Bill Polian loves Marrone
RealityCheck replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Way to not prove your point. Belicheat would never ever go for that. Why not use any one of the infinite hypotheticals that will never happen to prove that in reality, Belicheat is one of the best coaches in the game today. It would be wise to emulate some of his moves given his level of success. -
Marrone: Playbook 80% Done
RealityCheck replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have heard of running plays that your players are good at, but to suggest that a playbook in and of itself should be based on the talent of the team is simply ridiculous. Nobody does that. -
Bills to let David Nelson walk?
RealityCheck replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who is David Nelson? -
Why is Russ B at the Combine?
RealityCheck replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you saying that you hope Russ fails? Which team are you rooting for? -
I'd love to have Bart Scott on the team until mid August as a training camp model of Pettines scheme at LB. Under those circumstances, I think he could help teach while thinking he will make the team.

This is nothing new on Fitz. PM said what the fan base has been saying to each other for a long time. You could drop Fitz into any starting role in the league and that team will not win a championship. All the big throws made by playoff QBs this year were far and away beyond what Fitz could ever do. Flaco didn't throw one pick in the playoffs against quality defenses. Fitz could never pull that off. As long as Fitz is under contract the organization should publicly support him. I don't take any issue with that. I do take issue with the fact that he is on the roster at all. To me he is a classic example of a smart dumb guy. He may be smart in the 2-D world of football, but he is a huge liability when the game becomes 3-D.

Pats not going to use tag on welker
RealityCheck replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Welker can't help the Pats over the hump to win a Super Bowl then I fail to see how he will help the Bills win a Super Bowl at his age, probable cost, and the state of the current Bills roster. -
It looks like the Jets have pulled a page out of Revis' book. Hopefully it gets worse.

Where does it say Whaley is in charge of this? Where does it say he will draft a QB? Where does it say that he is ready to compromise? Are you seeing what isn't there as an excuse to put Whaley down to build up yourself? If your going to make assumptions, why stop here?

How's it gonna shake out? Byrd or Landry?
RealityCheck replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I fail to see the reason why we would have to chose between a SS and a FS. Byrd will at least get tagged. If Levitre walks then getting Landry should be far less complicated. A number of 2nd tier tackles could step in and play LG for this team. Personally, I would prefer a larger, more physical type of Guard to play along side Glenn. Most Tackles in any draft have the feet and athleticism to pull as a Guard. Levitre is as good as he will ever be. -

Stevie Johnson doesn't workout in the offseason
RealityCheck replied to ET1062's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thread is proof that most people can only process half of what they hear and none of what they see. The notion that Stevie lays on the coach in the offseason should have been taken as an obvious joke. Apparently some posters have decided to be an even bigger joke with their rush to judgements. -
Are we seriously going to let Levitre walk?
RealityCheck replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tagging Levitre is beyond stupid. It won't happen. Byrd however is likely to be tagged if no long term deal is reached. -
BREAKING: Bills release Nick Barnett
RealityCheck replied to SBUffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank God those guys are gone. It had to happen, much like pruning the rotten leaves off of a tree. These guys were DOA in 2012. -
When are we going to start talking about Chandler?
RealityCheck replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chandler is a guy that looked good occasionally on a 6-10 team. They could use an upgrade big time. His run blocking is inconsistent at best. -
Are we seriously going to let Levitre walk?
RealityCheck replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see Levitre back but what fan doesn't? The question is money. Past 6 or 7 million a year I just don't see how he is worth it. He has physically peaked and leaves a lot to be desired in straight line blocking. Like it or not, if the Bills get outbid for his services, I could easily see a number of big Tackles in the draft that could step in and play Guard. Lets not forget that IF Cordy Glenn doesn't pan out at T that LG could be a great spot for him if Levitre is not on the roster. -
If you think you hate the Patriots now, listen to this...
RealityCheck replied to bbb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cheating makes the world go round. Getting caught is the real issue. Sports fans support the drug culture in sports as long as the drug tests are passed. Does anyone ever show up to traffic court prepared to plead guilty even when the radar gun caught you fair and square? Everybody lies and cheats in their own way when the prospect of losing money enters the picture. If you're dishonest about the small stuff in your life, how would you handle the big stuff? If you're the type to fight traffic tickets even when your caught red handed, you would probably be rocking some PEDs if millions of dollars were on the table. Hell, Viagra is a PED for many people, and how many of those people will own up to their old ladies about that? When money is on the line, sports and games become business, and that business has a bottom line for everyone involved. PEDs are becoming pervasive in law enforcement and the military, but of course that is different. -

Base Nickel Defense
RealityCheck replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is long overdue for DCs to look at the nickel as your base defense in the modern NFL. How these guys put so much work into archaic alignments that they will barely use is beyond me. Within the nickel you have 4 primary combos of DL to LB that offer a tremendous amount of versatility against heavy run sets and spread sets. -
No talk between Bills and Byrd / Levitre
RealityCheck replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is just like Stevie last year. It's early. The season isn't even over. -
Stevie Johnson doesn't workout in the offseason
RealityCheck replied to ET1062's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It doesn't matter what Stevie says. The notion that he does not work out is a joke. There is no way that he doesn't get after it at least on his own in the off-season. -
Wow. Where did you get Warmack from? There are bigger, higher upside 3rd round tackles that could do Levitre's job and grow to be far more physical in the long run for less money now. He is a guard in the NFL and is physically good now as he will ever be. His ceiling is just about hit and it will be down hill from here. I would like a more physical specimen at his spot lining up next to Cordy.

DREW BLEDSOE VS. FITZPATRICK (stats in b-lo)
RealityCheck replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They both stink. Which stinks worse? I can't wait to find out.
