  1. I haven’t checked for 3rd and long specifically but ESPN has the splits based on down and distance.
  2. Thanks for stating the obvious but that doesn’t answer my question.
  3. McD has had nothing but bad offenses. Where is all the confidence that he'll get it fixed coming from?
  4. I hate these comparisons so much. I hate these comparisons so much.
  5. Here is where this discussion turns stupid. First of all, you can't guarantee Allen would win us 2 SBs despite being a horrible turnover machine. Second, back in 2007 QBs were still getting massive rookie contracts so the incentive to stick with a guy you just paid $60mil to was greater than it is today. Bad QBs have won SBs before. It doesn't mean I should want to put up with a bad QB simply because some other bad QB won it all a decade ago.
  6. If you're looking for QB performance on 3rd down specifically... Allen 2019: 30/50, 383 yards, 60% completion, 4 TDs, 2 INTs, 94 QB rating. 10 rushes for 46 yards and 0 TDs 2018: 40/93, 508 yards, 46% completion, 1 TD, 4 INTs, 49 QB rating. 25 rushes for 122 yards and 0 TDs Tyrod 2017: 87/131, 907 yards, 66% completion, 6 TDs, 3 INTs, 92 QB rating. 34 rushes for 214 yards and 1 rushing TD. 2016: 66/118, 828 yards, 58% completion, 6 TDs, 2 INTs, 87 QB rating. 23 rushes for 134 yards and 2 rushing TDs. 2015: 61/85, 820 yards, 71% completion, 4 TDs, 1 INT, 117 QB rating. 21 rushes for 137 yards and 1 rushing TD.
  7. Allen 2019: 34% - 23rd 2018: 31% - 30th (He did not play the entire year obviously) Tyrod 2017: 41% - 9th 2016: 40% - 13th 2015: 37% - 19th https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/third-down-conversion-pct?date=2016-02-08 Again, this is 3rd down conversion percentage as an offense. If that’s what you meant.
  8. I would complain a lot on the internet if this happened
  9. Patrick Mahomes. He’s hurt and his value took a hit..get it done. Might as well include Andy Reid in the deal as well. We’ll cover the cost of his food so the compensation is fair.
  10. Seemed like you were looking for an argument that wasn’t there. Why else would you put words in my mouth? Regardless, this (whatever it is)has run its course.
  11. I know you’re trying really hard at some clever gotcha moment but it’s not working. The comment was about the fans being able to admit something about our QB. My response was pointing out how fans have been reluctant/refuse to admit when our QB was bad. I’m not sure why this is so difficult for you to understand.
  12. I thought my point was pretty clear. Even if Allen is bad, there will still be people who will argue otherwise (like they did for EJ and Tyrod) and call you a hater. It won’t be until the team moves on that they will finally accept that said QB was in fact not good.
  13. Does that say the distance the ball traveled? I don’t see it.
  14. No, it wasn’t.
  15. Is that what I said? No. What I’m saying is that for a lot of people, even if Allen is clearly not a good QB, they’ll never admit It until he’s actually gone.
  16. Don’t hold your breath. There were people who still believed EJ would emerge the year Rex took over. You saw how it was with Tyrod. People argued he was better than he actually was right up until he was cut. Then reality set in and those same people now agree with all the “haters”.
  17. By this logic, Tim Tebow was a good QB and so was Tyrod when he was here.
  18. Hue Jackson would have been our OC. He would have resurrected EJ’s career and we’d still be drunk from all the SB parades.
  19. Why are we assuming that he already doesn’t? As far as I know and from what both Daboll and Allen have said, he has the freedom to set protections and change plays at the line based on what the defense is showing. Im all for being pass happy though. Let the kid sling the rock. If he ends up doing great then we hit the jackpot. If he ends being more of he same or worse then we’ll know what we have.
  20. Im not saying he should be our work horse right away but how does he not get involved early? A few carries or some easy screens to try and get Allen into an rhythm and maybe pick up some yards. How do we draft a RB in the 3rd and give him so few touches, sometimes not until the 2nd half?
  21. Who knows at this point? Whenever people talk about having a #1 WR they always point to the elite WRs as examples. If you’re holding out hope of finding the next Julio Jones to pair with Allen then good luck.
  22. I don’t think anyone views Allen as a completed project at his point. We all knew he would need time to develop. Where we all differ is the kind of QB we think he’s going to develop into. Saying he’s still developing is pointless. To me, it’s like using it as a crutch to excuse poor production with the hope he will blossom into an amazing QB. That may never happen.
