  1. Interesting splits: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2013_splits.htm
  2. Regarding the tempo. Hackett slowed the tempo down as the year went on, while keeping the no huddle aspects. I think it was a solid adjustment, and shows that he's flexible. Multiple games, they also made adjustments in the second half. I'm hopeful that he'll grow. That being said, he needs to better utilize CJ in the screen and receiving game. Along with better runs for him.
  3. QB rating of about 85-90. Continue to take care of the ball. See open receivers quicker. Trust receivers to get open. Keep from taking too many unnecessary hits. If he does the above, and we don't make the playoffs, I give him a third year to see if he can continue to improve. If he doesn't perform up to the above, I look into QBs in the second round of next year's draft. Basically all I'm looking for are signs of improvement. I don't think it'll require hall of fame numbers for us to finish above .500, or even make the playoffs.
  4. Risky, but I like it. At the very least it's exciting.
  5. Sorry, should have clarified, General Practitioner. It takes you 3-4 months to get an appointment? Jesus. You either have bad luck, or my Canadian friends have good luck (they run in the same 1-2 week time frame that I do).
  6. Losing a close game once per year in the playoffs is much different than the Bills losing 5+ close games a year due to "bad luck".
  7. Human interest stories have often times been the focus of SC and other sports programs/news. They are humans playing these sports, after all.
  8. It's a continued step towards social equality for the LGBT community. It's a big deal, in that regard. To ignore that, is to be purposefully obtuse.
  9. Whenever I call up my doctor to set up an appointment, it's usually a week or two out. Is that not normal?
  10. ^ I'm more confident in EJ's abilities, than I am in our coaching staff. Sadly, the coaches are responsible for EJ's developments. I have a feeling he'd be guaranteed great on a few other franchises. Here? Who the hell knows.
  11. He gets three full seasons, as long as he doesn't completely crap the bed. Rookie year he had some good games, and some bad games. Normal rookie stuff. This year, I want to see him cut some of the bad games out. Be more aware of the field. Recognize WRs faster. Not take unnecessary hits. If he improves just a little, and the rest of the team plays as well as they did last year (or better in the case of run defense) we could see .500 pretty easily. Year three, if he isn't a top 10 QB in the league, and the rest of the team has holes, then we need to look at QB options.
  12. Indeed. Every team has multiple close games in a year. Good teams win those games. Bad teams lose those games. Every year we have posts "we could have been...."
  13. After rookie signings, we'll only have $3-4 mil left in cap room. So if we do pick up any new bodies, they will need to be cheap cheap cheap.
  14. ...to regular season reality. Hopefully this season ends that trend
  15. I've seen a lot of sites grading the players we drafted really high. Grading our team as having needs at positions we drafted. Grading players ahead of where we drafted them... Then we end up with a "C" or something in the end. It sucks, but it's not unexpected. We are the worst franchise in the league at the moment, there's no reason for anyone to give us respect until we win. Edit: missed an important word haha
  16. FWIW, I heard he tried to bounce most runs outside last year... but from videos I saw, I liked that he made cuts inside, and towards the middle of the field quite often. That all being said... I think it's awesome we'll have three RBs who could potentially be very productive this year. The more good players, the better. If one of them doesn't get the playing time they think they deserve, then so what, that means the other(s) are playing that awesome.
  17. I wish more NFL fans realized this.
  18. I see FJ/CJ getting the bulk of the carries. Brown being a way better Choice, and possible FJ replacement next year. Dixon a special teams/special situations guy. And Frank The Tank continuing to bowl people over for our guys and sometimes getting the ball and doing fun things with it.
  19. We have huge question marks at WR and OL, simply because of the infusion of untested youth. Other than that, I say we're solidly around 10-15 in the league.
  20. I guess the staff is happy with Thad.
  21. Stevie needs to turn his life around? Seriously?
