If this would happen it would suck because CJ is a weapon weather or not some of the Bills fans here think so . I hope he stays to see just what Roman has in mind for him , that could be pretty exciting ! But if he does leave we have 3 other competent backs i would just hate to see CJ go to some one in our division , but the Jets would love it after the recent hire of Rex here ...

If you bring back the red helmets it would mean instead of all blue uni's they would have all red uni's & that would look TERRIBLE !!!!

Matt Moore has always done good things when i was watching , maybe i missed something on him though . He would be a cheap veteran pick up that could give competition to push EJ & he would be motivated to win the starting job if it was a open competition . I would look toward other young QB's on other teams that had good college production like the kid from OU after Bradford , he's sitting on a bench doing practice team reps . If the Foles /Sanchez thing doesn't work there are 2 competent QB's with another good college QB backing them , it's up to Whaley to put it out there . I think he will get it done !!

Well he does need a tax right off so maybe that was part of his master plan ???

You can't win with a bad defense !! No Way ! No How !! I've seen really good defensive teams win with mediocre QB or offensive play but i've never seen it the other way around . Yes a QB is very important but how many games would the Bills have won this year with the Wannstadt defense from a couple years ago ?? It takes all 3 phases of the game to contribute to win a championship actually 4 if you consider the coaching staff as one of those parts of the team .

First thing i would like to thank D.M. for opting out , in light of what has happened i think it was the best thing that could have happened to the Bills !! One thing that came to my attention in the introductory press conference of Rex (besides that we now have a competent coach) was when Brandon himself said that he will be in charge of what he knows best which is the business end of the team& he has nothing to do with actual football or player decisions ! I am glad that the Pegula's made the decision to put him back in his cage . I personally believe that the Marrone hire was more Brandon than any one else that were involved in the process of making that coaching hire . Buddy was on his way out , Whaley was only half way to being the actual GM & all of Ralph's power was given to Brandon to make actual decisions . Ralph left the control of the team in Brandons hands & he is not a "football" guy ! But i think because of the connection with Syracuse he lobbied for Marrone hard & being in the position he was may have used his power to trump others candidates or help them to lean his way . We now no longer have to worry about that because they have put Russ back where he belongs . I can't remember at what point Russ him self talks about it at the press conference but i for one was glad to here he would no longer be making the football decisions for the Bills !! How bout you ?? The start to the Pegula era of the Bills is looking very good !!

I think we have the talent to upgrade the O line on the roster we just have to have a coach that knows how to get those young players where they need to be . And that wasn't going to happen with a second string player turned coach & especially one that didn't have the experience he needed to be a coach in the NFL !!! But now that we have a competent coach on both sides of the ball i believe we will see just what good coaching can do for a unit like we did when Joe D was here , that O line did really well in both running the ball & in pass protection & the players were basically the same just the coaching philosophy was different ...

They were trying to do the same thing to him that Marrone was trying to do to EJ & we see in both instances how well that worked !! I hope if Roman uses EJ he studies some of Gailey's tape on how to make use of a players strengths & not change them into something they are not ! Fitz now has his fortune thanks to Chan & he made him a viable QB for a while ...

I think it's a great hire ! Chan is a offensive guy . He can (unlike others) see what is a players strengths & adjust his scheme to their strengths which will be good for their young QB .. I think he will make him a better QB … But just not good enough to beat the Bills !!!

We need to take care of our own FIRST then think about brining in others . I know guard is a need for our team & i think Whaley & company will or have found the guys to fill that whole , but only time will tell . If we get a really good O line guy i think he can do wonders with the young talent that we have & get rid of the old O line coach & players like Pears & add the draft this year or FA (as long as we don't have to mortgage the farm to get a guy) . It can be done !!

Spiller has always said he wants to stay in B/lo & he is one player that i believe when he says something ! He would be a great asset in Romans arsenal & i bet he would know how to use him because he will have a O line coach that is much better than Marrone & his guy at coaching up the O line ...

There is the thing of being "just another coach" & all of those teams are on the outside looking in at the play offs every year because they have "just another coach" but then there are the other guy's that are for real NFL HC's that come in from day one & change the team because they know how to use what talent that have ! Like Harbaugh , Arians , the other Harbaugh , Bellichek , McCarthy & so on ...

No one since Chan has known how to use CJ to his full potential . Marrone & Hacketts inexperience cost us the play offs this year !! I think part of the reason why Orton was always looking like he was pissed & why he retired could have been due a lot in part of to how Marrone wanted the offense run . FJ said Hackett was a all out kind of guy & that was nothing like our offense this year .. I hope he stays , i don't think he will but time will tell ..

That is the biggest rip off out there ! Soon it will be as outrageous as going to a BB game ! How can you charge twice for the same seat ? PSL then you have to charge again for the ticket on that seat ? Who ever does that has more money than brains ! thats like buying a car & paying for it twice makes no sense what so ever !! Not to mention the Falcons don't or didn't need a new stadium the Georgia dome wasn't but about 10 or 12 years old talk about ridiculous !!

Why wasn't this guy on our radar for a HC ing prospect , his resume sounds pretty dang good to me !! He has a down the field attacking type scheme man that would have been fun to watch . Plus given the fact that the guy had the #2 rushing attack on the Jags dang thats saying something !! Can you imagine what he could have done with what we got ?

If he couldn't do no better than what he did with the talent we had on the roster let him go there's got to be better out there . But good luck to you Ty !!!

I like the guts Whaley put forth in seeing what he wanted & going for it & i think Watkins is all that & a bag of chips BUT that being said the kid from FSU Kevin Benjamin had a great rookie year & i think he would have been there when the Bills picked at their original spot which would have been a great pick also & more along the lines of what they had said they wanted a BIG WR that was open when their not . To add to that EJ had a ton a familiarity with him , ow he ran routes , his work ethic all because they were team mates i was kind of thinking that should be the way the Bills would go given all that but didn't & am OK with it . We haven't had that kind of balls in the draft room since Pollian was here & that is one of the reasons why i hope they see fit to laeve Whaley & his scout crew at their posts because the guy has a nose for talent , even if to this point it's not for a QB unless he see's what we are all missing ...

I could see something like this if it was for Marcus Mariotta or MAYBE even Winston if he were to grow up if he continues to do stupid things then let some one else have him but Whaley has proven to be a wheeler dealer so i wouldn't put any thing past him .. Go get them D. W. !!

How many coaches would you be looking at if it was your money behind the check for $1.4 Billion that was written to buy the Bills ?? You don't get to be a Billionaire just by being lucky & most of those that do get to have a lot of money lose it in a short period of time if they don't do the right things with it while they have it . So myself if i am the Pegula's i'm looking at every person i can that has the correct resume & potential to do my company the best they can do . I personally think that the Pegula's & Whaley are trying to keep the band together so there isn't a huge change in scheme & coaching philosophy which would help the rookies & young players a like . I also believe with how Whaley is talking up EJ & wanting the new HC to work with him that they may be thinking from what they saw & what has been said about Marrones approach to coaching the team , that they may want to keep the coaching staff they have now in place or a least most of them . Which again would help EJ & the young receiving corp along instead of blowing up every thing yet again to have EJ & company set back to learning another scheme . Fred Jackson said he believes that Hackett was held back & that is basically what we saw when EJ was on the field a dink & dunk type of offense . Almost afraid to go down the field . EJ himself even said if was to get back on the field he was going to let it go , so was he in fact being held back by Marrone ? Then there is the talk of how the O line was trying to listen to the O line coach , plus Marrone would try to coach them too & the TE coach was trying to do his impression of a O line coach causing confusion among them . So if that be the case & this was something that not only Whaley but the players noticed the offense couldn't or didn't have a chance to go to it's full potential . But the other phases of the game did because Marrone didn't have as much if any input on how defense & ST's were run . But if the powers that be are trying or think this in any way was the problem i can see why they are going through so many HC ing interviews because it would be very hard to get a new HC to keep what is in place & have them just run what is there . Which when Marroone was hired i wondered with the O line , & the ST's units ranked so high WHY would you want to change them if they were doing so well ? From what we are hereing now it sounds like a pure ego thing with Marroone … But i am glad that this HC ing search is truly in every way a extensive & exhaustive search unlike the last one I just wonder if they will talk to Trestman ?? Time will tell !!

The last time we hired a HC the search (according to those doing it) was exhaustive & extensive & you see where that got us ! If you were the man that put $1.4 BILLION on the table for a sports franchise wouldn't you look at every possible candidate to make your team better or would you do what the previous people did in their search & limit it to 5 people ? If it's me i'm doing what these guys are doing & leaving no stone unturned !! May the best man (no homer hires) win !!

Marty should be brought in as head of football operations at B/lo , he has all the experience you would want & could be a good person to bounce things off of as a GM … As long as there were no power struggles between the 2 positions ...
