Panthers releasing S Kurt Coleman, DE Charles Johnson
artmalibu replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could be expensive depth. -
They need to hedge their bet and to have a QB. Depending on how things turn out they might be glad to have TT. Also the trade could be for another player who is carrying dead or bonus money too. A trade cant be made yet so they could be postering for other teams that might be interested in him. I wonder what draft pick would be worth eating 6 million..
-
He came to buffalo as the #1 rated run blocking FB, nothing wrong with his performance. If the offense is planing on using a FB in the run game it would be ridicules to cut him. They fired the O coordinator for a reason, he under performed with the talent he had. If the offense is going to rid the FB position thats fine but there has been no indication of that.

When will it stop!!! His cap hit is 2 mil and dead cap is 1.5 mil... League minimum for 2018 is drum roll please....... $480,000 So save 20,000 against the cap....

Does Move Up Plan include Big Free Agents
artmalibu replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I cant wait till the draft is over so the conversation will change. No one knows what spots are available to move up to or what the cost would be anyway. Not to mention there is no agreement that there is anyone QB worth trading up to get. -
Pay the FA proven QB trade back one or both picks and built a team. On the same token I would not want them to trade back if they feel they could get a super star.

During the season aI started to hate the compensatory pick system because I was so tired of seeing threads that the bills should cut several contributing players for like a 3rd round pick while the playoff hut was very alive. If playoff were off the table then why not. If a team is trying to gain comp picks then they are not trying to build a football team.

Rumor: Shady on the Trade Block
artmalibu replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to know the rumor from the same source of what is expected in return. Would be quiet a bit of dead money and about 4 mill in cap savings. Sounds good if you believe RBs are a dime a dozen. -
With all the needs talk I figured I would create a thread on what starters from 2017 that are under contract in 2018, and the resources available to fill the roster. A few side notes added is unsure areas. If I made any mistakes let me know and I will edit. The starting roster isnt as bad as I thought but depth is another story. 2 things at play here 1 guaranteed money due to injury 2 signing bonus money that is spread over the life of the contract

Who gives a crap that he was a first round pick!!! That pick is coming up on 3 drafts ago. Any moves need to be done to make the team better. Considering he is currently a starter on this team it would require a lot in return to make it worth while. I wouldnt want to take the chance on replacing him with a 3rd or 4th round pick. Not to mention even if traded he would carry way too much dead money to make it worth while. The only trade situation I see as worth while is for another current NFL player. It seems like too many are more caught up on the round he was drafted in 3 years ago than fielding at good team in 2018.

Definitely a market for the XFL
artmalibu replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rochester has an beautiful soccer stadium that is empty.... -
When the XFL first started it was too much of a side show WWF style, but as the season went on it was a old time no BS football style. I thought they were on to something and should have stuck with it. Gives us football nuts something to watch out of "football season" and gave some guys a chance to develop for the NFL. Its all good. I will be happy to see it return.

Kaep as a backup. No thanks to manziel until he puts one good season together up north.

Shady Wants to Keep His "Lil Coins" in 2018
artmalibu replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McD is about building, and the process. This guy is a potential HOF player and seems well liked, plays hard and plays hurt. The Bills should issue a statement saying "at this time we have no interest in any contract change, Shady is a key piece of our team." Its always been said its hard to bring FA players in to Buffalo, this is a move that could help change that. -
What's the price to move up and get our guy?
artmalibu replied to ProcessTheTrust's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats my point. I dont see giving up a lot of draft capital to take the left overs. The team has too many needs. I would like to see the Bills as an attractive place that a proven QB wants to come too. -

Cousins value has yet to be determined. My guess is it wont be as much and many are predicting. -

Cleveland (0-16) .520 New York Giants (3-13) .531 Indianapolis (4-12) .480 Cleveland - from Houston (4-12) .516 Denver (5-11) .492 New York Jets (5-11) .520 Tampa Bay (5-11) .555 Chicago (5-11) .559 San Francisco (6-10)# .512 Oakland (6-10)# .512 Miami (6-10) .543 Cincinnati (7-9) .465 Washington (7-9) .539 Green Bay (7-9) .539 Arizona (8-8) .488 Baltimore (9-7) .441 Los Angeles Chargers (9-7) .457 Seattle (9-7) .492 Dallas (9-7) .496 Detroit (9-7) .496 Buffalo* (9-7) .492 Buffalo - The question is how far up can the bills get and who will be left. I see picks 1 and 2 being QBs so how much do you give up to take the 3rd best prospect? Plus with denver and the jets being right up there I see it being a tough deal to make. -
At bare minimum the Bills need to bring in a blue chip guard. Not necessary because Ducasse is that bad, but Icog is getting old.. Could be a drafted player or a free agent. The reality is no O-line will be all pro-bowlers, but got to have a couple of standouts.
-
Your right, great point but "every" was a bad choice of words. 4 out of 5 would have been air tight!!! lol
-
He had 160 more yards this year..... If you cant see the trend of what happens to production when TT throws the ball to a WR or TE, you have to be too blind to watch the games anyway. Mathews is a solid WR as Darby is a solid CB so considering the Bills netted a 3rd in the trade they did well.
-
Mathews was a very good player and the 3rd round pick, Bills won that trade all day long. Problem was TT was throwing the ball to him, how would you expect him to shine. TT is a WR killer, every WR that has left has had their production go up and any incoming has gone down.

Denison and Tyrod should share the same fate
artmalibu replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy played in 8 games last year... Woods played 13 last year and 12 this year to get 168 more yards Flash played in 15 games last year but had 531 more yards this year. Clay played in 15 games last year and 13 this year. Hogan this year had about the same production in 9 games as he did with TT in 16 games So saying TT didnt have receivers to throw to doesnt add up. Everyone who leaves becomes more productive. Lastly and most note worthy TT took a pay cut to stay with the Bills. If any other team thought he was the answer TT would have told the Bills to pound salt.
