  1. I get the offense was bad. Especially frustrating because we could have won by running more. But, hypothetically here, say PI is called on EJ's pick at the end of the game, like it should have been. Hypothetically, say he throws a TD to win the game one play later. That's one play different than what we saw. By all accounts, still a horrible game for EJ. However, we wouldn't have nearly as much pessimism, because of the win. The missed receivers, tipped passes, late throws, etc. would be an afterthought. EJ is a young QB. Our coaches are a young staff. Both need to improve drastically. That being said, it does the franchise no good firing coaches or benching our 1st round QB at this point. EJ has potential. Our coaches have potential to be great. They need the opportunity to learn from mistakes and take that next step. Don't get me wrong. I would love to win now. Orton could maybe provide this. Maybe not. I'm more interested in finding consistency to win for years. EJ needs to play so we can determine if he is part of the future. Also, we'll make the playoffs this year.
  2. What sucks the most is coming to this board and reading all the pessimism. Reading all the b*tch*ng is WAY harder to stomach than the poor play displayed on the field today.
  3. 12) Not sure how you're seeing this. Several times EJ should have been down in the backfield but kept the play alive with some good balance and nimble feet. Pertaining to when he scrambles out of the pocket and up the field, yes, he goes down easy. I believe, however, this is coached and intentional to avoid unnecessary injury for extra inches. Right? EJ had a performance almost identical to the first two weeks, both on the field and final statistics. Yet the first two weeks, because we won, he was "really developing" and "improving greatly". Now, people are calling for Orton. I get it, we lost, but not because of EJ. Just like we didn't win the first two because of EJ.
  4. 2 for 4 on CBS pregame. Tony and Bill picked us. Bart and Boomer picked SD.
  5. I'm sure we would all, mostly, be extremely satisfied with this type of season from our 2nd year QB.
  6. IF he lives up to my prediction, and with our D...I'd put us at 11 wins. We saw Freddy catch 7 passes last week, correct? It's using our RBs in this manner (even if it is a check down and not the first, second or third option), and their ability to run after those catches, that have me believing 30 TDs is a real possibility.
  7. I think the talent around EJ, both the WRs' run after catch yardage and our RBs catching passes, will help his stats a lot.
  8. Let's get a little optimism going around here (or let your hate out, haters), and get ready for the 2014 season!! Throw out your prediction for EJ's stats at the end of the regular season. We'll worry about his post season stats when we lock up the division at the end of November. What say I? 3,700 yards, 30 TDs, 15 INTs, and a 65% completion percentage
  9. My favorite quote in regards to our D line..."Wouldn't surprise me if this is the last time we see Ryan this year"
  10. Would have liked to see Cleveland win (based on remaining schedule), but if Chiefs can maintain their lead, Baltimore holds on, and Carolina can comeback and win I'll be happy.
  11. Rustee Fuc....I mean Frostee Rucker
  12. Good thing we don't let the fans run this team. I remember, also last year, that everyone was so upset we cut Tank Carder. Granted, some of that had to do with the Lynch trade, what we got in return, yadda yadda yadda lobster bisque... But anyway... I looked up Tank's stats just for fun. FOUR total tackles this year. Although, 75% of those are solo tackles. Imagine if the fans ran this team. Aaron Williams would be gone, Tank would be starting at LB, and Roscoe would still be returning punts. Oh, and Stevie, our best receiver and a player that absolutely loves this team and city, would be gone.
  13. Right. Lets trade a proven NFL player who is a top contributor to this team on and off the field for a pick we can use to take a player that will maybe work out. Then, if that player is a bust we can start topics about cutting said player or about how we should trade player to team x for a 7th round pick. I mean that team would be crazy not to want a former 1st or 2nd rounder for a 7th round pick. Right? Right?!?!?
  14. No. Why does everyone always want to trade our entire team away?
  15. They only said this to make Byrd actually play hard. Would he play to the highest level for the Bills? Probably not. Will he play if he thinks he's auditioning for another team? Hmmmm
  16. We can run fake punts again!!
  17. Time to regroup and put 7 on the board!
  18. I'm not sure I would even enjoy a Bills blowout for a victory after the excitement of a game like that!!!!

  20. Hoping for more NE FGs so I can get more fantasy points. Oh, and some Geno INTs for my own amusement and so we can say EJ is obviously the better QB.
  21. I was watching Mike and Mike and they were going through a bunch of top 5s from the first week of football. Top five catches, top five did that really happen, etc. Right as I had to leave they were cutting away to a commercial but said they would do the top five speeches when they returned, and happened to show a picture of Freddie as they were cutting away. Did anyone see this or know if Jackson's sideline huddle speech got mentioned? Just curious and also, its great to see our true leaders stepping up when needed.
  22. I believe Marrone mentioned that after having Tuesday off they would practice Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, before doing a normal walkthrough Saturday.
  23. My thoughts exactly. Let's hope the knee heals and EJ is on the field week 1.
