i.e., he doesn't try and has a defense and (usually) a run game...we could hire a baby to do nothing
edit: I watched the .gif btw...Peterman would have gone yard
Tyrod sucks plain and simple. He plays not to lose and not to make a mistake. He's years in the league and still playing Bemaer Ball. He sucks. He's afraid. He manages the passing game he does not lead the passing attack. Get rid of him.
We need a draft to get a QB who understands to sometimes give it air and let it go ... that's pretty rough. But yea, we do in fact need someone new to do that. Although, I'm pretty sure what his name will do that (back up guy) if ordered.
But you have to throw it and they have to know you will.
I'm not delusional or overly optimistic but a 27th power ranking (which we are as I type) is outrageous. We are no where near the 5th crappiest team in the league.
Nobody is talking about phasing in a rookie QB.
If anything, tell Tyrod to be Tyrod and run a lot and capitalize on his advantage...if/when he tweaks something and misses a few games we'll see what Peterman can do.
The way our new guys in the secondary played last week was really enouraging.
If we can continue to:
1. Get better up front on D (which I think we can)
2. Swarm in the secondary
3. Run the ball
4. Not make penalities or turnovers
...we will make the playoffs.
Bottom line being a good game plan, lack of mistakes, and good fundamentals will take any team in the NFL a long way and we have talent enough to put together a winning streak in this league if we do those things. It's not as hard as 17 years would leave you to believe.
We don't need a tear down and we are tearing down. We don't need a complete rebuild and we are doing exactly that. We don't need to kick the fans in the nuts and we kicking hard.
We are all doomed. It's all gone to hell. We're all going to die.
Tragic accident but HS football players can carry a log around together. Every year HS football players are hurt in the weight room performing any number of lifts, including those that involve lifting heavy bars above their heads. There is nothing inherently wrong with this drill. It was an accident.
