  1. Are these the same people that consider QB rating a controversial stat or the ones that hate on PFF in one thread but accept their conclusion in another when it’s what they want to hear?
  2. I don’t conflate the two actually.
  3. yup then he went back to being mediocre
  4. Flacco is such a mediocre QB and has been his entire career.
  5. I did not know Matt Moore was the Chiefs backup
  6. Get over what Allen thing? This is literally a thread about a PFF stat for QBs.
  7. Seriously? This is just silly on your part. In what world is passer rating a controversial statistic? We certainly don’t seem to have any problem using it when it’s to show howAllen is one of the highest rated passers in the 4th quarter.
  8. Passer rating has a formula. All ESPN did was use that to determine how QBs did against 5 or more pass rushers. It’s objective and what Romo or Cossel think don’t change what the numbers are.
  9. It states it is based on passer rating when facing 5 or more rushers. To me, there really isn’t a methodology or room for interpretation with these numbers. They are what they are. I actually couldn’t care less about that PFF or that podcast that was posted here. I listened to it for 30 seconds and couldn’t take it any longer. It was brutal.
  10. There are certain things that I think PFF does well and can be a useful tool for analysis. Then there’s the majority of everything else they do where it’s stupid. Power rankings fall under the stupid category. To be honest, I don’t care what anyone else thought about Allen or any other QB prior to the draft. The only thing I care about is how he’s actually playing for his team.
  11. What methodology are you referring to?
  12. Oh. My. Goodness. Let’s just never discuss anything unless Allen is the absolute best in the world at it. Showing he’s struggled against the blitz this year has nothing to do with Mariota, Mayfield or Winston. It doesn’t mean that anyone who is doing better in this one specific area is also better at literally everything else. It’s an area of improvement. That’s the point.
  13. What point are you even arguing here?
  14. How you are against the blitz isn’t meaningless. It also doesn’t mean that being good against the blitz means you’re a world beater. It’s merely a component of having to play QB. The more things you are consistently good at then the better you and your team will be. This place is so quick to dismiss things simply because Allen isn’t among the greats.
  15. John Brown has made a career of being a burner and catching the deep ball. He’s a big play waiting to happen.
  16. There’s room for improvement. I’d like to see him have a game or 2 where he goes off and throws for like 350 yards and 3TDs.
  17. I’ve watched quite a lot of Seahawks games over the years mainly because of Wilson. He’s probably one of the smartest and most instinctive runners I’ve seen. I mean, maybe, but he did just get blasted and suffer a concussion while running just a few weeks ago..If he learns from it and gets down before taking contact then fantastic.
  18. Looks like Milano will be inactive Sunday.
  19. I see Wilson as a smart runner and I’m not sure what one has to do with the other.
  20. So basically, she’s bitter that she wasn’t given the money and lifestyle she was allegedly promised?
  21. Allen is a stubborn runner and looks to get that extra few yards and in the process can take some pretty brutal hits. I wouldn’t want to put him in a position where he’s getting hit. If Allen can keep being smart and get down or out of bounds without getting then it wouldn’t be a big deal. Until that happens I’ll cringe a little each time he takes off with the ball.
  22. I’ll just come out and say it. I hate the designed runs for Allen. I think Daboll calls them too much.
  23. I tend to usually find these lawsuits suspect. Why wasn’t he ever arrested and why is she trying to get paid now? Obviously we don’t know but if her lawyer went to Brown trying to settle before the suit was filed then he must feel confident about his defense.
  24. I haven’t looked up California’s laws but either she refused to press charges when she called the police or they did not believe there was enough evidence to prosecute it themselves.
