  1. 5 pages on this in less than 12 hours. Damn, lets start training camp already.
  2. Uh, oh....this can't be good. If you scroll down to the very bottom of that link it says...."Backup QB". Git yer resumes ready.
  3. and has never been the same since. Injured my toughness once in '83. Still hurts.
  4. Agreed......but...I am not so sure we have THAT much depth on our O-line to get overly excited about. What great talent is really getting cut on the O-line. I think we should make the playoffs this year....but overall talent is probably another year away. Just my .02
  5. Great article about Darryl Talley. Man I loved this guy when he played but reading this article I realized he may be my Favorite Bill of All Time: http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2012/07/former_shaw_high_star_darryl_t.html "....Nehlen still remembers how Talley gave highly-rated Pittsburgh All-American quarterback Dan Marino fits. And how he once nearly decapitated Maryland quarterback Boomer Esiason on a blitz. He blocked punts and intercepted passes. He was fast and quick and smart. "Darryl Talley was a one-man wrecking crew," Nehlen said. "He was just all over the field, all over the field." How great it that. He terrorized Marino in college and in the pros. There were soooo many good players on the Bills when he played I almost forgot how talented he was. (and he seams like a great guy too.) Congrats on the College Hall. Now he needs to be in the Pro Football Hall!!!
  6. This ^^ Plus the fact that training camp hasn't even started and Rex finally learned what his players have learned. He's a blowhard who should be kept off HBO's Hard Knocks! (they do have a decent team, can't wait for the IMPLOSION!!!!!!!)
  7. He may be fast.....but he's no Maybin!!
  8. I like to do Over/under for season wins. I have bet on Bills and other teams and won more than lost. I REALLY like the over this year. I mean I really like the over. I think Vegas has us at 7 wins. That's a steal!!!
  9. I don't like to tell this story online because most would not believe. I actually snuck into Game 4 and Game 6 of the Sabres Stanley Cup against Dallas. Many years ago I worked at the old Aud and also knew some people that worked at HSBC. Game 4, I met up with a friend inside who runs the beer concessions. He took me up the back elevator to the 200 level bar/restaurant area about 2 hours before game-time. Ended up meeting Darren Pang and Barry Melrose while they were getting their make-up put on. Sat at the table overlooking the ice right above Hasek. We won. Game 6, my brother and I wore suits and followed 6 Dallas Stars players into HSBC about 2.5 hours before game-time. Same thing met my friend, up the back elevator and sat in the same seats. FREAKIN' AMAZING!!! (Except for Brett Hull). Not the best seats in the house.....but damn good and free! My best seats were at Wrigley Field about 7 years ago. They had just built @ 5 new rows behind home plate. My buddy took about 6 of us at $500 bucks a pop. Saw Mark Prior pitch a great game. Again, didn't cost me a cent for the tickets......I guess it is true: The best things in life are free. I am guessing that was at The Chance in Poughkeepsie. Amazing place to see music!! Small and intimate.
  10. What is this VCR thing that you speak of???
  11. Name a really bad thread that gets several pages of riled up responses simply because it's the offseason.....
  12. Great. So we can all pay to read Jerry Sullivan and then bash him. perfect.
  13. I did hear a few minutes of Rome. Not that anyone here (including me) cares but......Jim asked Stern about the draft lottery being fixed and that STRUCK a nerve with Stern. He then asked Rome how his wife beating was going (or something to that effect). Needless to say that Rome got really upset although he held his cool. I'm not a big Stern or Rome fan but it's always nice to hear radio/tv that's not totally canned and boring!! They obviously DO NOT like each other. Stern then ended the conversation saying he needed to talk to someone important and that he was leaving to go talk to Stephen A. Smith. PRICELESS. Best 5 minutes of Rome in years!!! Anyhow.....I am more interested in hearing about Mario. Anyone hear anything? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller??
  14. Yes. Lindy Ruff. And he said he will make line changes all the time too!
  15. He's been searching Google, Yahoo, Bing, Wikipedia, Webster's since the day Jim Kelly retired! We're BACK Baby!
  16. Question: Will both Vince Young and Thigpen make the roster? I am thinking Brad most likely becomes our 3rd QB, which makes a TON of sense since it's almost like getting an extra roster spot. Think about it, most teams carry 3 QB's and the 3rd does nothing all year. Now we have a 3rd QB, who is also a WR, Special Teamer and will play and run the wildcat. I say Win-Win. <....And come on' Are you really gonna be mad if Thigpen isn't our 3rd string QB? >
  17. Somebody needs to bring it up. Ralph is Cheap! There, I said it.
  18. He became extremely frustrated with his work ethic and poor attitude and felt he had to let himself go. It was a very difficult decision, but had to be made. < In all seriousness, I like T. O. and wish him the best >
  19. You make some key points. Now let's analyze the Patriots: Tom Brady - 6th rounder. Not going to take his team anywhere. Probably out of the league before we know it. Wes Welker - Are you kidding me??? Undrafted. Great thread.
  20. The quote: "No, he's not a guard," Nix said. "He started 50 games, the last 16 at left tackle. We put it out there, we tried to spread the rumor that he was a guard and hoped somebody wouldn't take him." Wishes came true. That competition for the job of protecting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's blind side will be one of the most interesting and most important of training camp. What Glenn brings to the table is a large body of work at a major college (his 50 starts matched a Bulldogs record) to go with a large body. The All-SEC first teamer has a wingspan of 84 5/8 inches with 10-inch hands. Liking Buddy more and more all the time. If he hits on a few draft picks this year, he truly is a great talent evaluator. But.....since it's a slow news day, what do you think of Buddy's comments? It's not quite leaking Wonderlic test results but he really is blatantly saying that he tried to lower Glenn's draft status so that he would drop to us in the 2nd. Do you have a problem with this? Or could you see the NFL start coming down on any this? I say....well played. Link: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/19145186/twobillsdrive
  21. Yeah....I know what you mean. I just keep sitting here hitting F5, waiting for some news.....like maybe he gets re-signed. F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5 F5
