Bill under Gailey were actually very good second half offenses. Sort of the opposite of now where Josh and Daboll come out hot and get cold. Gailey and Fitz would come out cold and leave the tunnel in the 3rd pretty hot.

Gailey and Fitz are made for each other. Based on what we are seeing on game day, I don’t think he could have been showing so much in practice that he haaaad to play. The only thing I can come up with is they wanted to see what the rookie had before next year. Tua hasn’t been terrible, he just hasn’t been good enough or shown enough with how good this defense is. Feels a lot like our TT situation. Both offenses just need more because right now they aren’t getting enough.

Can’t take a safety there. I’d put Fitz in now. Another fake injury looming.

Agreed, the defense is playing more than well enough to win this game. The offense has not done nearly enough to hold up their end of the bargain.

Im wondering how many stalled drives until he gets yoinked again. I have watched a little bit of Tua and he just hasn’t been good enough to me. I actually thought this game would be a route and the team needs a playoff push. Thought this would be the game that sits Tua for the rest of the season and Fitz will be starting week 17. With how good the Miami D has been, I am unsure if they make that call now. But it’s the right team decision for 2020.

This Miami defense is no joke right now. I want no part of them in a meaningful week 17 match up. I would much rather have a another game as a buffer than relying on winning out.

I have been the same for a while. And even then I’d buy a jersey and dudes would get traded in short order. It was wild wild. I did grab a Tre jersey as soon as he signed. I don’t regret it. Beasley has been so lights out I looked to double down. But they are nowhere right now.. Maybe it’s bad luck to where the same jersey every year in a row. Maybe Beasley is my 2021 jersey.

We are on the same page here, but to add on...I wish we had a better run game. Actual run, or just run concepts/productivity. While the line has been good in pass pro, we get little push on the run. If this were Allen year 1 or 2, I would be fully on board in forcing between the tackles. But getting Allen in a rhythm makes the offense dominant. And our current RB stable means we will never do a great job naturally running outside. So the biggest need is high percentage 1-4 yard pick ups while keeping the clock going. Stop riding the RB’s and OL who have not been consistently good at it, and start finding those yards in meaningful situations in what we are good at. Get Allen under center, get creative with the screen, and hit those super quick slants, and hopefully burn then occasionally with a misread seam. Beasley is a great example. I am with you here my friend. Also, Jesus, could you imagine being a HS coach and Kurt Warner is running the “greatest show on turf” concepts against you. Somebody mentioned the same thing about early day Kyle Shannahan days. Don’t forget it wasn’t that long ago that Mike Pettine was coaching HS ball. Pettine runs a complex scheme, imagine being 16 years old and that is what lines up against you. Hard pass. 😂

This is where I am at. I have been hard when Josh has a bad game. I’ve said “if he does this he’s an anomaly”, but he’s done it and he is. That was a wild week in game planning. This version of the defense and the offense can go toe to toe with KC. No questions asked. If Josh is on and we have the good version of our defense it is a very real football game.

I am no playoff mathematician, but in playing with the playoff machine on espn, I think we clinch with a win and a Ravens loss. If we don’t clinch, it’s all but losing out and a million other things falling into place.

To your final point, I’ve actually been much more frustrated at our quick passing game. It’s clear it’s very important to get Allen in rhythm early, but until last week we have had a non-existent quick passing and/or screen game. I brought this up when McD said he needed to make the run game work in the bye. If we haven’t been able to get it going in 10 weeks, a week off won’t do it. We needed the passing game to step in for situational yardage and play to our strength. Take a page from Eddie George and/or the 2001 Rams. I am getting the sense watching the defense and how we have morphed over the season, that McD has been methodically been adding schemes, plays, parts to our playbook. I have been pleased. To this point, we need a better situational passing game. We were much better last week at this, especially with screens. But we haven’t been great with screens this season (Gailey is the best in the game at screens) and rarely lean on or try any quick 3 step drops.

McD. I think the team has been overall better coached and had a better overall vision than it has been at drafting/FA overall. Also, McD extended first tells me that if the roster is not working out they’d stick with McD and find another GM to stock the cupboards. This is both McD and Beanes team...until it isn’t. Then it’s just McD’s.

Wait, can somebody get me up to date here. I am a chord cutter but I do have somebody’s log in for DTV that I use occasionally. I just turned on my TV, logged into DTV in the NBC app, and I am streaming everything fine. Is it regional or nation wide? I also have the streaming service for Sunday Ticket. If NBC/DTV are being fart faces, will the app still run the game?

I think Edward’s and EJ could have MAYBE developed into something better under a different HC/OC. The rest, nah. Flutie- Came into the league at the wrong era. He could play now Bledsoe- Didn’t need to develop. Needed to not be old. Turned out to be a HoF’er JP- What a dumb dumb Orton- Was retired before he got here Fitz- is what he is. A top tier back up to low level starter. Great team leader. Physiology is his only limitations.

That actually can't happen. There is no TNF, SNF or MNF for week 17. Literally every team plays at either 1pm or 430pm.

Maybe, but does not look like it. Scrolling ahead, there are dozens of teams without any listed uniform. Hell, even this weeks is wrong for Pittsburgh. So Pitt either knew and switched this week on their own. Or Pitt did not know, and switched when they found out. Either way, it does not look like the league/teams are in the know at all, or if they are they have the freedom to switch as they please. To my point, if you are an away team, releasing your uniform 12 weeks in advance is silly. Case in point is Pitt @ Buffalo this week. If Buffalo wants to play all whites in week 17, Miami will absolutely be in Teel tops whether they like it or not.

Teams releasing their road uniforms seems silly. It doesn't really matter what the dolphins want here. If the Bills want to wear white on white, the Dolphins can't wear their white jerseys.

Wish we were in all whites vs. the all blacks. Would have looked great.
