I forgot about Gowdy another great voice !!

So i just replied to a post about the announcers changing for this seasons SNF crew with the legendary voice of Al Michaels leaving with the possibility of him retiring sooner than later it got me thinking for a lot of us growing up we have heard some of the legendary announcers of all time unique voices & perspectives of the games were part of the love we developed for this game . Cosell, Gifford, Dandy Don, Micheals, Sumerall, Madden, & all those in between that have brought us & helped us develop the love of this game over the years but i wonder which of these voices that we have listened to & have for the most part now left us have given you a favorite you loved to listen to with a new crop of announcers coming in which is your favorite ? My first recollection is Howard Cosell his voice was so unique and his presentation on MNF of how he put into words was 1 of a kind & you immediately knew who was talking when he was on the mike then of course 1 that changed announcing games for ever is Madden i loved everything about the way he changed the game to watch for the better . I don't know if there will ever be another like what Madden brought to the booth as far as how he explained the game while we watched and we will never forget his explanation of a guy being hit BOOM he was awesome . My top 3 voices of the NFL game i think are Madden 1 Cosell 2 Boomer 3 - although Boomer didn't do a regular slate of NFL games his Sunday NFL count down was legendary with his vocal inflections & sayings he brought to the game once it's gone will be missed along with the others . So who's your favorite NFL announcer or announcers for TV & some memories from over the years when you think back of their days in the booth ?

I know i have heard earlier but have forgotten where is Al going is it thursday night ?? Seeing as he is getting up in age i would expect him to be slowing down or retiring soon then we will all have to get use to the newer announcers all the legendary voices of the game will be going away .

I am going to stick to what i always have said this money is just stupid money to play a game & it will undoubtedly continue in that same direction as long as they are willing to continue to give it out & why not take it but in the grand scheme of things i will never understand it ...

The Texans game i don't think can be put on McD the players should know do not let him catch the ball the same with the hail Murray that is on the players not the coach & the 13 seconds yah i'll give you that one i can't for the life of me see why that went down the way it did but i'm sure McD being the guy he is won't let that happen again . Which goes to my point he's still young in the HCing thing and you can't practice every scenario & i feel if he had that to do over agin it would be different & could quite possibly be why the ST coach is gone because could it have been his responsibility to get the correct call to the kicker that started the catastrify ? We will never know i guess but i feel McD has learned & will grow from that series of events & it will bring the Bills a super bowl from it .

Well if there was a agreement for the city to come up with the funding & they continually drag their feet a business man such as Tepper will only fool around for so long he didn't get in the position he is in by waiting on those that dilly dally he made it happen . And in a lot of ways when ever you involve gov't that kind of thing will happen I'm just glad the local gov't in Buffalo didn't drag their feet when it cam to getting the Bills a new home !!

I get it but you have to interject some common sense in the thought process & i don't have a problem helping people less fortunate than i but you can only do so much and when is enough enough ? Lets say for the sake of conversation you have a portion of your family say a brother & sister they have 3 kids each & their spouses & you know either they will not get a job or are less than motivated & in a bad financial way then you add to it that they may be infected with covid with out finding out if they are would you let them into your house around your immediate family of which one or more would have numerous comorbidities & allow them to stay for a couple of years while you pay for everything they would need to survive ? And if so how long would you be willing to do that & be able to sustain it on the salary you make . See that is a huge part of it we have to live with in our means these politicians just continue to print money & put the burden on the American people while it in no way effects them . There is only so much money to help those in need well in the real world unless you can just print as much money as you want which American politicians seem to always do & we have people here in the US that are citizens that are gong hungry & i'm thinking they should be a priority because they are citizens correct ? In that same thing i was listening to it was said those that try to enter other countries illegally are arrested serve a short sentence & are not allowed to become citizens of other countries why should that be any different here just because we are America ? Well seeing as the debt in the US is astronomical increasing every day & there is no way on god's green earth that the yahoo's in charge will ever pay it off especially if they continually have our borders wide open ! Then they do things like they are doing repealing laws slowing the influx of people especially one that helps to in some small way helping to control those coming in possibly infected with covid that could & more than likely does help to spread the virus & i would like to see a little more common sense used in their thought process . But as my old man use to say i can S**T in one hand & wish in the other and see which one fills up the fastest with the morons that are in charge .

I was listening to some figures today that last month there were something like 12000 immigrants that came across the southern border illegally & a huge number of them were children . And a 3 year old was left unattended at the border now there's a parent that cares !! My question is where is the rational thought in the reasoning of getting rid of title 42 ? There is a growing number of the democratic party that disagree with Biden wanting to do away with it because they know when that happens there will be a even bigger surge at the border . And once again with no plan in place a total lack of fore thought before doing something which seems to be a pattern the border officers are bracing for something they haven't seen in a really long time as far as the amount of people that will be trying to come here . It will take a lot more than the VP & her boss standing at a press conference & saying "Don't come" ! It really boggles my mind how they can think this is going turn out any way but bad actually terrible truth be told . For once i would love to see them have a solid plan implemented but they don't do it . Then when asked about that & the covid question mixed in the brilliant red head Pisaki apparently can't multi task she says if you want to have a discussion on immigration we can talk about that but if you want to have a talk about covid we can talk about that but with getting rid of that law they open every thing up for nothing but a total disaster . Yet hey still think it is a good idea How can they think it is & Why could you think it would be a good idea ? WTH are they thinking ?

My opinion is based off of what Cosell said on 1 Bills Live he said Pickens was the best all around WR & that he thought Walker was the best of the 3 at Georgia if i remember correctly given that endorsement from him I'm willing to go all in on those 2 .

I get it but what part of winning is interpreted as bad ? They have won the east what 2 years in a row been to the AFC championship game & were 1 game away last year & most know if not for for the coin toss it would have been a entirely different season . So with that seeing as they are a team now that is always in the play off hunt & win enough to be a part of that after only 3 years of winning like they have why would you want to get rid of him IMHO that makes no sense what so ever . Look at the Steelers they keep their head coaches & despite Tomlin not having good years they don't just get rid of him because he is a winner and a really good coach so do we go back to the old Bills ways & fire every coach after 4 years that doesn't do well or do we take a page from the Steelers & keep our coach while winning & continue with the stability . I will vote after the many years of the Bills not being relevant to keep a really good coach & go into the future with what we have as a HC & let him determine the path & i hope the Pegs think the same way because they have been changing coaches on the Sabres & that's not been good for the team so they have something to compare to .

None of them unless these 2 guys weren't on the board Quay Walker or George Picket are my picks for the Bills .

So if they were to fire McD who would they bring in there aren't many out there that have a better winning percentage than McD & I'm not sure that there amy be one out there that is or would be better . After the drought i'd be happy with winning the east every year & getting deep in the play offs sure the ultimate goal is the super bowl & i will say if there are the type of break downs they had last year in the KC game & McD doesn't learn from those mistakes then yes it's time for a change . But seeing as McD is only in his 6th yr as a HC & he has accomplished what he has in that period of time he is still young in his position & where was Andy Reid, Bill Parcels, Bill Belichek in their 6th season as head coach just saying i don't feel we need to throw the baby out with the bath water . It will come & this year should be the year but S**T happens some times that is beyond peoples control & i don't think the Pegs will jump ship if the team is still winning .

Yah kind of just like those that voted for the dope in office now thinking that he truly had the peoples best interest in mind which he has shown that to not be his first thoughts . As far as putting him in a bad place he used 50 some executive orders to undo all that was in place so he could just fall back on that but i'm thinking the prior wanted to get out of it because the treaty wasn't a good thing for our countries defense ! You add to it that we have satellites if Biden was bright enough to ask to use those he could see exactly what he needs to see with out complaining about not having the treaty both sides will look to see what the other is doing treaty or not .

I moved from WNY in the mid 80's to get out of the cold & moved to Ft. Myers lived & worked there & in Naples for 25 yrs it is a very nice place to live still have a ton of friends there & would love to move back in the future ! I still know a bunch of other Bills fans that have homes there still great area to live for Bills snow birds .

Dam we could be making progress BT !! It sure is if we were to unite against such corruption instead of always being divisive we could probably make much more head way but as long as that corruption exists they will use it to their advantage & always try to keep us fussing with each other . Kushner & Hunter are 2 peas in a pod one has China/Ukraine & the other has Saudi Arabia all those in Washington weave a tangled web we just choose which one to throw under the bus to fit the narrative or agenda we want to follow but they are all crooked as a river even those that seem to be the US savior have their dirt . The last 2 presidents that truly cared about the country IMHO were Kennedy & Ronald Regan & they had their dirt and now we have pawns that do others bidding & if by chance you stand up against the status quo you are hated beyond belief but if you stand with them you are loved no matter what you do . You can bet that if we knew exactly what goes on behind the scenes these type of things would be minuscule in comparison .

Maybe but it has always left a bad taste with me i was so pissed when he wouldn't come to the Bills after they drafted him & all the bad things he said but he made up for it . Like they say winning changes everything but it took me a while !!

If any one can give Sammy's career a boost it's Rogers but it's going to take a heck of a lot to replace Adams that's for sure but if Sammy can stay healthy he could definitely help the cause .

The man has set the bar very high & by example shown other how to go about building a team . There had to be some luck involved along the line i think or is Beane really that good ? I know as we all do for years every QB that came here some of which had a good arm & different skills similar to Josh but went to the way side for what ever reason i think a lot can be attributed to every one at the top working together with the same mind set from the Pegs on down . Ralph got it right a couple of times but then there were those times he had to get in the middle of things like when Wade was the coach some owners are just that way & if the Pegs were that way we may still be in a funk but thank god they are not . Them having faith and allowing those that they hired to do their job & recognizing prior to Beanes hire those that couldn't is great for the Bills & their future .

Yes we are blessed but one big thing people seem to forget is back in the day Buffalo was a big deal it was a city that had a lot of ties to the steel industry & much more presidents use to visit Buffalo because of it's influence in elections . There use to be a ton of automotive factories and being where there were 2 lakes they could transport a lot of goods that way so i think that was a big reason why Ralph chose Buffalo at the time he was choosing which city he would bring this team to . Today given the NYS economy the tax structure & the amount of business that has left i don't think Buffalo would be a consideration for a major NFL franchise but yes we are all blessed to have the Bills & even more blessed now that Ralph sold them to the Pegula's . So we all can look forward to many more years of Buffalo sports & with the hopes that Josh can finally bring a Lombardi to Buffalo !! GO BILLS !!!!

I think McD will always look to this he has had a history with that he feels a trust with to get the skinny on players that are coming out in any draft so there could be a connection but i think this year another thing that will be put into the equation is future contracts . The biggest one to me is what Edmunds will want as far as money & i don't think that Beane will agree with the amount so i feel they will draft a LB in this years draft to take his place because although he is a good player i don't think what he does on the field will match with how much he wants to get paid for the Bills . Then if you factor in the type of LB's that are in this draft the Bills could very easily get one that is better than Edmunds too which one of those LB's coaches have a tie to McD that may be one to look at 1 has a tie to Josh the kid from Wyoming he may be 1 to look at does McD have any relations with that coach seeing as they got Josh from there 🤔
