  1. Not a good start but its early. They haven't generated much of a running game though. That is a concern.
  2. I feel the same way but the Bills are watchable this season. Most of the past seasons that has not been true. I live in Southern California and the Chargers have been painful to watch as well.
  3. There is no excuse for the loss today. It starts with Marrone and his coaches for not shutting the door on the Falcons. It ends with the players not making plays. This year is a loss but I feel like there is some hope for the future. There are some good players picked up from this years draft. Still too many holes though.
  4. I agree it was pass interference. When they showed the replay it was clear. It wasn't that play. It was the way they let Atlanta drive 65 yards with the game on the line that sickens me. If you watched the Houston/New England game the Patriots shut down Houston on their last drive. Plan and simple that is what winning teams do. They win.
  5. That was exactly what I thought after his fumble. This guy just isn't dependable. He isn't a playmaker. Chandler isn't either but we already knew that. When is the last time you have seen two fumbles caused by the defender puching the ball out of their arms. I figured ball carriers were taught to protect the ball in Pop Warner. Its a team loss, I blame everyone including Marrone.
  6. Yada, yada, yada, he is one of the best in the league and should be paid like it. The Bills can pull another Marshawn Lynch and trade him for some fourth round pick that won't add any value to the team or pay him to be their Free Safety. That just opens another hole in the lineup that needs to be filled. The guy is a playmaker. Playmakers are hard to find. The Bills need playmakers.
  7. The blue pants are hideous. Thats just the way it is. Go back to the throwback uniforms of the 60's or even the uniforms of the 90's. White pants. Those uniforms looked good.
  8. I was born in Rochester. My family moved to San Diego in 1960, when I was five. I remember them taking us to see the San Diego Chargers play the Bills in old Balboa Stadium each season when the Bills came west. You could go to the game for $1 if you had a Huddle Club card. I guess my roots are in upstate New York even though I hardly lived there. I have followed the Bills since the 60's. I do root for the Chargers but believe they are almost as disfunctional. My heart is with the Bills and it always will be, but it isn't easy.
  9. What team have you been watching. I usually say this more than twice a week. This game was a big letdown. The offense was better the last few weeks without EJ. This season is done. Maybe they can put some things together the next few weeks but this game showed how far this team is from making the playoffs.
  10. Whether EJ is a franchise QB remains to be seen. This team reminds me of the one from 1987 when the team was young and lost so many close games. You have to admit the defense is getting better and more consistent each week, especially since so many injured players are coming back. When I watched todays game and it was three and out for the Chiefs on their first series I never worried much the rest of the game. Its the offense that is hard to watch. Too many missed chances, too many dropped passes, too many bone head interceptions or fumbles. If EJ is the man then there should be some wins in the next seven games. There are a lot of players drafted this year who are making contributions. I think the future may be bright. We will see.
  11. I think Lewis did an adequate job for a backup QB but look at how the points were scored. A pick six, a TD on a short field and a 38 yard drive for a field goal. Their longest drive was 72 yards and it ended with another field goal. If the defense didn't get the turnover late the Bills would not have won today. They had little consistency on offense. EJ is the starter and they need to see where he can take this team.
  12. At the time I didn't like the decision to go for the touchdown. I would have taken the points. Thinking about Greg Williams and Dick Jauron though makes me laugh thinking that the Bills were able to allow them to reach the level of this incompetency. It kind of fits. The Bills seem to not make the right decision more times than not.
  13. I think they were too quick to throw Tuel under the bus. If Lewis plays like he did against Detroit in the preseason the Bills are in trouble. Even good defense can't hold up when its three and out by the offense.
  14. after watching the video of the Lions game I can't believe Lewis will prove to be better than EJ. Even Tuel was better in the preseason than Lewis. Yikes!!!
  15. If the reason to sign another quarterback was to just fill in until EJ comes back then they should have found a veteran. WIth that said even that might not have made a difference. Good old Fitz choked again today against KC. When the Chiefs took the lead in the 4th quarter Fitz threw two interceptions on the next to Titans drives. Sounds familiar. The next few games could get ugly. Even with players coming back from injury to help the defense the offense may stink so bad the defense just gets worn down.
  16. Up tempo may work if you can move the ball but the Jets were still making substitutions. Isn't it supposed to keep the defense from making substitutions? The offense looked lost all day. What a disaster.
  17. The game was hard to watch. The score was closer than it should have been. There was never the feeling the offense could move the ball. I put the blame on the coaching. They didn't have answers on either side of the ball and the team wasn't ready to play. Manuel looked lost. Disappointed is an understatement.
  18. These three points are on Marrone. Poor clock management running the hurryup in the last two minutes with third and long.
  19. My only gripe with Lindell was he wasn't consistent over 50 yards.
  20. I just paid my Directv bill and they haven't started the auto renewal charges yet. I'll wait to see how the Bills do in the pre-season before I commit. Then if I decide to go for it I will call and play the "Bills Stink" card, which has worked every year for the past 13. Let the discounts roll!
  21. This team has too many needs to spend a pick on a QB. We need impact players on defense and a wide receiver who can open up the passing game. Whether Kolb is the QB of the future remains to be seen. It seems like a lot of money was spent on Kolb so the assumption has to be he is the man for this season. .
  22. I think Buddy should be based every chance we get. How can this team have so many holes to fill after three years of his regime. We should be adding the final pieces needed for a run deep in the playoffs by now. Buddy should be bashed and so should the rest of the front office until they produce a team that can win on a regular basis and complete with the best teams in the NFL.
  23. If Russ Brandon was just joining the team I would give him a pass but this guy has been involved in the Bills dissaster for the entire 13 year drought. This guy better get results because once Ralph is no longer the owner he will be gone in a flash. Why does anyone think the Bills will improve as long as so many of the same fools continue to run the team. Only time will tell but I won't expect better results until I actually see them start winning games.
  24. I think Whitner is worse than averaage. Look at the replays of the first two Raven's touchdowns and you will see good old #31 was the primary coverage guy. He got burned twice. He is not a playmaker even when he is on a good team.
