  1. Yeah, burning one of our home games is really the cherry on top of this sh!t sundae.
  2. No. The NFL has a standard G4 loan that contributes $200M and is paid back. Someone needs to ask Roger what exactly did he learn from this experiment.
  3. There were a lot of fans trying to convince themselves that losing Tre was no big deal. Sorry, but it was a big deal and there's a reason Elam was inactive the first 4 weeks.
  4. I've never been an advocate for paying RB's, but 3 years at the age of 24 isn't the worst contract. It's no coincidence that it ends when Richardson's comes up for renewal.
  5. This is a good point. Our front office "loved him, didn’t want to lose him" and were in constant talks about re-signing. Send a huge thanks to Chicago and Ryan Poles for taking the decision out of our hands. You can't pay that much money for an off-the-ball linebacker.
  6. This is painful to watch. More flags than points.
  7. Unless the rules have changed, not until the start of training camp. For the record I don't think the settlement thing will happen, just throwing it out there. There's so many variables to consider (i.e. the player's stature, etc) and so much uncertainty still. The only thing certain right now is that this sucks.
  8. In the NFL an injured player cannot be released. Injury settlements are typically used in place of putting a player on IR for the rest of the season. However once a settlement is reached in this fashion, the player is immediately released. This would be extremely unlikely to happen this season. Because White is a vested veteran (4+ years of service) he can be put on IR next March without having to go through injury waivers. This would allow them to attempt a settlement and release the player which would give the Bills cap relief ($16M but like $10M dead) and allow White to tryout for another team.
  9. It sucks but I have to agree with the Bills part. That $16M cap hit for a guy that now has 2 major injuries isn't wise.
  10. I need you to understand that these are not the same people.
  11. I've said before that Allen will go through at least 4 different OCs in his career. It's the downside of having a defensive HC. Now if any of those OCs will amount to anything without Allen under center is the real question.
  12. Even if we stay in-house and elevate internally from PS (Ingram/Brown) they still will likely bring in another body to slot into the practice squad. I would expect them to add a more established CB by the deadline because you can't operate under the assumption that no one else will be hurt in the secondary.
  13. The man's career is in jeopardy. It really puts a damper on what was supposed to be a glorious day.
  14. If you thought it took until Saturday to understand this, yeah delete your sportsbook apps 😂
  15. Absolutely. And if you are one of those people on the first few pages of this thread that thought the line was going to move from -3 to Even without a major injury -- just delete your sportsbook apps from your phone right now. Trust me.
  16. Since we're proposing fantasy football trades here, why not?
  17. You don't want to burn him out before the playoffs. This is historically what happens with every rookie TE. (according to TBD)
  18. This in itself is stupid enough.
  19. Toronto game was pretty ugly. UPL was in midseason form. Olofsson blended right in with the other AHL'ers. The lineup was certainly lacking but not a lot of positives to take away from that one.
  20. Zach Benson looks amazing. Hard to believe he just turned 18 four months ago.
  21. Bears GM Ryan Poles spent over $130M on the 1st day of free agency and then traded for Moore's ~$50M left on his contract. Certainly not all-in, but a clear signal they were planning on making big strides this season. I don't think he has the clout to tell ownership "Hey let's cut bait and sell-off 2 months into the season, give me another shot next year." His job wouldn't survive it - he's tied to these players and has to find a way to make it work. Good luck.
