  1. Scoring as many points as you can is the point of the offense. I’m not so sure they care if it takes them 3 plays or 15. Working the clock has its place but I don’t agree that many teams would rather drag out drives. If you have a source for that I’d love to read about it. that’s what I’m hoping for
  2. It’s definitely still early and things can obviously improve. Our strength of schedule is still in our favor so Allen and the offense should be able to take advantage of these bad teams coming up. And I am giving him a chance to grow. I like a lot of what he’s done. Being desperate for a franchise QB shouldn’t exclude anyone from talking about his weaknesses and how this offense can improve. If I’m going to hype him up as a franchise QB then that’s where the bar is being set. Simply being better than EJ or Tyrod isn’t good enough.
  3. If anything we at least agree that his turnovers need to be cleaned up.
  4. You don’t actually believe this right? Ive never heard of an offense who is not trying to score as many points as possible. Isn’t that their job?
  5. I know it’s not ALL Allen but he is on pace to finish this season with 22 interceptions.
  6. You know times have been rough for us when people are willing to lose limbs just have to have a QB who’s finishes the year in the middle of the pack in passing yards. ill never miss Tyrod throwing for 170 yards in a game
  7. You don’t know my history of praise and criticism but still asked the question as if I’ve never acknowledged or praised him for anything good he’s done? Is it not a legitimate point? Do you not have a problem with how many times Allen turns the ball over or the fact that we are 26th in the league in points scored at 18 per game?
  8. Believe me the points about us gaining yards and being great in the Redzone aren’t lost on me. We are able to move the ball pretty well but the biggest issue to me seems to be Allen turning the ball over way too many times (which you acknowledged). It’s great that Allen seems to play his best in the 4th quarter but I also don’t want to see bad teams keeping games close because he turns the ball over trying to do too much. At the end of the day winning is what matters most but in order for us to be the kind of team we hope to be under Allen (SB contenders) then he needs to really limit his turnovers. Has my criticism been over the top or ignored the good aspects of his play though? I think I’ve been pretty fair with my praise and criticism of Allen.
  9. Why would you even bother to ask such a stupid question?
  10. I’d rather see Allen light it up against bad teams and not need a 4th quarter comeback or game winning drive. We are one of the worst teams in the league at scoring points.
  11. Allen was really bad against NE. I was at he game and I’ve re-watched the game and the All-22. It was bad. It happens though you hate to see it against NE in a game where we kept it close as could have won.
  12. This team will go as far as Allen takes us. With our schedule and defense, 10 wins should be the floor. If Allen can tone down the turnovers then we can beat anyone.
  13. Favre is also 4th all time in TD passes. I’ve said it before but I’m willing to live with interceptions if it also means Allen is putting up yards and throwing a lot of TDS. Take away Phillips’ 3 sacks and he didn’t have that good of a game.
  14. John Brown is just as good if not a better deep threat than Foster. I just don’t think it’s a confidence issue.
  15. meh, I wouldn’t say it’s a confidence issue. He didn’t have a problem with the deep ball last year when he had worse receivers and protection. I just think Daboll is trying to emphasize higher percentage throws in the game plan.
  16. What makes you think he lacks confidence in that area?
  17. He’s also part of the reason why we can’t get a lead or keep it. He needs to stop being a turnover machine and help this offense put up more points. To his credit though, playing his best in the 4th quarter when we’re down is pretty awesome.
  18. This is going just how I would expect an Allen discussion to go. Maybe it’s time we resurrect the Allen will be an MVP candidate thread for even more entertainment
  19. He’s an offensive guy so it wouldn’t surprise me if his name is mentioned but I don’t think he’s done anything to warrant getting hired. I also didn’t think Zac Taylor or Matt LeFleur we’re going to be hired either and look what happened. It’s Snyder so who knows?
  20. sucks that we had to give up on a 2nd round pick we traded up for 2 years ago.
  21. Colin Cowherd is loving life right now
  22. Zay’s dad taking a shot at Allen
  23. probably includes his rushing yards.
