With the weather today I would expect a ground and pound game plan with limited 3 WR sets. Mathews is the clear #1 and with Thompsons big game last week I dont see the coaches letting Jones get targets if they thought he could not catch. Unless the tanking theory surfaces again.

I will call BS on the idea that the coaches will compromise their chances to win today for a better future. Coaches made it clear its open competition for playing time, I believe them.

If the coaches share the same opinion as some here they would not let him have any targets. Unless wining is not important to them.

From watching all the games I dont recall seeing a bunch of balls that I thought he should have catched. I swear at the TV when I see that stuff. Funny tho that some will use stats to support their opinion, but then say the stats are wrong when they dont.

I dont keep stats but I thought a lot of ball thrown to he were not good passes, and dont recall him dropping easy catches. Kinda funny how so many want to throw him under the bus just because his catch to target ratio looks bad. I guess more guys need to watch the games.... Lets wait to see what else happens. 6 starters and 4 contributors are UFAs next year. Some of this years cap savings could help sign some players to extensions and make us healthier capwise moving forward. Plus MD is one boneheaded move away from being unavalible for a long time. Bill with the Pats would have put up with MDs crap but Bean should?

May be hard to draft a franchise QB considering our 2 first round picks could be late, and the crapy team so far need a QB worse than us. Giving away the farm to get a QB who is only OK will set the Bills the 5 years for sure. 6 current starters are unrestricted free agents and 5 others are contributors.

Dont forget DT. There are so many needs but no team has pro-bowlers at every position. What we need is for the draft to bring good value regardless of the needs. Six picks in the the first 3 rounds.... If they nail six very good players I dont care about the position they play. Use free agency or trades to collect the missing pieces. Once Jones gets his feet under him this years draft class will look like a great building block!

They had a guy that they were going to cut so they took a flyer on a guy of a position of need(speed receiver) and grabbed a 7th to boot. He was likely the best guy they could get for nothing.

Now they can fake that play and the opposing D will need to respect it. The more you do, the more you can do. I would like to see him get a few more carries, might not be a bad RB option.
