  1. All these haters listen up: You can't spell "win" without "Wide Receiver Martin Ruvell."
  2. I thought we all agreed to call him Martin Ruvell.
  3. Ugh. A malcontent on the wrong side of 30? No thanks. I'll take Mario, though. Have no idea if we can afford him. But I hope so!
  4. I agree. We are not the worst team in the league year in and year out. We are the most consistently mediocre team in the league year in and year out. No two-win seasons since 2000, and only one below four. No 10 win seasons either, and only one above eight. I'd be hard-pressed to find a more mediocre team than the Buffalo Bills. Not good enough to make the playoffs. And not bad enough to get top draft picks.
  5. What an insulting article. Has the writer ever been to Jacksonville? It's a scrub town with no identity and the worst fans in the league. I'd pick the good people and rabid fans of Buffalo any day of the week over the Jacksonville fanbase. And how is Cleveland any better?
  6. I'm a big fan of getting this guy. But I think most of us can agree that it won't change our franchise unless we get two serious pass rushers and improve our O line. If these things happen, the Bills will be playing in January for a change.
  7. Point taken. It's fixed!
  8. Hopefully, the maker of the fortune cookie didn't cut the message down from the following: "Your sports team will be very successful this year duping you into thinking it's making the playoffs, causing great excitement and jubilation, only at the last minute to crush your proud heart into a barely-beating mass of bloody pulp like it has year after year."
  9. Quite articulate. Please back up things like "no thanks" when a poster has a somewhat-logical point. No thanks...VJ's downfield speed isn't what it used to be? No thanks...VJ's playing style wouldn't compliment Gailey's spread system? No thanks...he's just too damn good and as a Bills fan unfairly subjected to years of mediocrity, I can't take thinking about the possibility of having a game-changing offense?
  10. If he's healthy, he will be a DE.
  11. Whitey13: The franchise long snapper has been the one missing key over all these years. Every fan, except for you, fully understands this.
  12. A treasure trove of info. Wow.
  13. Bills fans are the Patty Hearsts of the NFL world. Good one!
  14. Seems there's little debate over whether a QB we'd never get, Eli Manning, would be better behind center in Buffalo than Fitz. Despite some animated exchanges on TBD concerning this moot point, the consensus seems to be Eli. But what if you add broken ribs AND an STD to the equation?
  15. You're welcome. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x761km_about-schmidt-jacuzzi-scene-the-mov_shortfilms
  16. Kate Upton.
  17. If Kathy Bates gave me the clap, I'd sue her for $10,000 and use the proceeds to take Kate Upton on a date or, if that didn't work, buy a used Escalade. Really, y'all, no one was comparing Fitz to Kathy Bates and Eli to Kate Upton before he won his second Superbowl. He was lambasted last year, and all of a sudden is cemented in HOFer status. He was surrounded by elite talent. Fitz was not. These guys don't win Superbowls in vacuums.
  18. I think his parents punched random keys on a keyboard. Wallah...Vontaze Burfict.
  19. Makes him look younger, more distinguished...and tougher...all at the same time. Championship.
  20. The guy seems to have a lot of weird run-ins with law enforcement.
  21. A breakdown: - Low spenders (Above $30 m cap): 3 playoff teams - Average spenders ($10 m to $30 m): 4 playoff teams, including the AFC champion - High spenders (Below $10 m): 5 playoff teams, including the Superbowl winner Spread of teams in these categories is between 10 and 11 each, so it appears there is most definitely a strong correlation between making the playoffs and spending big and not making the playoffs and not spending big. Also, two of the four teams (50 percent) that spent too much went to the playoffs, including the Superbowl winner. Not shocking, but interesting to see some statistical evidence.
  22. Stats are important but I don't think they tell it all. No one is saying SJ is Calvin Johnson or Brandon Marshall or AJ Greene. And several of those guys on the list had Superbowl quarterbacks throwing to them. His ability to get open even against the best corners in the league is uncanny. (He obviously needs to improve his receiving ability in the clutch). And he played last season injured on an already gimpy team. With more talent around him, and a healthier team, he'll likely break the top 10. I hope it's for us. Bottom line, Buffalo will have to pay more money to keep players like Johnson, who I believe likes the city of Buffalo but who also wouldn't mind playing in sunny California.
