  1. And it's official via Bills twitter
  2. iPhone it's super easy, go into settings, Personal Hotspot is the 5th option down, just turn it on. Then you'll be able to find your phone on your computers WiFi. Just an option, but it's what I use when travelling with no WiFi and wanting to use something bigger than a phone.
  3. What kind of phone do you have, you could always tether?
  4. I think this makes perfect sense. The guy has way, way too much talent to not exhaust all you can to help him. Could that breaking point still come sometime this season? Sure.
  5. Ah yes, how could I miss that! Haha.
  6. Am I really youngest in this thread thus far? 31
  7. Right but most of Tannebaums money is in MLSE, which is where his net worth comes from. He can't write a check against MLSE, so his liquidity is a problem. Same goes for JBJ. They don't have loads of cash, which the NFL likes. Which makes sense, you wouldn't want an owner/owners having big debt problems and then banks getting involved when they can't pay back their debt. Rogers is probably the most liquid out of the 3, but as K-9 pointed out he needs permission, hence why he isn't a loan bidder. He doesn't need JBJ or Tannenbaum.
  8. I agree with that completely. My comment was more directed at the "injury" concern.
  9. I'm not saying that at all, just saying he'll be back.
  10. I'm guessing it's conditioning. Today was conditioning tests, only make sense. Give him a couple days and he'll be on the field.
  11. For the life of me can't understand why some fans, even with certain information staring them in the face, still refuse to believe what they're being told. First, it's been said by multiple posters and reporters that each bid must include plans to keep the Bills in WNY. But this Toronto group is just going to lie, right? Deceive 32 owners and the 4 members of the trust just to move the team in 6 years? Lets completely ignore that the league would still need to approve the move when the time came to move. So they approve the sale to this Toronto group, with their plan to stay, but then 6 later change their mind and the NFL let them move? I don't get it, why would they do that? Sure, you can point to history and say the Raiders challenged the NFL and won, but the last 2 teams to move (Houston and Cleveland) have left the league with egg on their face. So much so that those 2 cities got teams over bids from Los Angeles. Second, there's the logistics of the Bills moving. There isn't a stadium in Toronto the Bills could currently play at or even temporarily play at. The current government in Toronto is offering ZERO financial support for the Argos new stadium, so it's safe to assume at this point that an NFL move there would receive zero financial support. A Toronto bid can't just assume that in 6 years, on a prayer, that money might be there. They need to plan the future. So they can do 2 things, come up with the possible billion dollars for a stadium in Toronto, out of their own pocket, OR work with WNY and NY politicians and get public funding, which would reduce the cost to a new owner. This is all assuming this Toronto group even wins the bid in the first place. The conspiracy theories out there are crazy, reporters/jaws/insiders are just trying to calm the fans? Seriously? Ask yourself this, if a Toronto group did win, would you really be calm? No. You've already proved that, so what possible purpose could "calming" the fans do, when "you know" a Toronto bid is going to move the team?
  12. Appreciate all the info you give Kirby.
  13. As someone who's worked in the UK, the tax rate for high earners is no different or oppressive than the tax rate in the US. The highest earners pay 40% same as they would in the US. Time difference is 5 hours from the east coast and 8 hours from the west coast. The UK's day light savings starts a bit later, so in the Fall for 2 weeks the time is cut to 4 hrs and 7 hrs. EDIT: And I'm not saying the NFL should put a team in London.
  14. Wow, that looks great. Deck is next for us after we finish our extension over the garage. I've been debating composite/wood and I think I've finally settled on going the hard wood route.
  15. Huh? How do you figure that? First, Exhibition stadium, where the Argos used to play, doesn't even exist any more. It's a parking lot. And even if it did, it doesn't come close to the required amount of seats for NFL games (either does Rogers Centre, more on that later). Unless you are referring to BMO field, where Toronto FC plays? Which seats 20,000 and would need so much work and building to bring it up to the required amount of seats for NFL games, the owner might as well just build his own. Second, where would this money come from in Toronto to build this stadium? The Argos are moving out of the Rogers Centre (which doesn't meet minimum NFL seating, anyways) , more like being forced out the new grass will make it not possible to set the field up for football games. It's been reported all over that the Argos will not receive any public funding for a new stadium. So you think somehow an NFL team would get public funding? Not likely. That means out of pocket from the new owner. Whats all that mean? It means moving the team to Toronto would be about the most expensive option when buying the Bills. I'd say the team goes for $1.25 billion, plus another $1 billion for a stadium, plus NFL relocation fee, plus the $28 million from waiting til year 7 of the lease. Not easier or cheaper.
  16. It's always tough to narrow down a favorite, but here's a few: Delirium Tremens (Great Belgian blonde, very smooth and refreshing) Great Lakes Elmond Fitzgerald Porters (one of my favorite dark beers) Steinhauser (great German lager)
  17. I'm sorry but what "facts" did you post? Anyways, here's some facts for you: Stevie Johnson in Bills history is: 7th in TD's (28) ahead of Peeress Price and way way far ahead of Josh Reed (10), who played for the Bills longer. Also the 6 in front of him, all had longer tenure's with the Bills. 8th in yards (3,832) again, ahead of Peerless Price and Josh Reed. And again the one's ahead of him all had longer tenure's with the Bills. 6th in receptions (301) again, ahead of Peerless Price and Josh Reed. And again the one's ahead of him all had longer tenure's with the Bills. I don't understand the need to crap on the guys career here in Buffalo. The Bills took a 7th round (not 6th round) player and were able to get a great deal of production out of him. Did he make mistakes? Sure, but so did loads of players the last 6 years he was here, hence the 6-10, 7-9 records. If you think SJ was the difference between a wining record and being 6-10, I've got a bridge to sell you. I don't miss him, because how would I know if he's missed or not, there hasn't been a down of official football yet. But I wish him well in SF and hope for the best while he's there.
  18. This. Not sure there's a need to start a thread to crap on him.
  19. Surely that's a positive for a CB. The best thing a CB can do is not be noticed, meaning the ball isn't coming his way because he's "shut down" his receiver. I agree with some of what the OP says, Robey has the flashy sacks and the 1 int but wasn't on the field nearly as much as McKelvin was (609 snaps vs. 927 snaps).
  20. Not a fan of some of his music, but I like his acting and I respect the hell out of him.
  21. I think Argentina's back 4 is pretty suspect.... similar to Brazil. I could see Holland score quite a few. Then's there always Messi to keep it close. I'll say 3-2 Holland.
  22. I've never really been impressed with David Luiz, especially when he was with Chelsea. He has looked pretty bad in defense most of the WC. He looked absolutely horrible last night, charging way too far up the field, missing tackles and not following German forwards when they would counter. The more I think about it, I think Silva is the one who held the back 4 together through the WC.
