone JA has to worry about because he didn't get enough touches. I don't see us passing 40+ times a game and his #'s will drop. Plus he's not a lockeroom fit. You don't bang someone's(Poyer) fiance and get respect from teammates. Apparently Poyer was cheating on his fiance 1st and karma is a ...but we just don't need this stuff in our locker room. No way do we bring him in.
  2. I know this isn't sports related and a little early, but I wanted to wish you all and your families a happy and safe New Years Eve. Gonna try and stay awake til midnight, but in case I don't make it I wanted to get that out there.
  3. I wouldn't miss mccoy not being here, but it's his last yr on contract and cutting him here would create another open spot/hole to fill. I'm fine either way cuz I believe there are good rbs in the draft to be had in the mid round picks.
  4. I picked today because I think Detroit uses a spy on Allen and we take advantage. It helps if Clay and Zay don't drop passes.
  5. I hope Murphy shows enough in the last few games to warrant a look as a possible #2 rb. Keep McCoy for his last yr and draft a rb. As for the oline, we need the middle of the line addressed. Definitely center and rg. Dawkins looked good when he had incognito amd wood next to him. Teller is intriguing. He has a chance in the next 3 weeks and off-season to make his case. Get rid of all the tight ends for all I care. Can't be any worse, can it? Allen Mccoy Dawkins Jones Foster Teller? Mills( only because we need the interior taken care of more, imo).
  6. To me, a #1 wr is each team's " go to" guy. Gets the most targets and is looked to when as the leader of the wr group. As sad as this is, he was our #1 for a couple of years. Would he have been for other teams? For most, no. But he was for us those 2-3 yrs. It's harder to gauge on a team that spreads it out a lot(Pats, Rams, etc.). If I was a fan of any of these teams and watched them exclusively, I could probably point him out. Sure you want size and speed, but it's someone the qb trusts in every situation. Tough question though.
  7. I'm not a pro by any means, but I can relate to a degree. I smoked before every soccer game and some basketball games in high school. Was smoking since the age of 15. Non-smoker for a few years now(I'm 51 now). I felt like I had a more of a narrow focus. Didn't pay attention to anything other than the game and didn't lose motivation. Maybe tmi.
  8. Rooting for the Jets. Only for draft position purposes.
  9. Still don't get the infatuation with his clapping. Should he pick his nose or butt instead ?!?!?
  10. Ralph was cheap when it came to coaches and gm's. Don't blame them for not being interested.
  11. I don't get the obsession some of you have with him clapping. What's the big deal?
  12. It is a little early for buyers remorse, but I would be worried about Rosen and concussion issues. Other than that, they all have shown enough to warrant starting next year. Even Jackson.
  13. That would be an average of: 2017: 122 yds per game at 31 attempts per game 2018: 85 yds per game at 21 attempts per game If my math is right. They are not going to get 847 yds in the next 3-4 games at the rate they run the ball this year. ESPN stats 2017: 527 pass attempts all season or almost 33 pass attempts per game 2018: 524 pass attempts so far w 4 games left or 40 attempts per game 2017: 501 rush attempts. Only Jax had more rushing attempts last year. 2018: 274 rush attempts so far. The only team with less rushing attempts this year is Atl. They have totally changed their philosophy from run heavy to pass heavy. Not sure if you agree or were giving stats to counter.
  14. Minny totally changed their offensive philosophy and kept most of the offensive players from last year. You don't go from how good they were last year and change the offense that dramatically, unless it's a rebuild or you are given time to work a new scheme and QB in. They forgot who they were. Not the OC's fault. Management.
  15. I really hope not. His style requires a line that has jelled and get's him 2 or 3 yds before being touched(Zeke). We need someone who hits the hole, or at least where the hole is supposed to be. 1-2 yds is better than a 2 yd loss because he didn't go straight at it. JMO.
  16. If I read it correctly this is the off-season to let him go. The cap hit isn't bad, so I don't think he's a Bill next year. I was all for the trade back to Philly, by the way. Maybe go after L. Bell?
  17. If it was just Wood, he would be tough to replace, but we lost Cogs too. In the middle of a rebuild, it's tough to lose a pro bowl center and pro bowl left guard unexpectedly . You just can't do it in one off-season, especially when the draft was about getting your franchise QB. We have our QB and most on this board agreed getting a QB was paramount. Whether you agree or not that Allen is the guy aside, the front office did what they said they were going to do. And I am glad they prioritized the QB position over center or guard. Seems some folks either forget that or just want to complain. I am curious, what was your plan to replace them? Keep in mind the fact that at this moment you have had an extra 4 months since the season started to come up with a plan than they had. Also curious to hear Sal's plan. It's so easy to complain and not come up with an alternative. If we are in the same boat next year, complain all you want. I'l be right there with you.
  18. Mack is someone you can build a defense around for the next 5-7 years.(that's a pretty big window in the NFL, Pats aside). What I've seen from Cooper is someone besides a qb you can build upon. I'd take the known in a heartbeat. But somehow Gruden didn't see Mack as a dominating presence. Thinking he whiffed on the Copper deal too. WTH was he watching in the booth? Oh, right. Banana spider blah blah blah.
  19. After watching Cooper and Mack last night, I think they fired the wrong guy. I remember reading how Gruden was surprised Mack is as dominating as he is after trading him. WOW. That's like Trump campaigning that "only he" could fix healthcare, only to be quoted after elected saying " I didn't know healthcare was so complicated. Who knew it was that complicated?". What a dumb behind.
  20. Even though they beat the bucs on the road, it's hard to feel good about the Saints when they're not at home or in a dome. Tonight's game for the Rams is interesting. On the road, in the cold. This game will say a lot to me as to who is the better team. Rams at Saints, I take the Saints. At L.A., I go Rams. Better team? Toss up right now.
