  1. Yes. If the guy we draft with the Lee Evans pick get hits by lighting and dies 5 minutes after hanging up the phone with us (don't laugh), it still is a good trade. It's a bad pick, but the trade itself would still be regarded as good. They are two separate things. Who we draft with that pick is irrelevant. There isn't a huge market for 30-year old receivers - Randy Moss went for a 4th when he was 30, so I think getting a 4th for Evans is fantastic.
  2. Yeah, I guess an 8 year body of work that saw him average 3.2 rec and 51.3 yds a game isn't long enough. But I have heard he is an amazing decoy.
  3. So you are saying we should have beat the 49ers offer of $80 million and kept Clements here? If that's the case, put down the crack pipe and step away from the computer please. $42+ mil for Poz? LOL. McGahee pouted like a child and wanted out of here no matter what. Lynch turned on beast mode whenever he felt like it (about 2 runs a game), and is still one arrest away from being suspended. Lee Evans will go down as the most overrated Buffalo Bill in team history. On any other team he would be a mediocre #3 receiver. Smartest thing that guy ever did was pick #83 - had every casual fan duped for his entire career. And don't say I'm kicking him on the way out, I have been bashing him since 2008. Not surprisingly, every time we get rid of some overpriced player, there will be a group of delusional fans who think we lost a Hall of Famer. The more things change indeed.
  4. Jooooeeeeeee Criiiiiibs is loooooooosssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. He was given multiple chances, under 2 different coaches/coordinators in fact. And yes, there is a reason he isn't doing this for the Bills. It's because he's an undersized, soft, situational player that gets pushed around. The only thing he's proven to anyone that actually watched him this year is that it's nice to be a 3rd-and-long pass rusher for a top five defense that blitzes more than any other team in the league.
  6. It's called having realistic expectations 2 years into a complete rebuild. Instead of whining every post, why don't you answer the original question that was asked by multiple people - What did you think their record would be before the start of the season? Than you will have your answer.
  7. Billionaires don't buy NFL teams to make money - there's far better investment vehicles for that level of wealth. Owning a pro sports franchise is the ultimate status symbol of the elite, and you have to have an incredible passion for the sport.
  8. Try 2 years. It's taken that long just to get rid of all the crap that Jauron stockpiled (Edwards, Lynch, Whitner, Evans, McCargo, Maybin, etc, etc) Again, it's not our fault you thought the team was going to the Super Bowl after the Pats game.
  9. No, national TV revenue is shared equally. Again, no. The NFL licensing fee on all merchandise is also shared equally. It's amazing how many people are misinformed when it comes to NFL revenue sharing. Local TV markets and jersey sales are a pittance in terms of a team's overall revenue. The biggest disparity between franchise revenue over the past 15 years has been from luxury box seating, which is exempt from the 60-40 gate split. Did you know gate revenue was split 60-40?
  10. Warren Sapp had 3.0 sacks his rookie year.
  11. They may not be a good team, but they are certainly not a "crap" team and are far, far from being considered pathetic. Let me ask you and all the doomsayers a question. Before the first snap on week 1, what was your prediction for their record this year? Be honest. Did you really think they would go 12-4 or 11-5? I would say most on here had them pegged in the 6-10 and 7-9 range. I had them pegged for 7-9 but wouldn't say that in public for fear of being ridiculed. Yet they're on pace to to exceed that in one of the tougher divisions in the league. Pathetic? Hardly. This organization was blown-up and gutted (thankfully) less than 2 years ago. That's not an excuse I'm making, it's fact. Did you honestly think that we would go from 4-12 to the playoffs? It would be nice, but it's not realistic thinking. Too many fans flip-flop on and off the bandwagon on a weekly basis. 3-game winning streak? We're going to the Superbowl! 3-game losing streak? Burn down the stadium and move the team! Look, we're not as good as the Jets. We're not as good as the Patriots either. But we are closing the gap, slowly but surely, even if you're unable to see it. Should a mediocre 8-8 record be considered acceptable? No, it shouldn't and it isn't - but it is what many astute football fans would consider realistic coming into this season. TLDR: It's not our fault you thought they were going to the Superbowl after beating the Pats. P.S. Ralph is cheap.
  12. Take your logic and rational thinking and gtfo! We'll have none of that talk on a Monday.
  13. The posters on this board need to wise up. This guy is obviously a troll and isn't very knowledgeable about football (he's president of the Cam Newton is going to suck club lol). There's a lot of fans on this board that are weather vane's - they talk playoffs after every win, and after every loss they don't think the Bills will win a game for the rest of the season. Please step away from the Reply key and let the less knowledgeable rant on.
  14. Romo might not break a sweat this game. He certainly won't have to wash his jersey.
  15. Thread Summary: Bills cut ticket prices, fans complain.
  16. If they didn't get it on the QB sneak you would all be whining that we didn't give it to Fred. Jets are very stout in the middle a QB sneak is not a gimmie.
  17. No. Just No. Freddie running with a boat anchor tied around his waist would be better than him splitting time with Lynch.
  18. Actually, you only want 1 point man negotiating 1 contract at a time. There's still really no urgency at this point (aside from making the fans jittery).
  19. This is going to be a really tough week for the Negative Nancies.
  20. So true, as soon as I read the Maybin comment I thought I was being trolled on a forum. Comments like that simply belie sound football knowledge in lieu of garnering attention.
  21. Yeah I was wondering about that myself. Also, when he lead the SEC in sacks he did it with a cast on his hand for half the season. Would like to see him get some snaps this Sunday.
  22. Thread summary: Bills fans are great at picking last week's lotto numbers.
