  1. I guess people see what they want to see. I didn't see much for all the hype he gets, especially playing against 2's/3's. Certainly not enough that makes him far and away the best choice to start. Hoyer looked ok, I just think overall the Browns have no weapons on offense, besides Gordon and Cameron. I did she a guy who lowers his head just before he gets hit when running which is not going to end well if he keeps it up. EDIT: oh and not that this isn't uncommon in rookie QBs, but he stares down his recievers.
  2. There you go, it's his hamstring
  3. Gee, I thought the batted balls were something he had always had a problem with...
  4. I really liked the Boobie Dixon/Frank Summers combo that scored the 1st TD, I'd like to see that more in >5 yard RedZone situations. Big bruisers, punching it in. I like Freddie, but he may be loosing his touch at the goaline, like the KC game, stuffed multiple times.
  5. Agreed. I know this is an EJ thread but I really liked the Frank Summers/Boobie Dixon combo in the RedZone. Real smash mouth with the 2 big guys, it would be nice if that was the combo they used with the 1's. It was nice to see it with the 2's on the first TD.
  6. Maybe, but then you risk him getting hurt and lowering the trade value.
  7. Oh really? It's funny you picked 2 games, hilariously and not even his last game in Buffalo, nice attempt at calling me out. Care to explain why in game one he only rushed 3 times, while CJ and Fred combined for 11 rushes in game one vs the Dolphins? Or how about his actual last game he played in Buffalo, 4 attempts for 8 yards. http://espn.go.com/n.../marshawn-lynch Thanks for playing. EDIT: Also, lets not forget CJ was named the Bills starting running back before the 2010 season, over Lynch, so yes the writing was on the wall. Spiller was ineffective in the first game forcing the Bills to go to Lynch in game 2 and 3, but then they went back to CJ/Fred and Lynch was traded. http://nesn.com/2010/09/rookie-cj-spiller-named-bills-starting-running-back-over-fred-jackson-marshawn-lynch/ Again, thanks for calling me out and all.
  8. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, because obviously it could, but if it were going to happen why wouldn't they have one of the other guys (Dixon, Brown) practicing/playing more time with the 1's? When Lynch was going to be traded, his 1st team reps were severely cut almost like the writing was on the wall.
  9. His first year may have made him appealing, but his 2nd year shouldn't make him appealing whatsoever anymore. He really only had 1 start in 2012, and that was the last game of the season against Cleveland. Besides that he had mostly mop up duties. While it is impressive that a rookie came in and won his lone start for the season, is that really indicative of his overall talent or is the 3 full games he played in 2013 paint a better picture? In my mind the 2013 games show a clearer picture. In those 3 starts he was 69/130 (53%) for a YPA of 5.47 and 4 TD's against 5 INT's. And keep in mind they lost all the games he played in, in 2013. I think that's what you would be getting if you traded for Cousins. Is that worth what the Redskins would ask for him? Probably not.
  10. "Broncos look strong in avenging Super Bowl loss" http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2014080704/2014/PRE1/seahawks@broncos#menu=gamepass&tab=recap&recap=fullstory Seriously? Avenging a embarrassing Super Bowl loss in a preseason game? Brilliant piece of writing.
  11. Oh man, the Broncos really gave it to the Seahawks in a game that means absolutely nothing. And in doing so, avenged their absolutely appalling(and pathetic) Super Bowl loss.
  12. This is funny, how about this: A reporter tweeted... Now this: EJ overthrows wide open Mike Williams in end zone. Next play scrambles and forces throw to Chandler that's picked. #BillsCamp So no real context to the overthrow... But then someone adds context: Buffalo Sports Guy @716sportsguy Looks like more of a miscommunication to me. EJ threw to back pylon. HarryGibbs: Manuel misses wide open Williams. vine.co/v/M9LX6BXqTre” Buffalo Sports Guy @716sportsguy Further, re: my last tweet and the E.J. throw - that's a timing route. Not one where he saw MW standing wide open and simply missed him. They might be observing the same things, but there is no context to the tweet. The first tweet makes it seem like it's EJs fault, when in reality it's a miscommunication.
  13. Honestly Yolo, I enjoy this thread. I say keep doing it, if you want. It's just unfortunate that some people hang on every tweet as gospel.
  14. Broken plays contribute to more clicks and more followers...
  15. It falls back to that saying again, the backup QB is the best player on the team. And fans will always come back and say but, but, but, but he looked good in these plays. I'd like to know how many times in the NFL, the backup QB has actually been better than the starter. I'm not talking Rogers backing up Favre because Rogers was drafted to replace Favre, I'm talking actually backup.
  16. Well at least there won't be any more tweets until after the game. As a side note, it's completely obvious a lot of these reporters have agendas and aren't just tweeting what they see. That's now 2 days in a row where I've read the play by play and it isn't as terrible as these tweets would have you believe. Plus I question some of their actual knowledge of whats going on. A couple tweets saying the throw to Mike Williams was horrible, he was open, etc. but then someone else tweets that it looked like Mike Williams ran the wrong route and didn't get deep enough into the route. It's crazy.
  17. And at one point throws 3 TD passes in a row... I'll take that all day long.
  18. Interesting. Wasn't nearly as bad as some people would have you believe . At one point during 11-on-11 in the red zone Manuel threw 3 TD passes in a row.
  19. Play by play report from camp last night, not nearly bad as it was made out to be, IMO. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2014/8/5/5973567/training-camp-report-for-8-5
  20. ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk · 49m Report: Browns expect to lose Josh Gordon for at least eight games http://wp.me/p14QSB-9x9J
  21. I don't have a problem with EJ running as long as he understands how to protect himself ie slide, go out of bounds and I don't need to see it in the preseason, save it for the regular season.
  22. Pretty simple. It's a non-binding bid. You could bid 1 trillion dollars and the trust can't hold a bidder to it. There needs to be finalists with final bids. If Pegulas the only bidder and the trust lets him know that, he could turn around and lower his price.
