  1. That’s the problem with Twitter. Any twit can interpret “quarantine” as meaning headache, cough, paralysis, fever or death. For all we know he is asymptomatic. If so, is he “sick”?
  2. Are you following a particular driver/team?
  3. How many will what? Die? or test positive?
  4. I can't make it to Home Depot this week...I'm watching the "death ticker" on CNN and have $100 on the overs for elderly, diabetics and children learning shapes and colors. (I figured I'd draft your response for you because this is how emotionally charged, uber intelligent folks view anyone who might see things differently)
  5. My wife as well.
  6. @Seasons1992 OUCH!!!
  7. Thanks for the advice. So ear plugs are a must? Do you prefer sitting along the curves or the long stretches? I didn't realize that...add the standard transmission and there's a lot of ***** going on in the car.
  8. The point (again) is let's see how these 14 players fare with the virus. Will they recover from the symptoms quickly? Will they feel no symptoms at all? Will they require hospitalization? Again, 14 positive cases is just that...positive cases. At some point, the phrase "positive case" has been modified to mean "death sentence, morgues, tractor trailer coolers for dead bodies, lung scarring, fetus death".
  9. Sorry to hear about your Mom and relatives. Not sure how you interpreted what I said into me thinking COVID is a hoax. But 14 players test positive and someone upthread inferred these athletes and support staff will have permanent lung scarring. Shouldn't we wait to see if any are hospitalized (or get headaches, rapid heart beat, etc.) before sounding the alarm on sports?
  10. You just hit the nail on the head. Positive cases does not equate to hospitalization/death/lung scarring/runny nose/headache/or any other manifestation of the virus thrown out there.
  11. @Seasons1992 Do you think there is a preferred spot to sit at the track? I was looking at tix in the final curve before the finish line. Up high or down low?
  12. I realize the racing season is already in full swing. Planning on attending a race in Sept or October. Either Bristol Speedway in TN, Martinsville in VA or Charlotte Speedway in October. I am a "newbie" to NASCAR but from what I've seen in the past few months, there's quite a bit of strategy involved. These guys are in great shape (not sure I call them athletes) but their heart rate goes up to 150 during races, endurance is a must, and there's quite a bit of physics involved. Still learning. Anyway, despite the whole incident with the rope and the belief that only rednecks/ racists enjoy NASCAR, do any of you guys follow the sport? I assume there are many who enjoy it on TV but don't want to attend a race. I figure it's something I should do just to experience the environment and watch the cars in real life (going 190mph +) Any favorite drivers? Favorite owners? Anything I should look for when I go? Go Bills!

  16. Personally, I always look to sell the roof over my head when I’m unstable. But that’s just me.
  17. Is "comma abuse" a topic that belongs in this thread?
  18. Had we drafted Russ Wilson we would have missed out on the acrobatic catches of TJ Graham (the only WR I’ve ever seen jump three feet in the air to attempt catching a ball thrown at his shins).
  19. Remind me not to have you draft my team when I own the Buffalo Grain Mills (post name change)
  20. So I should just disregard the six hours I spent reading PFF for the last three weeks telling me where he’ll sign? Ugh. I thought he “narrowed his choices” down to the Ravens, Bucs and Seahawks? Prediction: He comes out of “retirement” by Sept 10 and publishes a short list of teams “he’ll play for”.
  21. @Gugny usually hits 50-60% on most things. This was a clear miss.
  22. Polly Klaas was having a slumber party in 1993 at her Petaluma, Ca home, when a strange man holding a knife entered her bedroom, tied up all the girls and put pillow cases over their heads. The intruder then kidnapped Polly, raped her, killed her, and discarded her body off of the side of the freeway hidden under a piece of plywood. Her body was not found for two months. This POS left an impression on me when I listened to his sentencing back in the 90's. When asked by the Judge if he had anything to say, he responded: ''I would also like to state for the record that the main reason I know that I did not attempt any lewd act that night was because of a statement the young girl made to me while walking her up the embankment: ''Just don't do me like Dad.' ''
  23. Some of the most heartfelt and profound speeches/poems of our age were a re-hash of four or five phrases drafted by behind-the-scenes handlers (agents, union reps, etc.). I’m glad you agree. I always knew you and I shared the same viewpoint. Thanks for confirming it.
  24. Funny how almost every one of those Tweets uses the same words/phrases. It’s like they were given four or five catch phrases and told to send the message out. Must be a coincidence.
