  1. Called a blindside when he had at least a second of FULL eye contact with the supposedly blindsided player. Absolutely game changing call by the worst officials in pro sports!!
  2. That was wimpy D on that drive. Should have snuffed them out.
  3. The Raiders in 1980 was a team that got on a roll and peaked at the perfect time. They truly were a team of destiny. I often look at the 2000 Ravens in the same way. But the Ravens had one of the best, most clutch defenses ever and the overachieving Trent Dilfer at QB (the ultimate game manager). The perfect scenario is for the Bills to catch fire and be underestimated by their competition and then become giant killers.
  4. The whole Foster is useful on ST's bit I can somewhat agree with it but in the end how does that trump the Duke Williams as a better WR idea? Foster may be decent at covering kicks but as a whole our ST's have given up a few big returns and had several breakdowns in punt protection that have resulted in negative plays. If we were a top ST's unit with no returns for TDs, and no blocks etc or if Foster was a great return man and had some TDs that swung the game in our favor I could get behind that. But to be honest his effect on the game being on the ST's in negligible. I think Duke has a far greater potential upside than Foster and most importantly would have had a much bigger effect in some of the games we lost this year had he been played.
  5. Glanville was an arrogant coach! Its always nice in sport or in life in general to see an ahole get their comeuppance but Glanville got in such an epic way!
  6. At the time it seemed like a mild risk for a significant reward. Nobody could have foreseen how useless Benjamin was and how bad his attitude seemed to be. In the end it cost us a 3rd round pick and we cut our losses on KB pretty quick.
  7. I was there too and you are absolutely right. When Kelly left the field with an injury, it was as if all hope left the stadium. When the Jags went up by a FG and Collins came in, there wasn't enough time or any belief left in the BIlls.
  8. This makes perfect sense. But that's exactly why Mcd and Daboll wont do it!
  9. Finally an answer to the question!! The smoking gun has been found!!
  10. Duke had the kind of game that we all knew he could have if given the chance. He had some nice grabs, a couple of drops (one was bad) and a couple of lousy throws that he couldn't get to He made a real contribution. I don't think anyone who is a Duke fan was ever arguing that he would be anything but a #3 receiver on this team. The decision to make him inactive was plain stupid. He can make a difference and gives Josh another option that the other receivers don't. He deserves to play next week but of course logic hasn't really been a strongpoint so far for these coaches and Duke so I will not hold my breath.
  11. Stick a fork in it...this awful mess of a game is done!
  12. he is a real Fickener that Ficken let me tell you!
  13. laying off the receiver by 5yds on the goal line is not always the best idea.
  14. I was expecting a Rob Johnson vs Indy performance from Barkley leading to the Pegulas insisting that he start in the playoffs! Yeah I know, what kind of pro sports franchise would ever do that!
  15. The media forced Mcd to explain playing Peterman to the detriment of the team and they have always at least inquired about player decisions (good or bad). So why the non explanation of Duke's inactivity. If its not a big deal then just address it. its a little strange to simply drop a player who is productive when asked to be, replace him with players that aren't that productive and keep the player inactive. I think its pretty good question which the local media seem to be afraid to ask.
  16. Once again there is no explanation in the article as to why Duke was left out of the most of these games.
  17. There are only 2 things I truly remember about this awful season. 1. The Thanksgiving turkey that the Bills served up vs Detroit where they got embarrassed. 2. After the Bills were eliminated from playoff contention, the almost national celebration by Bills haters that we wouldn't be going back to ruin another SB . For me I can remember the disappointment that we had 4 chances to win a SB and we blew it. Although we did come back in 1995 and we were 1 win away from the AFC championship, it was never really the same.
  18. Do my eyes deceive me?? Can it be true? is Duke active this Sunday?!! https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2019/12/battles-with-tre-white-have-buffalo-bills-duke-williams-ready-to-bring-nasty-vs-jets.html
  19. I was in 2nd year university and watched the game at my apartment on my HUGE 19" TV with my disinterested GF and her even more disinterested visiting little sister and rotund boyfriend. They played cards throughout. The whole game I was losing my mind at how bad the Bills were playing. I swore, I shouted , I slammed my hands on anything close by, I paced the room like a caged animal. I started to get hope when they came around in the 2nd half. I thought for sure on the final drive that they would score a TD and was shocked that the drive ran out of gas and time when it did. When the kick sailed wide, for what seemed like an eternity I froze in horror then crumpled to the floor in disbelief. Hoping I would hear that there was a flag or something on the Giants. But it was not to be. I can still remember the other people in the room looking at me strangely, like "why is he so upset". They had absolutely no idea of the utter devastation of the moment for me. Even now so many years later it ranks as one of the worst moments of my life. I always wonder, how would life have been different had that kick been good. I know that might seem like a ridiculous statement as its just a game etc but I still wonder about that!
