I heard on the radio that the Patriots did it when they lost Brady for the season, won 11 games, and didn't make the playoffs. I thought they lost to Miami and the Wildcat that year. Indeed they lost to both Miami and NY Jets. Maybe it was a different Patriots team they were talking about.

Thanks for showing everyone why it is better to build a defense from up the middle by starting with a DT and not a SS who is bad in coverage. And when Poz is not resigned, Marv Levy's failure will be complete...

Bell is fine at LT. He can't play RT. Drafting an OT in the first round at this point would be a waste. Mallett is horrible. He is terribly immobile with a slow release. Locker has all the tools to develop into a great QB and Fitzy will be a decent mentor. Please don't get me wrong I would be happy with front 7 defensive line help and I qualified my TE comments by saying he had to have superstar potential. If there is not a TE like Vernon Davis available then defense defense defense. Just please don't draft another slow white dude like Derek Fine in the middle rounds to address the TE position.

Outside of being schooled by Jared Allen Demetrius Bell has played well enough to pass on a LT in the first round of the draft. Fitzy much to my chagrin has also played well enough that the Bills don't NEED to draft a QB in the first round. That being said if the Bills win one or two of these last two games and they are drafting between 5-12 I would be happy with Jake Locker or any front 7 defensive player. At some point I would draft another RT prospect in rounds 4-7. BUT.... If there is a Vernon Davis or Kellen Winslow (pre-injury) type TE available in the top of the first round I would get that guy. My only question is whether Chan doesn't use TE's by design or because the best healthy TE we have is Stupar(otherwise known as Lee's ankle killer). A super TE would make this offense lethal.

Oh no you didn't..... Don't dishonor Winfield, Clements, and Greer by lumping Whitner with them. They were much much better players. No way Whitner sees 1/10th of the offers the others got.

Wood was great. He will be the starting center next year. I was in favor of shutting him down for the rest of the season to let his leg heal for next season. But with Hangman going down I think these next three games against division foes playing at the center position will be good for him - assuming Wilfork doesn't cheap shot him. I don't think Hangman is big enough to play guard.

Still better than the treatment he should be getting in a Gerogia jailhouse as a convicted rapist...

Criqui was awful. Plus it took the better part of an hour for them to realize Evans was hurt.
