  1. I mean Allen was majestic last night. I might have to call my doctor because it’s been more than 4 hours. But that play might be a TD if Lee sits down. It’s definitely a TD if Allen doesn’t throw it behind him. Not getting the rage here.
  2. Anderson is still in close contact with Allen and Daboll. They talk weekly about prep, play calls, film etc. One of the announcers mentioned it during the game over the last few weeks. Said Anderson loved Allen and the Bills.
  3. I think this is where Tua ends up getting benched again/leaving the game for an ankle injury, to then miss the next week with a hand injury(?). If KC rocks Miami, I don't think they ride him for the season. Too much on the line for them at this point. They will have Fitz try and carry them to the playoffs.
  4. If the standings hold through week 17 (they won't), we play Miami back to back week 17 and the wild card round. That would actually be a blast. I would bet that if that happened, Buffalo absolutely rests as many starters as possible in week 17 and plays their most vanilla game of the season. Let Miami come out trying to fight to not play in the 7th seed against Pitt/KC and put everything on tape for the next week. Also, don't hit Tua too hard, I don't want to risk a Fitzmagic type day in the playoffs.
  5. Based on the standings now, if the Bills beat the Dolphins and Steelers they will finish the season 5-2 against playoff teams. That is pretty remarkable.
  6. Tis the season guys, while nothing is clinched (yet) this years Bills fan edition is a lot more fun. Some quick clicking around, I think the Bills clinch a playoff birth if they beat literally anybody at all, and the Browns beat the Ravens this week.
  7. I actually think the opposite. They knew what was coming and they still go worked. If anything it says, we did everything we possibly could and we still were not good enough.
  8. This kind of rewording of other people’s words, to say the exact same thing, but call it my own is exactly how I got through high school.
  9. I’m a big Simms fan. I might not always agree, but he’s a smart guy who seems like he is putting in a lot of work getting to know the teams he is talking about.
  10. It is all about getting hot at the right moment. All the teams you mentioned did. Buffalo is not hot at the moment, but they are luke warm. If they keep winning games and the SB like we did against SD, where they (SD) struggle to manage the clock and we turn the ball over a ton. Or where we beat the Jets by only kicking 6 FG's, we are probably a team that gets looped in with the Ravens, etc. I do get the sense that this team is going to get hot as we push towards the finish line. I am curious to see this team vs. SF.
  11. Couple cool things here: 1. McD to the refs- "He is a good kid". I read this as trying to get future calls for his QQ whether it is roughing the passer or PI. Make sure the refs don't think he is a punk so he gets the calls. Bates the refs into complimenting JA. I was impressed and I can be critical. 2. Talking to Josh- "I am only coming over here to remind you that if you do it again you are out of the game" and "I like the swagger"- It is like your dad picks you up from school after getting in a fight. Dad looks mad at you for fighting while the teachers are around, then the car door shuts, smiles, and he says "I don't want to have to do this again. What's the other guy look like look like?"
  12. Good catch on the green dot. I wonder who has the backup receiver? Could be Hyde. Could be Klein as well. Edmunds, Poyer, and Hyde all played 100% of snaps this week. Doesn't matter anyways other than it seems clear McD is leaning heavily on Hyde for defensive leadership which is cool to see.
  13. Anybody notice they caught him talking up Hyde a few times. Curious if Edmunds elevated play is that Hyde is calling the defense now and that leaves Edmunds to just play fast. If so, it is a good move.
  14. A lot of if's in there, but I get the point and don't totally disagree. The need to "look towards the future" is silly at the moment. I don't see them bailing on Brady in 2021. And I do not see any reason to part with Arians. If this is Arians last stand, he will be out on his own terms in short order and will bring you more than enough success that you become one of the top landing spots for any coach when he does. Draft a guy in the bottom of the first this year, sure. Let him sit for a year. Let Brady walk/retire. Let Arians help select his replacement as he rides into the sunset after 2023 or whenever.
  15. I agree with you that I do not want it to disrupt the system, and it very well may. But I think it is because owners want to keep net profits as high as possible not because it is to keep them in the black. According to Yahoo only one team had an operating income lower than the net in TV contract to salary cap. https://www.yahoo.com/news/rich-every-nfl-team-090000298.html Average operating income across the league, per statista, is $100M. https://www.statista.com/statistics/193482/nfl-franchises-average-operating-income-since-2005/
  16. The TV contract covers the cap +50 or 60M. By my (remedial) math the only reason to drop the cap is to maintain GP, not necessarily to keep teams out of the red. I do not see how this is an "owners don't have enough money to stay in the black, decrease the cap" issue. It is a margin decision between being in the black and being further into the black.
  17. At a 4.66 he is faster than Singletary. haha
  18. I am generally able to not break stuff in the house, but I do scare the dog a lot. I watch a lot of games outside and I throw stuff all the time. After that "InTeRcEpTiOn" from the Rams game, my neighborhood is lucky I didn't set the entire thing on fire. I did throw my beer over my back fence from the house.
  19. No it wasn’t. Allen doesn’t suck. He just doesn’t deserve a game ball today. Step away from the ledge my man.
  20. I didn’t notice Dawkins against Bosa often. Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, but it didn’t seem to get him 1v1 often. Winters on the other hand was probably the worst player in a Bills uniform today.
  21. Gannon kept saying ankle, it looked like a knee to me. But I’m just some Schmo on the internet
