  1. But it's only 3:53 New Orleans time.
  2. My one wish is that Mario gets fed well. If he leaves WNY without at least some prime rib, I'll be ticked. In all seriousness, nice scoop Mr. OP.
  3. Relax y'all--this happened like 8 minutes ago. If it's true, it will come shortly. Wikipedia has him as a Bill, for what it's worth.
  4. Here it is. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/55084/bucs-lose-potential-competitor-for-jackson
  5. 10-6 and a playoff is success. 10-6 with no playoffs is just progress. If a tough crowd is watching your team play for over a decade with no postseason, and not being overjoyed just because it pulled off a winning season, then I'm a tough crowd. Loyal fans deserve better IMHO.
  6. Playoffs or bust for me. It's doable: NE is old. NJ is dependent on Sanchez. Mia doesn't know what it wants to be. We have a weaker schedule than normal. And... It's been 12 agonizing seasons of not watching them in January.
  7. Agree. But I will add that no playoffs next season will be a failure. I think we should have been playing meaningful games last December.
  8. We have good players already. We need a game changer...or two. So if we can only get one, I'd say Mario Williams. Rather have him and a VJ or Colsten, though.
  9. It's going to take at least 9 wins to prevent an uprising after 12 years of no playoffs. I don't see the Bills not having a winning season--Nix and Gailey after three years are at that point when they have to turn things around or else. Seems like we're keeping most of our core intact, and if we get a solid No. 2 WR, a stud DE, a solid OT and some depth, I don't think 11 wins are out of the question, especially considering the (at least now) weaker division opponents and the fact that we started off so hot last season before the injuries.
  10. He won't be going to an NFC team. And Manning wouldn't fit with the Jets' style. I can most definitely see him, unfortunately, in a Dolphins uniform. Can also see him in KC. Houston is another option. My bet is on the Fins.
  11. Wow. I like SJ. Hope his recruiting pays off. I wonder if it's a pipe dream to also hope for VJ and Mario Williams. That would be too good to believe. Imagine having those positions stored up, allowing us to focus on O line, linebacker and depth at the draft! We could even draft Tannehill if we got WR and DE playmakers in FA. I'll be happy, though, with just one big FA signing at WR or DE.
  12. It's nice to see the Bills having continuity. Chandler will hit his prime next season. Now I'm hungry for more good news. Mario? VJ? Yes please. The Bills' previous 12 years strategy of nurturing young talent only to trade them and signing no-name depth players in FA have not panned out. Let's keep the players we like, and go big on a couple FA stars. It's so simple it sounds stupid, yet the Bills have done just the opposite year in and year out. Chandler, welcome back buddy. It's nice to actually have a tight end.
  13. Thanks NickelCity. I don't think he'll make the roster, either--he was terrible, at least as a receiver. I have no knowledge of his ST play. But I must say MaRu hasn't done anything to earn a nickname like RuvMart. He needs to catch a ball first.
  14. All these haters listen up: You can't spell "win" without "Wide Receiver Martin Ruvell."
  15. I thought we all agreed to call him Martin Ruvell.
  16. Ugh. A malcontent on the wrong side of 30? No thanks. I'll take Mario, though. Have no idea if we can afford him. But I hope so!
  17. I agree. We are not the worst team in the league year in and year out. We are the most consistently mediocre team in the league year in and year out. No two-win seasons since 2000, and only one below four. No 10 win seasons either, and only one above eight. I'd be hard-pressed to find a more mediocre team than the Buffalo Bills. Not good enough to make the playoffs. And not bad enough to get top draft picks.
  18. What an insulting article. Has the writer ever been to Jacksonville? It's a scrub town with no identity and the worst fans in the league. I'd pick the good people and rabid fans of Buffalo any day of the week over the Jacksonville fanbase. And how is Cleveland any better?
  19. I'm a big fan of getting this guy. But I think most of us can agree that it won't change our franchise unless we get two serious pass rushers and improve our O line. If these things happen, the Bills will be playing in January for a change.
  20. Point taken. It's fixed!
  21. Hopefully, the maker of the fortune cookie didn't cut the message down from the following: "Your sports team will be very successful this year duping you into thinking it's making the playoffs, causing great excitement and jubilation, only at the last minute to crush your proud heart into a barely-beating mass of bloody pulp like it has year after year."
  22. Quite articulate. Please back up things like "no thanks" when a poster has a somewhat-logical point. No thanks...VJ's downfield speed isn't what it used to be? No thanks...VJ's playing style wouldn't compliment Gailey's spread system? No thanks...he's just too damn good and as a Bills fan unfairly subjected to years of mediocrity, I can't take thinking about the possibility of having a game-changing offense?
  23. If he's healthy, he will be a DE.
  24. Whitey13: The franchise long snapper has been the one missing key over all these years. Every fan, except for you, fully understands this.
  25. A treasure trove of info. Wow.
