The Bills dont have the smarts or the cojones on the team or the coaches to win close games especially when the refs screw them over. That being said the incompetent officiating wont be fixed until a coach can challenge a bad call or non call like they do on other plays. This system works in the CFL and doesnt slow things down.
Taking Josh's running out of the game plan is absolutely moronic. Now defenses sit back in coverage and our Average O line doesnt protect Josh enough for him to pass let alone blow up enough people on run schemes. Its as if a spy from other teams is now on the Bills coaching staff giving bad advice to kill us from the inside. Or maybe its the "brilliance" of Ken Dorsey who has chosen to disconnect some of the fuel injectors from the Bills engine.
Pass rush was completely ineffective today which is a huge key to the loss. Jones as witnessed by his whining to the refs throughout the game is a QB that get rattled and loses his cool easily but the Bills never really made him sweat and barely touched him throughout the game. Even at the end of the game with the pressure on Jones was comfortable in the pocket and even when he fumbled the Bills were penalized, so it didn't matter. Yes the D was undermanned but some of the rushing schemes on defense and the soft coverages that didnt confuse Jones at all were very poor and thats on McD.
Sure I get that, but they're not doing ANY of this stuff at all in games and the misdirection plays also seem to be at a minimum. Deception and disguise seem to have evaporated the from the playcalling. The question is why?
Nothing even that radical, A reverse, a fake reverse, a half back option, a flea flicker, the RB option that throws back to Josh (done successfully twice by Daboll). Any of these plays thrown into a game would be great to see.
