  1. Thought I'd pass along, for some fun, some verbatim comments from my Saints fan friend. On the commish's hand slaps to the draftees: "Watching that sanctimonious hyprocrite do anything is painful for this Saints fan. I hope he gets hit by a f-ing bus on Park Ave." On whether or not Saints fans needed a hug like the ones he was giving to draftees: "No thanks. I'd settle for him simply producing publicly the evidence of where the team paid a bounty and also knocked a player out a game." I'm afraid to ask him what he thinks about this development.
  2. Imagine the possibilities. Stevie Johnson in the back of a pickup on the left. Freddie Jackson sitting on the goalposts... We'd be unstoppable.
  3. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/eeca4e7ae6/vince-young-for-towels VY for towels.
  4. You sayin he's smarter than Mitt Romney? Just a joke. Someone confused VY for Mike Vick. The reference was about Roethlisberger and Plaxico.
  5. I personally will never forgive VY for what he did to that college girl in Georgia. Then there was that time he shot himself in the leg.
  6. Didn't he strap his dogs on the roof of his mini van?
  7. I'm glad they're giving him a workout. If he's better than Thigpen, which he probably is, then sign him...if we're sure there won't be any QB controversy drama. He has a history of controversy, as well as a questionable work ethic, and I never want to see any episode ala Johnson-Flutie. The Bills, to me, are a stable team of likable guys. I worry that Young could be a harbinger of said drama but I'm also willing to keep an open mind. And just to temper some of the posts I've seen here, and especially elsewhere about him unseating Fitz and even winning us a SB (just saw that one), the guy was cut... for Trent Edwards.
  8. Throw in Tim Tebow's soul and you'd have one fine QB.
  9. I thought VY was a good idea until I just thought of that. Egad.
  10. 5th round pick Tank Carder, a former BMX champion who was told he'd never walk who hits like a...tank...and his name is Tank: 1 thread, 88 replies. 7th round pick John Potter, a guy who...kicks a lot of touchbacks: 2 threads, 103 replies. Make that 104.
  11. "You can never have enough kickers." -Buddy Nix
  12. No. 2 WR definitely. We have a slew of talented No. 3s and 4s, but we missed the boat on a someone who could draw double coverage. This Graham pick is a mystery. Fitz needs a guy who can get deep AND pull in inaccurate throws. Unless Easley turns out to be that guy, I see us struggling stretching the field vertically. Other than that, mighty good draft. Our O line should be something special. I think Nigel Bradham will be a regular rotational player within a few games, and will be an impact kind of guy. Can't wait to see Tank Carder play. And we got better in our secondary, which was already decent. Only other concern is backup QB. If Fitz played with broken ribs last season, I got to think our backup QB situation is pretty bad, although I wouldn't know, because Thigpen never played.
  13. You mean the guy we sacked 12 times in one game?
  14. Brutal hit. And totally clean. Horrible, horrible call.
  15. 36 tackles? If he gains a few pounds, I say plug him in at linebacker.
  16. Or maybe he's in training to be a human statue.
  17. As one poster said, it looks like a Madden glitch.
  18. I heard he ran the 40 in infinity.
  19. It's a good pick, but this clip is pretty funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHqrcXFnXbM&feature=related
  20. Too funny. Most Buffalonians move south, and most Bills move north.
  21. I'm reserving judgment. He could very well be a phenom. From the videos I've seen of him, however, it doesn't appear he will be a regular down player. He's a burner, but doesn't seem to have the skills to draw in the inaccurate deep balls Fitzy will likely throw. He also doesn't appear to have the frame to withstand regular shorter inside routes. I could be wrong, which I hope I am. Buddy said he wanted a big, physical AND fast receiver. He got just one of those traits in Graham, and it appears this guy would have been there later. I'm not pretending to know more than the brass--I clearly don't--but this pick is nonetheless a puzzler. Let's hope it turns into a pleasant puzzle.
  22. Still no explanation. Good lord, we traded up for a guy people were saying was a 7th rounder. It's a legit question. Not saying he's bad. Just want some insight.
  23. I need someone smarter than I am to explain why we traded up to draft a guy no one--not even a poster who lives near NC State--has ever heard of.
  24. I heard from someone who really knows that he's fast. ... Bizarre pick.
