I don’t totally disagree with you. But none of that is really close to an answer for the question of “what’s your expectation for next season”.

Meh, it’s hard to have any expectations for next year. Like I don’t expect us to win the division or be SB favorites. I hope to see better offensive decision making from both the OC and QB that makes moving the football look a lot less difficult. That includes play call, reading defenses, and being more decisive with the football. Especially since I expect there to be some rookies learning live next season. I also hope to see better protection for the QB. I am afraid the wheels fall off this thing and this staff and FO lose the roster and that forces the Pegulas to reset, which is terrifying. I think the staff knows this is a possibility and they may risk long term resources in order to save a single season/their jobs. Also a scary prospect.

It feels so dumb to jump on a guy who just barely missed his second Super Bowl while we are watching from home. All of that might be true. But the most important truth is that they (and he) were better when it mattered most to us.

In the two years Burrows has started and finished the season they’ve lost the AFCCG and the SB by a combined 6 points. I’m not crowning Burrow as the best QB in the league or even better than Allen. But for perspective Allen’s first playoff game was his atrocious 1 and done Houston game. Knocking Burrows career playoff performance is a weird hill to die on today as a Bills fan.

Fair to an extent. But he’s also only played 2 full seasons in the NFL. Burrow after 42 regular season games has been very impressive. He’s 5-2 in the playoffs to our 4-4.

Their board reads a lot like ours this week. The Burrow is not elite one is a bit much. I think it is Mahomes at 1 and then Allen Burrow as 2a/b.

With everything going on in the world the pie in the sky was like “oh yeah, let’s devote some time to this American football players leg. But definitely not any of the OL for Cincinnati. Because eff Joe Burrow”

My issues with Allen this season were never accuracy or velocity. It was decision making through and through. We are watching Mahomes throw some ducks.

If anybody pushes that record it’s Mahomes. At least right now. Too soon to talk about Burrow. Especially since he’s in CIN, who may struggle since their owner struggles with cash to keep their cap low.

This is true. McNabb wasn’t a schlub. Andy Reid is great coach and Mahomes is a great QB. Some of the comments around KC is “It’s not Mahomes it’s Andy”, which I think is nuts. Reid doesn’t have a Shanahan track record where he’s gotten very real NFL production out of Beathard, Mullens, and now Purdy. Literally 3rd string QB after 3rd string QB.

We keep saying that, but it’s not like he has a laundry list of QB’s that were amazing under him. Donavan McNabb isn’t making any HoF. Kevin Kolb? Old man Vick? He got some mileage out of Alex Smith, but so did Harbaugh. Andy Reid is a legit coach. But he isn’t the QB savant people portray him as since Mahomes became Mahomes.

He is the best QB in the league. I dislike saying it. Other guys do some things better, but he puts it all together at a high level more consistently than anybody in the league.

I think teams should be allowed 2 “non-overturned” challenges. But if you throw the flag and change the call, you should be able to keep it.

I don’t think there is a conversation for who the best QB in the league is. It’s Mahomes. The discussion is who is second best.

Or didn’t sign Miller after whiffing on Basham, AJE, and getting OK production out of Rousseau. I like Von on this team. I don’t like the investment after so many bad investments.

Beanes drafts haven’t made enough impact to counteract the fact that we don’t have any cap space.
