9/23/24 GAMEDAY Bills vs Jaguars MNF PREGAME THREAD
Livinginthepast replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope for nothing less than a complete beatdown of the Jags. Too many losses to these guys in the last few years but not just normal losses. The Playoff game and the Urban Meyer loss. The two horrendous losses in London. I was actually at the Jim Kelly's last game in 96, a loss in the playoffs to Jacksonville of course! Can we finally pound these guys? -
I used to watch the games alone. Then in an act of really bad karma , I passed on the curse of being a Bills fan to my two sons. Now I usually watch with them and embarrass myself by ranting and raving at the Tv set when something Billsy takes place or the inevitable bad luck or incompetent officiating surfaces. My wife has no interest in being a Bills fan and in fact does not like who I morph into during those 3 hours! So we watch from the basement TV far away from earshot!

Yes that was huge problem for Cousins most of the night but a good OC adjusts with a quick passing game and running north south . Instead the Falcons kept doing that terrible hitch screen and lateral runs even after they failed repeatedly.

Just finished watching the Chiefs game from last night. KC has officially become the Brady Pats where they have the experience and just do what it takes to win on offense and then wait for the opposition to choke the game away. Two trips in the red zone for Atlanta at the end of the game and the Falcons O coordinator dials up the worst plays in the playbook and they lose. Spagnulo is a great defensive coach but it really helps when the opposing offense crumbles.

Flashback EJ manual comeback drive

Accurate take. It makes me shudder to think of those times and the bumbling incompetence of our management. We had bad luck on some picks, but others were exactly as predicted by the experts (mediocre) and we still took them. Others might have been improved by a great coach or system but we had neither. -
Nice to see the Eagles and Siriani lose. Nothing about them has seemed authentic to me in the past two years. The Bills losing to them last year because of the refs and the blunders was one of the most irritating games in the season. Cousins is a strange one to behold. He still looks pretty good, even great as an NFL QB at times but other times is decidedly ordinary!

A small part of the Chiefs secret sauce.

A team that wins it all just once gets that forever boost going forward. KC just has that confidence that most teams don't possess because of this. This is what kills me about the Bills never getting over the hump in the 90s. Had they won the first SB, all of the others are different. The Chiefs elevated themselves and now never doubt themselves. By contrast, every team facing Mahomes in the last 2 minutes, just tightens up and this just increases the chances of a bone headed error like yesterday. -
It was definitely PI but it may not have been called, but the headshot sealed the deal!

One of the best INTS Ive ever seen followed by a really clumsy fumble by Burrow. Chiefs have a perpetual horseshoe stuck in their posteriors.

He has looked very similar since half way last season to Norwood in the season after the wide right. That was Norwood's last with the Bills . -

How is it McDaniels looked greasier and more dishevelled than last year? -

I thought the same thing when I saw the replay. It was a clean hit and although Tua's head looked bad, I did a double take on the helmet hitting Hamlin in the chest!
