  1. Kinda impressive/sad that a veteran player who has been sitting on the couch for months makes the best ,most impressive tackle of the game for our defense. It was rough and aggressive but clean tackle. Just the kind of tackle to rough up Burrow. Its too bad that the rest of the defense couldnt get a sniff on sacking Burrow in that game. He looked far too comfortable all night!
  2. The Peterman decision was the most bizarre of the McD era. To think that McD actually based his decision on the fact that Peterman was a nice guy or good Christian and not on skill, readiness or possible game intelligence makes it even more perplexing. 13 seconds though is the by far the most telling failure of the McD era. Not squib kicking the KO and the defense that was called against Mahomes was insane. Now in 2023 we are faced with a tough situation caused by injuries and compounded by inept coaching and game management (Dorsey and McD himself). Does anyone trust McD to fire Dorsey who has proven himself not up to the job? or trust him and his defense to make a stop with the game on the line against good teams (like last Sunday)? I have no faith in him any more. The only positive I can see is if the players win for the team because they are going to have to do it on their own. The coaches dont make it easier for them to do it, they make it harder.
  3. What an awful mess. If he's innocent and wasnt even present when the acts occurred then its a total injustice.
  4. As insane as that sounds , you might be right. But with the benefit of a 2nd look showing no pressure on Allen why would anyone in the booth or NYC alert the on field officials?
  5. TBH I always thought that the Bills could win a SB DESPITE their coaches. I thought over the last 4 years that they have the talent to overcome the incompetence of their coaches and even the bad officiating of the NFL. However the last 2 years have shaken that faith. McD overall has a good steadying philosophy as a coach but he has two big flaws. 1. He is inconsistent in his ability to prepare teams for big games. I dont know how anyone could trust him in a SB. 2. He makes a lot of bad in game decisions in close games. 13 seconds is the best example but there have been way too many other smaller ones in his tenure on challenges etc that have been poorly thought out. Unfortunately, I think these two flaws are fatal and my original premise that they have the talent to overcome them is over optimistic.
  6. Araiza's civil trial wont be until February next year. So he will have to wait until then to have any chance of an NFL comeback. There's a good chance that he will be exonerated at that trial too.
  7. I was all on board the fire Frazier train for his bend bend and do the limbo but dont break defense for most of last year. But now that McD has taken over our defense is now has done the exact same thing in 2 of our wins as Frazier's and just snapped and broken in 3 of our losses. As to the Schwartz idea, there was a snowball's chance in hell that was going to happen with McD. There is no way that his ego or stubborn control streak would allow that. Too bad though, Schwartz is an excellent D coordinator and beloved by his defensive squads. One of my only highlights of the Bill's drought years is Schwartz being carried by his players much to St.Doug's chagrin!
  8. That Chargers pass rush! Wow. Thats how you rattle a mediocre QB,
  9. The Chargers should be up 21-28 to 0 but Herbert looks geriatric trying to evade a pass rush.
  10. I said this last night. I've been watching the NFL for 44 years. 1000's of games and never seen such a ridiculous call. That's the kind of imaginary foul that gets people yapping about the NFL being fixed. They literally felt the need to invent a foul. The worst part of this for me was the geniuses in that officiating crew actually thought about it before throwing the flag. At that point, the eye in the sky should have discreetly told the head ref, "pick up the flag thats not even close to the rule". But no the imbeciles run with their imaginary foul. NFL a $Billion league with amateur quality officiating.
  11. This is true. We were never forcing any turnover last night and because our Dbs were so far off the ball on pass coverage, we weren't ever going to force an INT. The Bengals were never made to feel uncomfortable because they were in the lead for most of the game so there was no sense of panic or urgency to their game. I dont like Burrow but I have to admit, his approach of being calm and methodical dissected us last night. Having pretty good pass protection also helped. It seemed to me that the Bengals line is really good at pushing the blitz to one side so Burrow could escape.
  12. I find it funny that WGR used to use the slogan "not the company line" about the Bills. Those days are long over.
  13. I've seen enough with Dorsey to know what he is. A lot of people dont think its a good idea to fire a coordinator mid season. Normally I would agree but the situation with Dorsey has become so bad that I think the time has come to do it. Dorsey has had 1 really good game this season and is now an impediment to this team. He has lost the room for the offensive team. I dont think they respect him as a strategist or an in game decision maker. Aside from the Miami game, I think the Bills victories have been down to Allen going off script and deviating from Dorsey's playbook. Dorsey has taken away the best qualities of Allen, effectively neutering him. Even a mid season replacement cannot be as bad as what Dorsey has become.
  14. My favorite play of the game on offense? Dorsey bizarrely calling a reverse flea flicker where Josh threw it to noone. I've been screaming for these types of gadget plays all season because I think this offensive team has the skills to execute them. But last night's play was an embarrassment. It almost looked like the Bills blew it on purpose. Maybe this is a stretch but I'm seriously wondering if the Bills offensive players are now rebelling against Dorsey to get him fired. Josh kind of threw some shade on him at the post game press conference.
  15. No this game was Billsy. 1. One of your best players fumbling at a crucial stage? Billsy! 2.A coach wasting a timeout on a very hard to overturn playcall because his incompetent spotters in the booth told him to, Billsy. 3. Having 10 days off to prepare for a team that humiliated you in the playoffs and then doing pretty much the same game plan to start the game? Billsy! 4. A defense that gives up a 32 yard play with the game on the line? Billsy! 5. A game where the refs invent the stupidest penalties and not calling the most obvious ones against your opponents? Billsy! And that is just what I can remember off the top of my head. The Bills will be Billsy until they finally win a SB and possibly might still be afterward. Its our cross to bear as fans!
  16. How embarrassing is this list. 3 teams with mediocre talent (NYJ, Browns, Steelers) ahead of us. But based on the Bills propensity to play down to their opponents its richly deserved. How many times does this team need to look in a mirror and man up?
  17. Dorsey is like a teen driver learning stick shift on a Corvette. He rides the clutch, grinds the gears and doesnt know when to change them. He occasionally makes it to 3rd gear and builds up some speed but stalls the car just as much. He doesnt know what to do with the power and quality he has so he drives extra cautiously.
  18. Good point. I thought in the playoff game vs KC after the 13 secs that they should have onside kicked it to start overtime. But that would have required a coach with ingenuity and balls of steel. McD has neither.
  19. Ive watched football religiously since the 1979 season. I have never seen an intentional grounding call where there was no pressure on the QB ever. Its literally one of the worst calls I've ever seen and took 3 points off the board potentially. Yes they still probably lose this game but these officials were pathetic.
  20. Bills have too many injuries to people who were game changers. Josh is obviously injured worse than we know and the coaches are not smart enough to work with what they have on offense or defense. They cannot win close games and they definitely cannot overcome the terrible officiating. I really hope I'm wrong but this season feels lost.
  21. Josh Norman was held so he couldnt get to the Bengals player after Von missed the tackle!
  22. No pass rush and a 5 yard cushion on zone on one of the plays if the game. Dbs that never have an idea where the ball is.
  23. I dont think thats a strength of his either.
  24. Either way Dorsey has a lot of time to plan the next play. Expect a masterpiece!
  25. Not enough to overturn IMO buy if there was any justice, these refs should give it to us.
