Good or bad opinions, at least we aren't the Bears
Dragonborn10 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No but you should not bash the team for giving up a couple of picks on unproven players either. If Trubisky is even close to Matt Ryan let alone the true top tier QB's no one will care how much they gave up. Would I have made the trade? No. My guy is Kizer and I hope he falls 10 more spots. -

Last USC QB to be good? Last USC QB to stay in school and get better? -

RD 1, Pick 27: Tre'Davious White (CB) - LSU

Nearly 6ft. 4 year starter. Solid pick. Now get Kizer or Foster in second -
3 Guys you like @27

Foster if still there or Kizer -
Busters: Fournette and McCaffrey I think Fournette is going to be as big a bust as Trent Richardson. He looks like a guy that is going to have a hard time keeping his weight down. He has been injury prone in college. McCaffrey is a fraud and he knows it. That is why he didn't play in the Bowl Game, senior Bowl, or is doing individual workouts. He will not be able to take the hits in the NFL. Pac-12 defenses are almost as bad as the Big 12. He will never be a full time RB. Could he be the next Wes Welker? Possibly. His best shot is at slot WR. That said, I thought Joey Bosa was going to be a bust and he looked every bit the first round pick he was last year.

Dareus play will make or break this Defense
Dragonborn10 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've said it multiple times. This team was destroyed by Rex and injuries. A healthy #14 and a defense that has the defenders looking at the opponents and not back at each other will be enough to win 10 games. -
Here's How We Get the 1st and 2nd Overall Picks
Dragonborn10 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Keep the trade downs and add 5 players at less cost. -
How does trading down mean th ey will not take a QB? If anything it makes it more likely. None of them are worth #10. Kizer in the 20s would be nice.

Bills decline to match Gillislee offer sheet
Dragonborn10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
18 pages for a back-up RB in a passing league and on a board that at best thinks the current QB is adequate?? I liked TD Mike. But if fat Karlos had not turned to drugs Gillislee might have had 20 total carries last year. I would have matched the offer only because the kid has produced and pick #163 is really a 6th round talent. Can't wait for Thursday!!! -
One of my favorite teams. Oh if Ferguson had not hurt his ankle. I have an autographed football from most of the team. Real signatures. Real ink. Cribbs was such a great talent. Butler too.

Let' assume you are right about TT. It still doesn't mean the correct course of action is QB at #10. They can add a QB by dropping back in the first or wit until the second round. If they can not move down take a day 1 starter - Howard, WR, LB, or DB. These will all improve the team this year. If they can move out of #10, then I am all for taking a QB later. My choice would be Kizer. He is intelligent and young. He can sit for two years and still be young. I would take him in the twenties after a trade down with Houston.

My draft strategy if Trubisky is still on the board
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would pass on Trubisky at ten. I only make the pick if the trade is already agreed. I like Howard, Davis, or a DB at #10 over any QB in this draft. I like Kizer a bit more. He just sounds like a bright kid in every interview I have heard. But I would be ok with Mahomes in this scenario as well. -
Post Your Schedule Complaints Here
Dragonborn10 replied to RevWarRifleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is pointless to predict what is going to happen. Injuries change everything. Most years a team will go from bottom to top. It seems like a tough schedule on paper. But things change. Bengals are getting worse. Denver has worse QB situation than ours and lost Wade Phillips. Raiders have to fly East and play early. Chargers, Jets, and Saints are in full rebuild mode. They get the Pats at home when it still might mean something. And they play Miami twice in December. Let's see what the draft brings. -
Which non-QB to avoid in the first round?
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Parrish was a second round pick. Spiller was such a bad pick in so many ways. -
Who is off your draft board at this point? Jabrill Peppers is a player without a position - too small for LB, probably doesn't have the cover skills for S

Pats sign Gillislee to offer sheet
Dragonborn10 replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Match or don't match. I'm ok with either. He is a good player and it is only a 2 yr deal. For the record I would match. But if they don't I really don't see it as a big deal. They have other backs on the roster and the extra pick will help the depth in the back 7 on defense. -
Williams has size and respectable speed. Davis has decent size but appears to be the most complete WE. McCaffrey is a type of player the Bills have never had in this era. A truly elite slot WR that has the quickness to beat any LB,safety, and most CBs. Ross has elite speed. Is he just a slot guy or at 5'10 can he be a true #2 I think I like Davis the best. He has size, speed, and runs routes well. He is a complete WR that could replace Watkins as the #1 if Watkins' foot does not heal.

Draft the Person first, not the player!
Dragonborn10 replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They tried that approach with Marv as GM. It didn't work. I think you are missing the mark with character. I would place a much higher emphasis on intelligence. The Bills seem to have forgotten this league is all about decision making. There are precious few athletes that are just physically so much better than the competition that they can dominate. It usually comes down to execution during pressure moments and decision making. -
Now that Crunch Time is coming...........
Dragonborn10 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sticking with your assumption of no trades then my answer is no. No QB in this draft is worth #10. And with holes at CB, S, LB, RT, WR there just is not enough picks to use on a QB. In my best case scenario, Howard is taken at 10, and then they take BPA among those 5 positions. My plan however would be to move back if at all possible. Each of these QB's have qualities that are worth looking at. If they can drop way back in the first then I take Mahomes there. If they can only move back a few spots but pick up an extra second then I take BPA in first round (perhaps Davis WR) and Kizer in the second round.
